Tinsley slowly entered the mall and inhaled a breath of air, before she silently exhaled it. The action didn't count as mere breathing in order to live, the breath was also a tiny preparation ritual for dealing with a large group of people. Concentrating on a single breath of her own helped her to relax and to focus, so she wouldn't be overwhelmed by to many thoughts at once. Sure, it would be easier to live in a hole and avoid contact, but she wasn't raised like that. Plus, the idea of being isolated was lonely and Tinsley often tried to remind herself that there was at least one pro, to the many cons that burden her. It was the idea of helping someone with a problem, in a discrete and quickened fashion that made things a little bearable. Within a instant, Tinsley's ritual was over and she finally entered the mall by a few steps to be near the directory, and perked an eyebrow toward some of the thoughts that poured in from different women and men. I'm cheating on my boyfriend and I'm loving it! This nosering is killer, mom's gonna freak though. Damn vampires. Someone should remove them all.
The last thought that entered her brain, which concerned vampires had caused Tinsley to lower her eyebrow. It reminded her on how hateful thoughts could be. She was different. Right? Being wary about something you didn't know was safe, and she shook her forehead. Tinsley doubted that she would meet any vampires at the mall, because she wasn't interesting enough to gain attention. With a shoulder roll, she thought about the few times that she had been to this mall. So, she wasn't lost on where a few stores were. So why look at the directory at all? It was fun to see what made people shop and where they flock to. Tinsley's reason for shopping had been to check out the book store, and to pick out a new outfit. Maybe even pick up something for Kate. Then, she would scurry right out the door. To be honest, shopping wasn't her thing; it was more or less "Kate's thing." Although, one has to shop from time to time. Just as she was about to walk away from the directory, someone asked her a question.
