Kyle--Afternoon bite.

Kyle took a little time to close out his tab, before he returned to Niccy's side. Kyle was really looking forward to this outing, maybe date, with Niccy. She looked very beautiful as he walked up to her."Well, we are all settled with the bill, I'm ready to go when you are." He made a sweeping gesture with his hand, "Please ladies first." Kyle watched Niccy go ahead a little bit, he enjoyed that. He quickly caught up to her side and offered her his arm, "Shall we?" He hoped he wasn't sounding cheesey again, he was trying to be a gentleman.

Kyle walked with Niccy, arms entwined to her car. "Nice car", Kyle said, "what year is it?" Stupid question Kyle, she probably isn't all that interested cars. "So, how far is it to this waterfall? You said it was down by the beach, right?" At this point Kyle was just asking questions to fill up the time to the beach, he was a little out of practice with small talk, well small talk with a woman he found interesting at least. Kyle tried to keep the talk interesting but he was stretching the limit of his skills a bit.

Kyle eventually decided to discuss their destination. "So how big is this waterfall we are headed to, or should I just be surprised?"

Niccy waited beside her seat before the boy returned to her. "Why thank you." She grinned softly before taking the lead, she made her way out of the boy before she felt the boy by her side. A small giggle fell from her lips as she took his him, she was finding it very cute. After a little walk down the road, they had reached her car, entwining their arms, she walked round to the driver seat of her little mini cooper. "If I'm honest, I have no idea, I just fell in love it with." She smiled softly before she unlocked her car and plonked her little bottom on the seat. "Yeah, it's down by the beach. There's this little off road bit where you can drive down and you find the waterfall." She nodded softly before she started the car and started driving towards the beach.

"It's a surprise." She looked over to him and winked, it then followed with a little giggle before she concentrated back on the road. On the way there they chatted about loads of little things and it was nice to get to know him a little bit more. After about ten or so minutes, they had reached the off road part, not many people went down there, you could tell by there being no wheel marks. Niccy carried on driving up the road and then pulled down a corner to pull up to a massive waterfall. Stopping the car just a little away from it, so her car didn't get drenched or anything, she looked at Kyle and grinned. "Come on gorgeous." She giggled before she got out of the car. See now, this waterfall is so big that you can walk behind the water and sit down. And that was what her plan was. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Nic said softly before she gently grabbed the guys hand and pulled him with her, her feet followed closer towards the waterfall. "Wanna go behind it?"

Kyle took a good look at the waterfall, saw how the sunlight created that prism affect in the mists rising off the cascading water. He agreed with Niccy, it was quite the sight to behold. "Yeah, its the second most beautiful thing I've seen today." There you go getting cheesy again, Kyle thought. "And yes, I would like to go behind the falls, that sounds great. Would you like to lead the way?" Kyle said the last part motioning to the waterfall. As they got closer, Kyle took note of the mist in the air that was rising off the water, then took off his jacket and offered it to Niccy, "Would you like my jacket, so you don't get too wet?"

Kyle offered Niccy his arm again as they headed behind the waterfall. She lead the way, which was only reasonable since she was the only one of the two who has ever been here before. It was cooler back behind the waterfall, and there was a fine mist in the air back here as well, that was adhering to both of them. It was also a little louder so Kyle had to speak up a bit to be heard over the waterfall. "This is really nice, thanks for bringing me here. Its too bad we didn't bring a picnic or something." Kyle took a quick look around, "So is there a spot where you prefer to sit?"

Niccy giggled softly as he listened to him being cheesy comment once again, but it wasn't a bad thing, she was quite liking it. "You're cute." She grinned softly before she nodded her head softly and began to make her way behind the waterfall. Her high heels probably weren't the best shoes to where near a slippery rocks but she knew where not to walk. She listened to her heels echo through the space around her. Turning around to hear the boy speak to her, she smiled softly at his kind thought. "Thank you sweetie." She said softly before taking it from his and quickly sliding her hands through the arms and lifting it up onto her shoulders. She then started to walk through the waterfall, feeling the mist hit her bare flesh.

Once Kyle and Niccy got through to the back of the waterfall, she stopped and turned to him. "No problem, I need to share it's beauty." It was true though, even though she wanted to keep the place to herself, she couldn't really, other people would find out about it but she was glad that she brought him there. "Yeah it is a shame. But oh well. And oh, yeah... Over here." Making her hair flick in the air as she turned around and headed to the little rock just a little bit further in so it wasn't as loud and they could hear each other more. Plonking her hair onto the flat rock, she looked at Kyle and tapped her fingers onto the space next to her.

Kyle went over and sat next to Niccy where she had indicated. Kyle suddenly felt awkward, he really wasn't sure what to do next. He also couldn't help but flash back to underneath his high school bleachers with Vanessa Riley. It was Kyle's freshman year and Vanessa Riley had been his first kiss, boy he thought that had been one awkward kiss. Then again it had lead to several other make-out sessions under those same bleachers. Kyle knew he had improved his kissing technique since then but he hadn't been in this type of situation in a couple of years.

Kyle turned and looked at Niccy and smiled. He was also fidgeting with his hands, yep I feel like a high school freshman all over again. Say something damn it, "So how often do you come here? I'd probably come here a lot if I had the time. But you know, hectic schedule." Oh Kyle, you sound like a moron he thought. Kyle decided to just let her make whatever moves she wanted to, obviously he was a social moron in situations like this. That hadn't always been the case, but it had been since his attack. Wow Kyle, maybe you have too many issues to be here with this beautiful woman, maybe you should just make an excuse to leave.

Watching the boy walk over to her, she lifted her hand from the rock and rested it onto her leg. She slowly crossed her leg over the other and looked at the boy as he sat down. She didn't know what it was but he didn't seem to be that comfortable with her, that he was always thinking about things. She sometimes wished she could know what people were thinking about, but she knew it would probably tear her to pieces. Niccy looked at the boy as he smiled at her and she smiled softly back, she noticed that he was fidgeting with his hands, she knew she was going to have to ask him. But then she heard him speak. "Erm, quite a bit. Every other day probably." She nodded softly.

Niccy looked out to the waterfall, and watched the different colours shimmer through. She bit her lip softly, she had to say something, otherwise it could just keep going on being awkward. "I just need to ask you something, because it's starting to worry if it's me. Do you want to go? Because you just seem to be really awkward and I don't want to keep you here if you don't want to be..." A small sigh fell from her lips, if he did want to leave, she wouldn't stop him, she just wanted to know. Her bright blue eyes moved back over to his and stared into them. 'What do I always do wrong? I seem to either scare them away or fall for the bastard.'

Kyle looked at Niccy, slightly startled that she had asked if it was her, "No of course its not you, its...", Kyle stopped right there, how cliched was that he thought. Kyle chuckled a little bit, "I'm not going to finish that sentence", he looked down, "huh, I think I have some major issues." Kyle stood up and began pacing a bit, "I mean here I am with you...", he said gesturing to Niccy, "...a beautiful women, in a romantic spot", Kyle this time gestured to the area around them. "And I can't seem to get past my own insecurities." Kyle stopped and looked back at Niccy, "I would understand if you wanted to be the one to leave."

Kyle walked over to the still seated Niccy and knelt down, "You must think I'm a real ***hole, huh?" Kyle looked up into Niccy's eyes, "Look at you, you could never be the reason anyone would want to leave." Kyle sat back down next to her, staring once again into his own lap. "I don't know what the hell is wrong with me." Kyle looked back up at Niccy, "Sorry this turned into some sort of an impromptu, one man therapy session." Kyle smiled at her, "I did imagine this going a lot better in my head, when you first suggested we come here." Kyle continued to look into Niccy's eyes, "I'd understand if you wanted to leave, especially since I'm pretty sure I've scared you off by now."

No of course not, Kyle thought inwardly, your incredibly scary behavior certainly wouldn't have done that. Maybe its time to go back to a therapist Kyle, he told himself, you certainly aren't over the events that happened in your recent past. "So did you want to go?", Kyle asked Niccy.
