Eyes sharp Alex moved through the woods her tongue hanging out at she panted, it was a hot day and already Alex was wondering why she had decided to go for a walk through the woods. It was a lot more stuffy and humid in here then it was just being out on the street. And of course since she didn’t really feel like talking to anyone she had changed into a dog, which now she knew was a very bad idea since the dog she changed into had very thick fur. But still she loved the way she felt when she was a dog; so light and carefree. It truly was her favourite form to be in; no one questioned a stray dog walking down the street.
Feeling like she had gone far enough into the forest Alex shifted shapes back to her human form. Letting out a sigh of relief she looked around. It didn’t appear as anyone was here but then again Alex was tired and her senses weren’t what they usually were someone could probably stand behind a tree and she wouldn’t notice them. At the mention of trees Alex spotted one which looked comfy enough to lean against.
Walking over to it Alex slid down, this was just what she needed a nice quiet space where she could just do what she wanted and not have to care about if anyone saw her or not. She almost had an urge to turn into a cat and curl up in the sun. Laughing she shook her head. ”What a site that would be and with my luck a dog would come sniffing by.” Suddenly Alex felt like talking to someone, she actually felt lonely and that made her frown. ”Not having anyone you trust can take its toll.” Alex thought, she wasn’t someone who could just become friends with someone, it needed work. And that really limited who she hung out with.

Christine took in a deep breath, after feeding off of a male human. He had tried to rape her, so it gave her enough motive to suck his blood instead of drinking the blood off of some drunk human. She licked her lips, so that nobody would see the blood that had suck to her face. She was wearing a dark red rose dress, with red high heels. Slowly she grabbed the body, and ran as fast as her legs could carry her to the pier and threw the body into the water. Then she started to walk toward the forest. If she was lucky, Luke or Maggie wouldn't be there. She wanted to be alone right now, so the forest seemed like the best place. She walked as slow as a human, soon being in the forest. She continued walking deeper and deeper into the forest.
She caught a scent in her nose, it wasn't that of a vampire. Nor was it the scent of a human. She wasn't all that sure of what the scent came of, but she couldn't help but be a little scared. She slowly went closer, wanting a peek at the person before taking off the other direction. As she moved closer, the scent became stronger. She hid behide some trees, and stared at a girl laying against a tree. It looked like she was tired too. Christine couldn't remember the last time she had sleep, it was impossible now, but it didn't mean that her bed wasn't being used, She would hid under the blankets when the sun was out. Now it was dark outside, she didn't have to worry about being burned from the dang son.
She took a step back to leave. Her foot stepped onto a stick and it broke making a loud noise. She froze where she stood, not daring to move from her new spot. I sure hope she is friendly...

Alex’s eyes shot open and she was on her feet within three seconds, crouching as her sharp gaze ran over the forest until it fell upon a female. It looked as if she was scared, and as Alex sniffed the air she caught the hint of fresh blood and vampire. Keeping her face carefully blank she stood up all the way, her body protesting the whole time as she uncoiled it. Alex wasn’t sure what to think, she wasn’t really in the mood to talk with anyone but she also wasn’t in the mood to just walk away, she wasn’t sure what she was in the mood for.
Taking a step forward Alex ran her gaze over the female, at this moment she didn’t seem like a threat she actually looked like she wanted to run away. A thoughtful look crossed her face and she wondered if the vampire before her even knew that she was stronger than a shifter and Alex also wondered if she even knew what a shifter was. Cursing to herself in her head Alex let a small smile cross her face because now she was intrigued. So, she decided she would try and be slightly nice just to see if she could get the information that she wanted out of this vampire.
”Hi, I’m Alex. You look like you just had a scare.” She observed, the girl looked like she just had a run in with a ghost. Since when did vampires get scared? Well, unless it was a full moon and there were werewolves around, other than that Alex hadn’t seen vampires have such a sheer look of fear covering their face. Tilting her head sideways Alex tried to figure the girl out, this could be interesting. ”What’s your name?”

Christine stood still as the female stared right at her. She slowly took in breaths, not that she needed them to live, it was just out of habit. The female took a step forward toward her and Christine just stood still, looking at her with fear in her eyes. She just couldn't figure out what this female was, all she knew what that the women wasn't a human, or a vampire. She slightly calmed down when the female smiled at her. She seems nice enough. I sure hope that I am not wrong. When the female spoke, she replied back. "Yeah... I don't know how friendly you are. Nor do I know what you are..." She paused before adding, "I'm sorry, all I know is that you aren't a human or vampire." She looked at the ground before adding, "My name is Christine."
She could feel the girl's eyes staring right at her. She just stood there, thinking to herself. I am still new at this. She felt a shamed at herself. She was getting a little better with accepting blood but still didn't like the thought of drinking it. She looked back at Alex, before adding, "Its nice to met you Alex." It was a bit late, but she always found herself saying that just to be polite. She gave the girl a small smile on her face before taking another step back.

The forest was quiet around them, not the sound of one bird could be heard. It was odd, the forest was usually buzzing with noises, from flies zooming past your ears to the distance howl of coyotes. Different was the word for it, and Alex didn’t know if she thought it was nice or if the lack of sounds made her uneasy, it almost seemed like something was watching, waiting for the right time to show its self, too attack. Shaking her head Alex took a quick sniff at the air to make sure nothing else was near, once satisfied she turned her attention back to the vampire in front of her.
Alex was still unsure as to why this vampire was uneasy around her; she had thought it was common knowledge that shifters were usually not as strong as vampires. And if she had been made a vampire recently –which by her scent she was- then her maker should have filled her in on all the details about what goes on in this town, unless of course she had been made out of hate. Alex knew she couldn’t figure out this stuff on her own and she wanted to know the answers to them, so she was going to figure it out, no matter what she had to do.
”You’ll figure out eventually, but you are right I am nether a vampire or a human.” Brushing off the vampires worries Alex looked around again, she couldn’t get rid of the feeling that someone was watching her and it was bugging her. Hearing her speak again Alex gave her a smile. ”Nice to meet you, Christine. But I have a question for you, who made you?” jumping right in she tried to keep her smile as friendly as possible, she didn’t want to scare Christine away before figuring out what she wanted to know and she could tell that she was already by how the vampire took a step back. ”Nothing to worry about, I won’t harm you.”

Christine wasn't all that sure of what to do or say. She couldn't smell anything else about. It seemed the two were alone, and she wasn't all that sure if that was a good thing or not. Whether Maggie told her the facts or not about how strong she was, she couldn't remember. All she knew was that she couldn't figure out what this girl was, and was uneasy around her. She had been changed out of hate, because she had told Maggie that she would rather die then live in this hell hole with her. The girl had answered her, well Alex had answered her. She took in a deep breath, feeling a bit better now. "May I ask what you are?" She asked, hoping that Alex wouldn't be offended by the question.
Christine looked around again, still alone. "Are you okay?" She asked, it was just in her gut that maybe she wasn't the only one that was uneasy. "I'm sorry if I ruined your peace." She spoke, feeling bad about it. She smiled when Alex had said it was nice to meet her back. "I am a vampire." She sounded slightly ashamed of it. She needed blood to live, and she was starting to like it, but still wasn't all that happy about killing people just so that she could live. She was just to scared to go out in the sun to kill herself. When Alex had asked who had turned her, she slightly froze. I wonder if Maggie is known around these parts. "A vampire named Maggie." She answered bitterly. She hated that vampire at this time.
She looked at Alex again, not going to hurt me, can I really take that change? She stood there, then decided that she would take her change. "If you want me to go, I'll go. But please don't hurt me..." Even though Alex had said she wouldn't hurt her, she wasn't all that sure if she could believe her. Maggie had changed her, her father had abused her and her mother stood by and just let it happen. "I grew up in the wrong family, and Maggie changed me... I don't mean to be rude, but why should I trust you?"

Thinking Alex listened to the girl’s question and nodding she replied. ”I’m a shifter, we can turn into any animal we like as long as we can see it. I think older ones can just turn into any animal no matter if they see it, but I can’t be sure about that. I’ve never gotten close to any older ones to know.” To demonstrate Alex turned back into the dog she had been on her walk into the forest. Changing back into her human form she smiled. ”It’s a great way to get away from something or someone you don’t want to talk to.” She said laughing. ”When in animal form the scent of the animal almost overrides our human scent, so it’s usually easy to get past almost anything.” Taking a deep breath Alex relaxed her shoulders, she had nothing to worry about, well at least that was what she was trying to convince herself.
”Hm? Oh yes, I’m fine. Just a little tired is all.” Pausing Alex looked at Christine. ”Oh, no, there’s no need to leave. It’s probably best not to be alone in the forest anyway, never know what’s lurking about.” Smiling she listened to Christine explain who created her, the distain in her voice very clear. ”Don’t be ashamed by it; people are turned all the time. It’s not like you have to kill humans to get blood, there’s the synthetic blood or whatever that was created. Some vampires just choose to kill, I guess for the thrill.” Moving her shoulders she paced back and forth a bit. ”That name sounds familiar...” Trying to think of where she knew it from Alex brought her hand up to her chin. But for the life of her she couldn’t remember who the name belonged to. ”You’ll get use to being a vampire, it’s not all bad, after all you can make humans do whatever you want, a very big upside in my books.” She laughed, Alex didn’t actually want to control humans but right now she was trying to make the vampire in front of her feel better.
Shaking her head Alex held up a hand. ”No need to leave, and like I said I won’t hurt you, you’ve done nothing to cause me to want to.” She replied, Alex wasn’t one to pick fights with people who didn’t disserve to get hurt, to her it wasn’t worth the chance of getting hurt herself. ”I can’t tell you why you should trust me; that is up to you to decide. But I’ll start by saying, my actual name is Alexandra. I go by Alex mostly because I find Alexandra is too much of an adult name for me.” Shrugging Alex sat down on the ground; her legs were tired from all the walking she had done lately and she wanted to give them a little rest. Putting her hands behind her back Alex leaned on them and looked up, this woman was the first one she had told her real name to and she had no idea why she had done it or why she didn’t regret it. Maybe it was how scared she look or maybe how she reminded Alex of herself but either way she felt a pull towards the vampire and wasn’t sure if it was a good or bad thing. ”This could turn out very bad...” She thought but quickly pushed the worry away, she was having an actual civil conversation with someone and she wanted to see how long she could keep it up for.
Usually it took months for her to even feel like sharing a few words with someone, but for some reason Alex wasn’t even slightly annoyed or angry with Christine and that was probably a good thing. It was about time she found someone she could stand to be around.

Christine took notes as Alex explained what she was and what she could do. "Were you born this way?" She asked as Alex changed into a dog, which in her mind looked so cute. She nodded to Alex, it would be a nice way to get another and not be bothered. She was impressed at how Alex could shift so easily. It didn't seem to bother her at all, or that is what Christine believed anyway. Christine looked at Alex when she gave that answer. "I mean I seen you looking around or something." Christine shut up, it was none of her business, maybe Alex had a reason for looking around. Maybe it would be best if she didn't know. She stood there just taking in what Alex told her.
"More of a reason to be ashamed." She looked down at the ground. "Ever since I was changed, I've had the hardest time drinking human blood without killing them. Most of the time they are drunks, but its still wrong." She understood that feeding off of human blood was wrong, but she was also enjoying it at the same time. "I suppose I can try some of that, I didn't even know that had that stuff." She thought that she had to drink human blood to live. "The only time I killed and enjoyed it was because." She looked at Alex then back at the ground. "My father abused me, my mother stood by and let it happen. I killed them.. and enjoyed it." She hoped that Alex would judge her to badly for her actions.
"Making humans do what I want?" She asked, not caring to much about it. "I just want this blood thirst to stop." This she meant. If she didn't have the pain in her stomach, she believed that she would stop drinking blood all together. Still thinking about leaving, Christine was stopped when Alex shook her head and spoke again. Well that was true, Christine hadn't done anything to give Alex a reason to hurt her. When Alex gave her full name to Christine felt as if she could trust her right away. "Alexandra is such a pretty name. I go by Chris..." Only friends got to call her that. "My friends call me Chris..." She was happy, "You can call me Chris." She watched as Alex sat down on the ground. Christine tried not to stare.
"Do you mind if I join you?" She asked, talking about sitting down next to her. When you stand a long time, your legs start to hurt. She liked Alex, she was the first shifter that she had ever met.
