Alex looked out over the cliffs where she stood, the smells of the far below ocean drifting up to cloud her scenes. The waves were rocking against the rocky wall and seagulls flew far above her head, viewing the whole scene made Alex unable to do anything but smile. She had always been a suck for photography and pictures of landscape were by far her favourite to see. ”Ah, the times I wished I carried a camera around with me.” Sighing she sat down never taking her eyes off the water. She wasn’t sure why she had come all the way up to the cliffs, but Alex found herself being glad she did. It always made her feel at peace with everything around her, the scents and sounds; all worked so well together to make a soothing kind of rhythm.
Laying back on her arms Alex let a smile cross her face, it was close to sunset and she had one of the best views to watch it from. Closing her eyes she shut off all of her scenes, not thinking at anyone or anything other than herself would come up this way. All she wanted to do was relax; after all she had gotten herself into quite a few nasty situations in the past few days. Thinking about them made her laugh; Alex sure had a talent for making encounters with people turn into fights. Of course, that was what made life fun, fighting and pointlessly sleeping with people. At least that`s what consisted for Alex`s happy times in life, but then again she didn`t really know how to do anything else, she kind of lacked the social skills you got well growing up.
Letting out a sigh Alex inwardly shrugged, there was no point in dwelling on the past; it always just made everything seem crappy. Opening her eyes Alex let the sight of the sun dropping sooth her again, after all she had come here to calm herself down.

Carly walked down the street, a low breeze blowing through her hair. A sigh escaped her lips as she pulled the sleeves of her hoodie down over her wrists. There were scars that she had which wouldn't heal, ones that she didn't want people to see. Of course right now she didn't feel like she could stop, nor did she really want to. It was easier to take everything out on herself, this was what she wanted to do, it was a relief for her. No one knew about what she did though, Carly wasn't ready to let people know how she really was. She wanted them to see what they wanted, they had to see the cheery persona that she played in public. It was easier this way.
Another sigh escaped her lips as she got to the beach, her eyes fixed on the sea as she took off her shoes and sat down for a bit, her hands picking up sand and then dropping it onto her jeans. The beach was a good place for some alone time. Just a place to be and stay calm, a place to get time alone without doing anything to herself. A frown appeared on her face as she saw a shadow appear on the sand in front of her just as the sun had gone down and the sky at the beach turned dark, immediately she jumped to her feet and looked at the person that had suddenly shown up. Her instincts kicked in automatically as she saw some fangs extend in the man's mouth, the sand left over in her hand was thrown into his eyes before she started running.
As Carly ran, her eyes looked up at the cliffs. A female was up there, was it worth the risk? Could two people take on this vampire? "Help me! Please?!" Carly felt some hands push against her back and she fell face first into the sand, tears rolling down her cheeks as she wondered if this was how she would die.

Alex head jerked to the side as she heard someone calling for help, getting to her feet she saw a girl get pushed to the ground and by the scents that were hitting her nose she knew it was a vampire. Narrowing her eyes she judged if she really wanted to risk herself in order to help some random woman who she didn’t know. ”Oh, what the hell, I’m already hurt why not add to it?” Speaking to herself her started the walk down to the beach before shifting into a large dog she had saw on the way up to the cliffs. A low growl escaped her throat as she took a running start at the vampire and jumped on him using all her strength to knock him off the female.
Teeth barred she looked down into the man’s face her eyes filled with warning. Lucky for her this vampire appeared to be a new one and shouldn’t be too hard to chase off as long as he wasn’t full of himself and thought he could win ever battle. Twisting her head to look back at the female she let out a sharp bark hoping the female would take the hint and run off Alex turned her attention back to the vampire. Leaping off of his stomach she started slowly circling around him her stance and eyes taking on every characteristic of an animal hunting its prey. Stopping in front of the man she let out a loud warning bark, daring him to come and attack her. She didn’t really know what the vampire was going to do but she almost hoped it would turn out in a fight; she was in the mood for a good battle. And one with a vampire would just make it all the more satisfying.
All but forgetting the female that had brought her here Alex watched as the man got to his feet and walk a few feet away. When he stopped and looked back a low deep growl broke free of her lips and she hoped it would send him running to his creator.

Her face lifted up from the sand in time to see a large dog run down and jump at them. Carly's head lowered in time for the animal to hit the vampire full on and knock him off his feet. It honestly wasn't long after that when she was quickly shuffling away from them, her eyes fixed on the dog wondering what was going to happen. Then the animal looked at her and Carly's eyes widened as it let out a bark, it didn't take long for her to realise that she had been saved and needed to get out of there.
Carly's feet found themselves moving as fast as possible as she ran across the beach, she had forgotten to pick up her shoes but in all fairness it didn't matter right now, plus there was always the hope that the dog could use them to track her? That was stupid. Things like that only existed in fairytales. Her feet kept hitting the sand as she ran until finally she got to the path where the dog must have come down. Carly had no idea where she was going, she didn't even care much, it was away from the vampire and that was all that mattered.
The distraction by her thoughts got the better of her and suddenly she found herself tripping over a loose rock and falling onto the path. Her head hit the floor and, just like a light being switched off, she was out cold. Her body still on the ground as she lie there unconscious.

It only took one more bark and her baring her teeth again to send the vampire running. Sitting down for a moment Alex fought with the want to chase after him and the need that she felt to go after the girl. She was actually surprised that the female had ran off, but she figured she had been pretty scared, anyone would be if they were randomly attacked by a vampire and didn’t know what to do. Of course it made Alex shake her head, if you didn’t know how to deal with vampires then you shouldn’t go out by yourself during the night.
Sighing Alex shifted back to her human form and looked around, spotting shoes on the ground she walked over to them, and then it hit her. ”How stupid can you be Alex? What if she’s human? They don’t know about shifters!” Frustrated with herself Alex picked up the shoes. ”Damn it, now I have to go after her and make sure she didn’t see anything.” Growling slightly she started down the path that the girl had taken, to pissed off with herself to even think about scenting the air to see if she could tell if the woman was human Alex just followed the foot prints the embedded the sand.
As she reached the spot where she had been sitting Alex looked around unable to see where the girl had gone. ”Crap.” She said just as she noticed a drop off in the cliff and foot prints leading up to it. Walking over to the edge she looked over and saw the girl lying at the bottom not moving. Rolling her eyes Alex started trekking down the side. ”Got to save her twice; jeez this girl is a lot of work. Though I guess this means she won’t know I was the dog.” Figuring the situation had turned out okay Alex knelt down next to the female before leaning back on her palms and waiting for her to wake up.

Carly found herself dreaming about weird things. First there was the vampire that had pushed her to the ground, except this time when she looked at him he seemed more scarier and bloodthirsty... and then there was the dog, except in this world it wasn't even a dog at all, it was a female. How was that even possible? The dream kept playing over and over in her mind and as it did, in the real world, her body kept moving around as though she was having some sort of seizure.
Suddenly she sat upright and her eyes opened, "Ouch." Her hand touched the place where she had bumped her head, the sleeve of her hoodie falling down slightly to reveal the scars on her wrist, before she turned her head to the side. Carly almost had a heart attack when she saw the girl sat next to her but got over it pretty quickly. With her hand still on her head she spoke again, "am I in heaven?" She took her hand away and looked at it, no blood, that was good. Her eyes took in the surroundings and she laughed slightly, "nope, still the same old town. Doubt there'd be pain in heaven." Carly's eyes fixed on the female again, "I saw you, in my dream. You were the one that saved me from the vampire. You were the dog. Yet you look like an angel."

When the female in front of her started twitching Alex raised her eyebrow, she had never really taking any first aid courses so she didn’t know what to do and that slightly worried her. She didn’t actually know the girl but that didn’t mean she wanted to watch her die, Alex wasn’t one to stick around when someone was dying, wasn’t something she enjoyed watching. Just when she was about to get up and walk away the woman woke up and Alex froze in spot waiting to see what she would say.
Watching her sit up her head titled to the side seeing the bump on the girls head just as her hand covered it. ”You’ll be fine.” She said lightly not really sure what else to say and considering what could of happened, she would be fine and should be glad she only had a bump on the head. When the female asked if she was in heaven Alex couldn’t help but let out a snort of laughter. ”Yeah... defiantly.” Rolling her eyes slowly Alex listened as she started to speak again.
”Mhm, if there was what would be the point of leaving the world.” Shrugging she looked around, Alex didn’t actually believe in all the heaven stuff that was going around but she wasn’t really in the mood to argue with the girl about it. ”You saw me in a dream?” Raising an eyebrow she hardly stopped herself from swearing when she heard what the dream was, it was lying time, that’s for sure. ”Sorry, honey, you go the wrong girl.” She said lightly shrugging. ”I can’t change into anything let alone a dog, I was just taking a walk when I came across you lying here. Didn’t really think it would be the best idea to leave an unconscious lady on the beach.”
”An angle?” Another snort of laughter escaped her lips. ”You really must have hit your head hard.”
