Five. Six. Seven. The number of shots she was downing seemed like they weren't going to stop. She hated life, every inch of it. Normally Jordan was never this grim, but as of lately life just sucked. You knew things were bad if on her night off she was at a bar. She hated the smell, the people, it was just big hell whole that made her depressed, reminded her too much of work...and of the fact she had carelessly given her heart away. When she wasn't downing a drink she giving the bar tenders tips both psychically and verbally. She hadn't realized she was so obnoxious but then again she did work at a bar and was almost always more vocal when she wasn't sober.
After a few minutes pasted she was feeling it. Her body started to shake slightly as she felt the animal urges, that was another thing as a shifter....it was much harder to control her animal instincts when her mind was racing a thousand miles per minute. Jordan pushed off the bar and walked to the door before and stumbled outside as fumbled through her pockets to find her cigarettes, she had been shifting like crazy lately and the last thing she needed was to ruin her clothes once more. "That asshole..." she muttered to herself as she lit her cigarette. She could see his face, and for the longest time she could see her fist racing towards it. Many nights she had prowled around his house as a wolf, biting into his tires and doing anything she could to make his life hell. It was working...so much in fact that he had gotten brave and bought a gun to chase the wolf, that he didn't know was really his ex girlfriend off. Jordan wasn't going to take anymore chances though, the last thing she needed was to get a gun shot wound through the heart...he had already done enough damage there.

Emma Joanne Marx wasn't the type of girl to take things lightly. That is why when some guy had tried raping her just moments ago she had turned into a wolf and ripped him apart. She had had enough with one bastard already abusing her sexually, she didn't need another to do it again. And that is also why, right now, she was walking down the street with part of an arm in her mouth. It was night time and with her black fur she blended in well, not being noticed until she occasionally stepped into a bit of light. Emma knew how to control her shifting and she knew how life was when she was an animal, she seemed to fit in with the other creatures and no doubt anyone that saw her would believe she was a wolf. Unless they were a shifter of course, then they'd sense she was one of them.
Emma growled lihtly as she chewed on the arm whilst walking down the street, not really caring much if anyone did see her. Life was life and she was who she was. Nothing would change that. Then a scent caught her attention. The perfect scent of someone that would no doubt be perfect themselves. Emma ran as fast as she could trying to get to the place the scent was coming from. She darted through trees and around buildings, narrowly avoiding accidents and being seen. She was in a rush to find this person and she wanted to get to them soon before they left where they were.
She darted through an alleyway and saw the bar across the road... but not the bin that was near her. Emma crashed into it and went skidding down to the pathway, landing in the light coming from a building and on her side. She didn't know much about the current situation but she knew she was hurt and the feeling of something stabbing into one of her paws was uncomfortable. Emma raised her head slightly and looked, seeing a piece of glass embedded into her paw. A loud whimper escaped her mouth as her eyes focused on the woman outside the club, the woman with the perfect scent and beautiful face.

As Jordan was putting out her cigarette she picked up another scent. Her eyes lifted slightly as she heard a crash followed by a whimper. Jordan's heart immanently was torn in two. She had always had a soft spot for animals considering she turned into one whenever she was stress or just needed to get away from her abnormally boring life. "It's ok girl." she said softly as she made her way over to her and reached out her hand so that the wolf could sniff her. Most animals seemed to be comforted by her considering it wasn't hard to pick up on her supernatural scent. She was almost respected as one of them. As Jordan made her way to the animal she bent down slowly, picked up her paw and gently pulled the glass out.
Jordan wasn't sure what the animal was going to do but there was something different about this wolf. She wondered if perhaps she might have been a shifter. As Jordan studied the animal she stroked her fur. There really wasn't a way to tell, only a slight gut feeling that she had a lot more in common with the creature before her then she thought she did.

"It's ok girl." Emma stared up at the female as she approached, her eyes watering slightly because of the pain. Through the haze of her tears she saw the person hold out her hand, it tended to happen a lot when Emma was in her wolf form, the human way of gaining an animals trust. Emma sniffed the female's hand, taking in her scent, and if she was human she would have smiled at how nice this person was. She could tell that this female wasn't a normal human, she had to be a shifter just like herself otherwise her scent wouldn't be so appealing to her.
Her eyes close as the female picked up her paw and pulled out the glass, a small whimper escaping her lips as the pain hurt her. She cried a little and cowered, even as the female began to stroke her fur. It was comforting and Emma was enjoying it but she was still there on her side with her paw and side hurting. Deep down she knew it was worse than a small bump, she could feel her side stinging a little. Perhaps she had grazed it whilst sliding along the ground? Right now Emma couldn't tell but it hurt a lot.
Her eyes opened slowly and she looked at the female, staring into her eyes. Instincts told her this female was a shifter, her eyes showed her this female was beautiful and her nose couldn't help but twitch as she kept trying to catch that wonderful scent. Something about this female made Emma feel that they were destined to have met each other. Her head gently brushed against the woman's arm before Emma began licking her hand.

As she investigated the situation Jordan realized that the wolf had a lot more damage done then she had thought. It was clear though at this point that she was beginning to coward and back away even with the assistance. "Shhh girl, its OK. I'm not going to hurt you." she said softly as she tried to calm the beast in front of her. Jordan approached her once again slowly and placed her arms around her as she gently picked her up praying to god that the wolf would not attack. Jordan knew if that was the case she would have no problem shifting but right now she was trusting her abilities to connect with nature to bail her out of a dangerous situation.
After about a fifteen minute drive Jordan was back home and lifting the wolf carefully back up to take her into her home. Jordan knew this probably seemed crazy but then again most people would have thought she was crazy considering she shifted into a wolf. After setting the wolf on the couch Jordan went to go find some things to dress the wounds and a least make the wolf feel a little more comfortable. In a matter of minutes she was back in the room with the supplies and inspecting the wolf. "This might hurt a little but it will make you feel better I promise." she said with a slight smile. Jordan dabbed a cotton ball with some alcohol before applying it to the wounds. Jordan made a slight face knowing it would sting.

"Shhh girl, its OK. I'm not going to hurt you." Emma looked at the female again, her voice making her a little calmer. There was something about this female that seemed right, something that made her think it wasn't coincidence that they met. Her tail waggled slightly as the female picked her up. Under normal circumstances she would have decided to bite, but in this case she trusted the person and she felt safe. Plus she was too wounded to do much anyway. Emma was put into a vehicle and after what seemed like hours to her, she was being picked up again and carried inside a house.
It was unusual for a wolf to be taken into a house, in fact it was also quite dangerous, but the female seemed kind and this wasn't exactly a normal situation or a normal town. Vampires were out of the coffin, so to speak, shifters were wandering around and who knew what other supernatural beings existed. Emma felt herself being placed on a couch and watched as the female went away and then came back with some supplies of some sort. Her eyes stayed fixed on the woman, watching what she was doing and hoping it would be good not bad. "This might hurt a little but it will make you feel better I promise." Emma trusted the female that had helped her, she trusted she would be safe and the small smile on the woman's face reassured her... Then something touched her wounds and her muscles tensed as she yelped and tried to move away.
Emma jumped off the couch and although weak and injured she tried her best to stay on her three paws (the other hurting when placed on the ground and thus lifted slightly). She backed away from the woman, her eyes fixed on her still as her head lowered. Emma was curious about what was going to happen and her wolf side started to take more control. Her nose twitched again and she sniffed the air before slowly and carefully walking forward and sniffing the cotton ball the woman held in her hand. Her head shook slightly at the smell of the alcohol before she looked at the woman and licked her cheek. Emma had to apologize somehow and that seemed like the best way.
Her tail wagged slightly as she lie down on her uninjured side next to the woman, exposing her injured side more clearly so that she could be helped.

Jordan wasn't exactly use to a wolf reacting in such a way that this one was. There was almost a human quality to her. Her hand gently dapped the alcohol her wound. She looked into her eyes hoping that she wasn't hurting her too badly. Jordan didn't say much as she tried to process everything that had happened. She couldn't shake that Jordan had encountered more then just the common wolf. After some bit of silents Jordan finally looked into the wolf's eyes and gave a slight smile. "Well just give it some time to heal but you should be good to go. "She paused slightly as she studied the wolf.
"You understand me don't you?" she said as she looked at Emma. "I think you and I have a lot more in common if that is the case. If you are more then just a wolf feel free to change back...you might be able to heal a little faster." Jordan laid some clothes out by the couch where the wolf was laying before turning to go into the kitchen and fix a few things for the two of them. She was slightly nervous about what was going to happen next.

Emma had whimpered slightly as Jordan dabbed her wounds, it hurt but she was fighting through it. She needed to because she didn't want to hurt this person. Then she found the female looking into her eyes and telling her to give it time to heal. Emma had nodded slightly but the next comments made her stare at the female again, she knew what Emma was and she wanted her to change back. Her eyes watched the female put some clothes by the couch before walking into the kitchen. This was all new to Emma, no one had known about her before or helped her when she had been in an accident, she'd always turned human back at home and it was a little strange to find herself being offered some of this woman's clothes, not that she was complaining.
She got to her feet and put one paw in front of the other as she made her way to the clothes, she stuck her nose deep into them and sniffed to make sure they were okay, only getting the scent of the female. Her eyes closed slightly as she rubbed her head against them before slowly turning human, her body completely naked as the shift finished. Emma picked up the clothes and put them on quickly before looking into a small mirror in the corner of the room; she looked good in these clothes, they were smart yet sexy at the same time. There was a lot Emma had to be thankful for.
Smiling slightly she walked into the kitchen where the female was, her eyes finally seeing the true beauty of her rescuer. "Hello? Thank you for doing this. It's most gracious of you." A smile appeared on her lips as she stepped a little closer.

Jordan heard a voice and immediately her eyes lifted to see the gorgeous blonde woman before her. "I guess I was right." she said with a slight smirk as her felt herself blushing slightly. After catching herself staring for a little too long Jordan shook her head and poured Emma a glass of Milk before handing it to her. "I'm sorry, this is all I had...I haven't been able to go shopping yet. I hope you don't mind. If you need anything I can always try to run to the store and see if they are opened."
Jordan really could not believe that she had been right about the wolf being a shifter. "You know I don't really met many other shifters...in fact your the first person that knows that I am one besides myself." she said with a slight shrug. "I hope that you are feeling better though. Really if you need anything please let me know." Jordan placed a few cookies on tray as she placed them on the dining room table, sitting her own glass of milk down beside them. "You are more then welcomed to join me." she said patting the seat beside her with a smile.

Emma watched the female look at her, "I guess I was right." A smile crossing her face as the woman smirked and blushed a little. The way the female looked at that moment was cute and Emma couldn't help but blush herself as she thought about a few things. They both seemed to stare at each other before the woman finally shook her head and handed Emma a glass of milk, "I'm sorry, this is all I had...I haven't been able to go shopping yet. I hope you don't mind. If you need anything I can always try to run to the store and see if they are opened." Emma shook her head, the milk was fine for her, she liked milk.
"You know I don't really met many other shifters...in fact your the first person that knows that I am one besides myself." Emma looked at her as she took a sip of her milk, "I hope that you are feeling better though. Really if you need anything please let me know." She gave a nod and a quick smile as she thought about whether or not turning human had been a good idea. Her eyes watched as the female placed a tray of cookies on the table and invited her to join. Emma obeyed and sat next to the female, her eyes exploring the room. "Nice place you have." Emma moved her hand slightly and as she did so, it brushed against the woman's. Emma didn't notice.

Jordan smiled slightly as she gazed into Emmas eyes. She only managed to whisper thanks before she felt her touch, she didn't move her hand instead she just looked at her and smiled a little wider. "Are you feeling ok?" she said focusing her attention back on Emma's blue eyes. Jordan had a feeling that she wasn't doing enough, and of course that feeling was very often but for the first time in a long time she felt compelled to pour out her heart to Emma. Jordan drew her hand back slightly as she took another sip of her milk, her eyes never once left Emma's.
"I haven't exactly had a night like you but I have been hurt in a more emotional sense." she said with a slight sigh."I'm a little glad that I stumbled upon you. I know this might sound strange and all but your the best thing that has happened to me in a while. I feel different when I'm around you." she smiled.Part of her wanted to vomit at her words. It sounded so cliche and corny. She was sure she sounded like a total freak but part of her didn't think Emma would mind. "I'm Jordan by the way."

Emma looked back at the female and noticed her smiling, she couldn't help but smile herself, it always made her happy when people smiled, but there was something about this female that made her even happier than usual. Like she wanted this person to always be happy. "Are you feeling ok?" Emma nodded as she stared into the female's eyes, her own turning from the shade of blue her wolf had to her human shade of green, not that she ever noticed. The female took a sip of her milk and for some reason Emma let out a little giggle, her cheeks blushing slightly as she covered her mouth with her hands.
"I haven't exactly had a night like you but I have been hurt in a more emotional sense. I'm a little glad that I stumbled upon you. I know this might sound strange and all but your the best thing that has happened to me in a while. I feel different when I'm around you." Emma's head tilted a little as the female spoke, her eyes not once leaving hers. It was a little strange that this female was being open but it also felt right, like it was natural. Emma liked it.
One of her hands reached up and stroked the female's cheek after she said her name was Jordan, Emma was too in awe to even speak. This female, her saviour, seemed more than just someone that had rescued a stray wolf. Emma had known that when she first caught her scent but now it was crystal clear, this was destiny. She had imprinted on this female. Her other hand placed itself on the female's other cheek so that both hands were now cupping Jordan's face... And then she kissed her. Emma just leaned in and kissed Jordan as passionately as she could, she didn't really care right now. It felt like love. As Emma kissed the lips of this beautiful woman she brought her body closer to hers, only pausing for one moment to say, "i'm Emma." Once the words were out she went back to kissing the female, parting Jordan's lips slightly with her tongue.

It was then that Jordan felt the kiss. She couldn't help but pull Emma a little closer. She had no objection in this activity at all, in fact she was highly enjoying this. It felt natural as their two lips met. She wondered why she had been messing around with guys to begin with in the first place. She let out a slight gasp as the woman introduced herself as Emma. Jordan pulled her even closer and she smiled into each kiss. "It's very nice to meet you..." she said between breaths.
Never on a night like this did she think she would be meeting someone like Emma. She didn't know that the wolf she gave aid to would turn out to be a shifter just like herself, much less be kissing her only minutes after they introduced themselves. Jordan could tell this was the start of something great. As much as she didn't want to be giving her heart away, Jordan knew that she couldn't help it. Everything about this moment felt so natural. She would not trade this day for anything in the world. it had been a while since she had felt that much love.
