Laura shook her head as she walked through the forest, her pervious conversation with her father running through her head. ”Oh sure daddy-o, I’ll go save your damsel is distress when you should be.” Letting out a sigh she continued following the trail of scents deeper into the forest. The only thing she knew about the situation was that Maggie (who her father apparently loved, go figure) had decided to try and attack an apparent human in the forest. This turned out to be near a packs territory. ”Never a dull moment.” Letting out a laugh Laura let her trail of thoughts keep going.
She wasn’t sure what had possessed Maggie to think attacking a “human” near pack grounds on a full moon was exactly smart. But then again, it didn’t happen in the packs territory so they should have gotten involved. Shaking her head Laura rolled her eyes. ”Should never have said I would do this.” If she could glare at herself right now would be when she would start. ”But oh no, Laura has to be nice and do what he family asks of her. And here I thought that when I met my father we would sit down and talk about what we’ve been doing over the years. Ha-ha, yeah right. Instead I get sent to save his girlfriend.”
When the noises of a fight hit her ears Laura stopped, taking a little time to analyze the situation before a wicked grin spread across her lips. She couldn’t deny that she was going to enjoy what she was about to do, very much. Even if she didn’t like Maggie all that much herself, she would do anything that would help those she loved or what were loved by people she did. And today, that included Maggie. Not to mention that she was going to have a lovely fight with some wolves. ”Well, let’s show them, shall we Laura?”
Clearing her mind Laura started walking forward, her eyes sliding shut and her mouth moving to form the words of the spell. The whole way over here she had thought about what exactly she wanted to do and this spell was one of the first things that popped into her mind. Of course it was just to contain them all into one area, but still, she always loved playing with fire, no matter what her mom said. Her eyes opened just enough to take in the scene she was walking into, it appeared that one of the wolves and the human had taken off. Leaving Maggie and one other wolf. ”Crap; he has her by the throat...” Narrowing her eyes she assessed the situation, it was going to take a little more effort than she had originally thought.
Taking one more deep breath she picked up her chant, raising her arms slowly as she walked into the clearing. It was play time. Slowly she got louder, no doubt announcing her presence. Finally, when she got as loud as she could without yelling, a circle of fire spread around them, enclosing them so no one could leave. Letting her arms fall to her side Laura walked slightly closer a grin still placed on her lips. ”Now now doggy, don’t you know you should be careful who you use as a chew toy? Some of them have friends.” Her tone was no less then mocking and as she looked the wolf over she couldn’t help but lift an eyebrow. She had no doubt she could take him and letting out a throaty laughter Laura let her eyes slide back to the where the wolf’s teeth were around Maggie’s neck. ”Now where do you want it?”She asked smiling at him well she formed a ball of flames in her hand.
She could do other things to, but she had always found she enjoyed using fire the most. Hopefully her entrance would have been enough to get him to focus on her, but if not, she just got to have some more fun. And that was fine by her, she had no problem burning off some of the weres fur.

It was the smell of vampire, female, and blood that had kept him in trouble this time around. He hadn't acted on what he wanted to because of those scents, tastes, and textures rolling aroun din his head. It had also masked the approach of the wolf that was sneaking up as Emile and Buffy were retreating to the Den. His teeth clenched fractionally again, thinking the wolf was here to steal his prey. The sharp points pressed harder and then, with soft pops, broke the skin of the vampire gripped within his jaws. The taste of blood flooded his mouth, and it was too late for him to escape even had he wanted to. There were flames sprouting in a circle around him.
He inhaled again and repressed a sneeze when he smelled the twisting of magic in with this wolf, something he hadn't ever encountered before, not together as they were now. Not willing to waste the blood that was about to flow past his teeth, he moved his tongue, lapping along both sides of his mouth and at the same time, along the vampire's neck, pulling in the excess moisture of the vampire blood further into his mouth and down his throat. Even when the first drops went into him his concentration spiked, his senses narrowed, and he could feel boundless energy flow into his body.
He didn't like the sensation. He hated feeling like he had to rely on any strength held without his own body or his pack's. it wasn't right, but there were flames all around and a twisted human was threatening not to take his prey for it's own but just take it. And she had called him names. She obviously did not know who she was speaking to. Mentally he scattered those thoughts, they were nothing like his own thoughts. The blood must be affecting him in ways other than that which would help him. Arrogance was not his most fatal flaw. If anything it was his third. He just hoped that arrogance wouldn't kill him tonight.
His eyes did not shift, there was no need for them to, neither did his body, if he moved his body much, there would be more than a necklace of punctures for the vampire beneath him. His attention did, however focus more on the witch more than the vampire at the moment though, and he didn't like what he was smelling. His nose caught the power that she was exerting to keep the fire around them, but what he was most concerned by was the ease in which she was doing it. She had plenty more where that came from, and he really didn't like the situation he was in. If only the vampire had submitted, he could have let go and been done with it, and back at the den with the rest of his pack. Instead he was here, in a second hostage situation lapping up more and more of undead blood. What a night.

Maggie closed her eyes as she waited for her fate. Vis gripped her neck tightly like a prized catch as her body began to go numb. The pain was unbearable but there wasn't anything Maggie could really do but sit and wait for her bones to heal. If she even had that long. Her eyes shot opened as she caught scent of another were, but this one was different. Although her vision was getting blurry and her temporary necklace kept her from seeing the person approaching, she could sense the hint of magic. A smell she hadn't smelt since her encounter with Jenn. Confusion was all she could feel now. She had no idea why this witch was demanding that Vis let go of her. Maggie was certain that she had never met this girl in her life, none the less was thankful for the threats and attempts at trying to get the wolf to let go of her.
Then the fire came and vampire instantly tensed. If there was one thing to be scared of it was fire....especially fire so close to her and the wolf. Maggie screamed in pain as she felt his fangs pierce her skin. This wasn't good at all. She was aware of what her blood could do to those that drank it. His tongue licked up the blood that was now gushing forth from her, the wound slowly healing along with the rest of her wounds. Never in a million years did she think a wolf would be drinking the blood from her neck. This was certainly a new experience. [/blockquote][/size]

Laura watched, her eyes narrowing as the wolf bit harder and his teeth went through Maggie’s skin. She knew the affects vampire blood had on all of the other supernatural species and she was quite surprised that this were was going through the trouble to get it. ”They can never make it easy.” Rolling her eyes Laura stood and waiting, still keeping the fire circle going and the flaming ball in her palm. She knew very well that if she threw the ball at him the force would take Maggie with him, which would be slightly counterproductive since she was trying to save Maggie at this time.
Seeing that the werewolf wasn’t going to be smart enough to just let her go, Laura let a grin spread across her lips. This was going to turn out to be a very amusing time. Letting the fire ball dissolve from her hand she let her eyes slide almost fully shut. This wasn’t a spell she had used in a while, but she was sure it was going to be enough to get the wolf to let Maggie go. She was quite sure that the wolf didn’t understand that she was here to save Maggie and she wasn’t going to let the fire circle down until she was sure they would be able to get away.
Then again, wolves on a full moon didn’t really think like they did when they were in human form, the animal kind of took over. Lifting her hand she turned her focus to Maggie, making her skin taste like wolfsbane was going to take some concentration but Laura knew she could do it. Starting the chant she kept her eyes closed and her words a mere whisper. All she could do was hope that the taste of wolfsbane on Maggie's skin and in her blood would be enough to get the were to let her neck go so she could let down the fire wall enough for her to escape. Of course she probably could have actually madewolfsbane appear on her skin, but Laura had no intentions of actually harming, let alone killing the wolf. If he attacked her or didn’t let Maggie go, well then that would most likely be a different story.
Finishing the spell Laura opened her eyes all the way and grinned at him. "I hope you like the treat."

Corpse, dead blood, soil, and now something else, something worse than all the other three combined . He'd never tasted the foul thing that . Maggie had now become the utmost disgusting tasting that Visceral had ever had in his mouth. It reminded him of wolfsbane, even though he had never tasted it before. When he inhaled he could only smell the vampire under him, and a tickle of magic surrounding their heads, nothing out of place like the taste that was in his mouth.
Retracting his tongue as far as he could, a low rumble started to issue from deep within his chest. It was a growl that rumbled not only up his body, through his teeth and into Maggie, but It continued from the both of them to the air around them, past the witch, and through even the fire. It was a warning to the instinctual part of the half were. The warning should be clear. Back the hell off, or the abysmal tasting corpse gets it. If she would only back off some he'd be able to get the thing out of his mouth, he wasn't about to let the witch charbroil him as he started home.

Maggie rolled her eyes. If she was going to die already the wolf should just do it. Hanging from his mouth wasn't exactly the most comfortable of situations. Maggie gave a frustrated sigh at this point not knowing whether to laugh or cry. Of course she would be attacked by a fairly stubborn alpha that wasn't just going to drop his prey and walk away. She tried to figure out what the witch was doing now. "Let me go and I'll give you a doggy treat." she growled with a slight grunt. She was in a lot of pain and she needed human blood and fast if she wanted to fully recover from the damage that had been done to her.
Maggie tried to move slightly, of course that was a bad idea seeing she caused his teeth to sink into her neck more. "You got your human you stupid mutt...there is no reason for this." Maggie wanted him to drop her. She was tired of hanging there and she was also tired of having to smell his stink. It would probably take weeks to get the smell off of her. Maggie knew at this point getting bitchy with him probably wasn't the best idea. She wanted the pain to stop though. Another growl bubbled up from her chest...if she ever got out of this she would make sure she had wolfsbain on her at all times. If she was able to get her hands on any at least.

Laura put one of her hands on her side and glared at the wolf as he appeared to not care about the taste of the vampire in his mouth. ”Stupid mutt.” She murmured, maybe she would have to give him some real wolfsbane. After all, she did always carry it with her. And she had to admit this wolf had to be one of the most stupid that she had ever run into. Most of them would have been smart enough to see that they weren’t going to win and she wasn’t going to back down. ”This is what I get for helping out my dad, a dumb pile of bones who thinks he can win everything.” Rolling her eyes she continued her train of thought. ”And I thought vampires were full of themselves.”
Taking a few steps forward Laura tilted her head slightly to the right. ”Well mister wolfy, do you want me to really bring the pain? Or are you smart enough to realize that you’re going to lose very badly in this fight and just let her go? If I were you, I’d go with the second one.” Her face held grim determination, she wasn’t about to let this stubborn mutt ruin her relationship with Luke. She was sure if Maggie died it wouldn’t be much of a relationship at all. Not that Laura had anything against werewolves; it was just this one that was getting on her nerves.
Knowing that the were probably wasn’t going to let Maggie go Laura didn’t bother waiting for a reply, well whatever a were could do as a reply. Waving her fingers through the air she kicked up a wind storm, high gusts of wind swirling around them inside the fire circle. She knew she couldn’t keep so many things going for to long or she would get a nose bleed so she was by far ready to end this encounter.
When he let out a growl Laura merely smiled, did he really think that growling at her was going to scare her away? He’d have to let go of Maggie to actually make a move for her and she was quite sure he was too stubborn to do such a thing. Walking around slightly Laura focused her mind on the three things she was doing well trying to figure out a way to get the mutt to let Maggie go. A savage grin spread across her lips as an idea came to her. Dropping the wind storm Laura turned around to look at them. ”I suggest you drop her before I do what I’m thinking of.” She almost felt like letting out an evil laugh but she decided against it, the smirk that was still placed on her face was probably enough to tell him that she wasn’t kidding.
