There is a conspiracy theory that has inspired many famous works of Science-Fiction. This is the Hollow Earth Theory--a belief that our world is, in fact, hollow and that under the surface is another life-supporting world. This Ring of fire is an original site, set a century into the future where this inner society is a flourishing utopia, contrasting the dystopic surface world. There has been order and peace until leaders in The Ruling Circle have decided to begin moving Hollow Earth civilians to the surface world. Now a mysterious plague is spreading throughout both societies--maddening its victims with a fever and giving them an insatiable hunger for flesh. The military is racing for a cure, Hollow Earth people are trying to keep their society pure, the Surface World are adjusting to these "invaders," and the government is just corrupt enough to continue relocating civilians.
