"Ms. Williams?" her eyes lifted slightly as she pulled her hands closer to herself before rising from her seat. She could sense the pain in the building, feel those that didn't seem like they had enough strength to make it and those that were drawling their last breath. Dragging her feet to the front desk she licked her lips and lowered her eyes to the small piece of paper that was now being slipped through the glass. "I recommend that you get this filled as soon as possible and next time don't hesitate to come to us hun. You look like you could use some sleep too." Was it the bags under her eyes that gave it away? Perhaps, but Kris did her best to smile and nod. A soft thank you left her lips as she slipped the paper into her pocket, trying to avoid the least amount of pain. If only the women knew what kinds of pain she experienced each time she closed her eyes. Kris was all too familiar with her curse now. More then anything she wanted to sleep. Her infected cuts didn't even seem to come close to the pain that awaited her the minute she drifted off.
It had been almost about a week since her encounter with Kyon. Each day that went by only seemed to be harder. It was hard to avoid sleep because she caught herself drifting off often. She would force herself to wake from her sleep. The cramps, the aches, the burning seemed unbearable. It was enough to keep her miserable and running off little to no sleep. Her visit to the hospital had been unusual for her. Kris never liked going in the first place because how painful it was to even step foot into one. As an Empath she was like a sponge soaking up all the negativity and suffering that was connected. It physically made her sick. Luckily the doctors visit had been short and the lecture had been brief. All that mattered now was staying awake and alert. Trying hard to avoid even more pain. Why had she gotten into a fight with a witch? Well she learned her lesson now. For each time she closed her eyes and suffered all she could dream about was her. Kyon never left her mind. That cruel smile even followed her into her sleep.
When her doctor's visit was finished, Kris found herself sitting over two cups of coffee. She was sure this week especially she had kept Starbucks in business...or at least was buying a great deal of supplies for them. In the back of her mind she knew she wasn't goings to last like this. Part of her wanted to track down the witch and beg for the curse to be lifted. Unknown to her the curse would only remain for a few more days. The week was almost over and luckily Kyon had only been able to place it on her for a week. Finishing her coffee, she pulled her second one towards her lips. She wanted this hell to be over.

"let me out! come on! I haven't done a damn thing wrong!!" |
[/i] the female yelled kicking the inside of her metal tomb. they were going down a road somewhere and she was stuck in the truck. this is what she got for trying to help a group of vampires. "I hate you! I hate you all!"[/i] she screamed again thrashing around inside the trunk. they went over a bump and she bounced up only to hit her head on the ceiling. everything went fuzzy before she completely blacked out. . the taste of blood finally brought the female too. licking her lips, she looked around the trunk and realized they had finally stopped moving. shit. struggling a little bit more, she tried to get her hands loose but ended up only rubbing them raw. the trunk opened and she could only see outlines of the men. her radar was freaking out by the vampires but she ignored it. they grabbed her and threw her on the ground where she slid a bit. guess they weren't being so nice now. her cheek stung a bit as she tried to push herself up, but her hands were tied behind her back. a foot connected with her middle and the air rushed out of her. "stupid bitch. you lied to us." the taller vampire sneered. "and you didn't give me enough money!" that comment earned her another kick in the stomach. "next time we won't be so nice." and with that the vampires got back in their car and drove away, leaving her in the middle of the street bound by rope. . shifting a bit, the female strained to reach the hunting knife that was in her back pants pocket. it was a small knife and she had completely forgotten about it, but when the vampire threw her it poked her in the rear. after a few moments of squirming like a worm, she finally reached the knife. it was only seconds before she was free from their hold. pushing up to her feet, the female winced. god her ribs hurt. a nice hot bath would help with this if she could ever get home. sighing, the female realized she must look like shit because people were staring. scanning the area, she saw a starbucks and wandered inside. "um excuse me where is your bathroom? I'll buy a coffee after I clean up."[/i] the female smiled softly to the lady behind the counter. the cashier's eyes were wide as she pointed around the corner. not even saying a second word the female disappeared in the bathroom to clean up. She felt like she was already in a dream, despite the fact that she was wide awake. Her whole body seemed to buzz and vibrate with the restlessness that she had grown accustom to these past few days. Whenever she closed her eyes and attempted to get a few seconds of sleep the pain would start. Her body would twist and flare up with so much stabbing pain that it felt like she was being burnt alive. All this over a cigarette. It seemed ridiculous but Kyron was out of her mind and she was sure that she would have been cursed by her regardless if she had offered her one or not. As her fingers wrapped around her second cup she glanced up in time to connect the sudden amounts of pain and anger with a bruised and beat up girl that soon bolted for the bathroom.
Kris didn't ask to see it but she was able sense that vampires had been involved with this. It was like the girls past filled of great emotion and hurt flashed right before her eyes. Kris gasped slightly as she came out of her trance and looked down at her coffee. She was extremely tired, so she figured that she was like some kind of Physic sponge, she couldn't protect her thoughts from others emotions and past like she used too. There really wasn't anything she could do but Kris decided that maybe it would be best to try to at least ease this women's pain. It would at least take her mind off of sleeping. After making her way to the bathroom she pushed the door open gently and stepped inside. "I couldn't help but notice you were recently kidnapped by vampires." she said softly gazing up at the girl. She could feel the strong energy radiating off of the women which told her she wasn't human. She seemed more like Kris then Kris had thought at first. Kris knew she probably didn't have to explain herself after her comment. It was clear now that Kris was Psychic.
"I have some extra gauze if you need it, I got into a witch fight myself." she said pulling some out from her pocket. She was trying to make humor of the moment but she wasn't sure how well it would be received. After all it was very clear that Kris was extremely tired. She supposed this was partly why she was a little more opened and talkative. There was no filter there anymore. ooc: sorry it sucks but i will give you a better one next time

"uh thank you. I appreciate it. your a psychic I take it?" |
[/i] the female noted accepting the gauze. "and as for the vampires they hate me. almost everyone does. mostly because they can't control me like they think they can."[/i] the girl laughed bitterly as she continued cleaning her wounds. there was a bite mark on her wrist and she hissed as she ran it under water. "stupid vampires."[/i] she muttered to herself. . as she was wrapping up her wrist the female extended her hand. "I'm mercy. mercy samson. and sorry for the rambling. I'm a radar."[/i] she stated giving the girl a small smile. after she made sure every wound was cleaned and bandaged, the female climbed off the sink and tested her limbs. everything seemed to be in working order. mercy sighed and pulled her hair back in a ponytail. if this chick was a psychic, wonder what kind of psychic she was. the female headed for the door, but then stopped for a second and looked back at the psychic girl. "I noticed you were sitting alone. could I um join you?"[/i] mercy muttered softly blushing a little bit embarrassed. truth was she didn't want to admit that she was scared to go back home just yet. sure she dealt with vampires and werewolves all the time, but just recently they have been getting worse and worse. . she sighed and leaned against the door to the bathroom. thankfully there wasn't anyone else in there because this would be an awkward conversation. her radar flared as more people came into the restaurant. these ones weren't human and for a moment she panicked. what if it was those vampires again. their dots were different than the others so hopefully they weren't a group she knew. carefully she opened the bathroom door and peered out, to her luck the group wasn't one she had seen before. the female relaxed a bit. god she was so high strung. she was wound tighter than a top and she couldn't help it. apparently word had gotten out and now even more people were looking for her. "just great" mercy muttered sighing. [/div][/td] [td][atrb=width,140] words ,

Kris gave a hesitate smile as she listened to Mercy. Personally Kris wouldn't know what to do if she was face to face with vampires. The only advantage to them was they couldn't curse you. Right about now being attacked by vampires seemed a little more comforting then having to deal with her sleepless days."I'm mercy. mercy samson. and sorry for the rambling. I'm a radar." "I'm Kris. I'm an Empath and its not a problem at all either." Kris often felt like a freak because of her abilites. Finding someone that knew what it was like was a relief. Mercy asked if she could join her and Kris gave a nod. "Um, sure. I apologize if I'm a little out of it I haven't slept in days....I wish I could but I can't." Kris lead her back to her small table before sitting back down and taking a few sips of her coffee.
"I was cursed by a witch. Got into a little bit of a show down and now every time I sleep I feel an unbearable pain. So I understand what right now might feel like. Being beaten up and all. She gave me these cuts as well as the curse." she said looking down at her hands that were now bandaged up. "I think I would much rather be beaten up by vampires. At least you get sleep." she smirked trying to lighten the mood a little. Unknown to her of course her curse would wear off in the next few days. KRis knew in the back of her mind that she couldn't avoid sleeping forever, but she could avoid it long enough."So were they trying to get information out of you or something?"

ALONE IN YOUR THOUGHTS HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE STOOD WHERE YOU - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - stand | [atrb=width,240] . the female winced slightly as she settled into the booth. an empath? well that's a relief. someone else with some kind of ability. that's goo though because she didn't feel so much like a freak now. it wasn't every day she met a fellow psychic but when she did mercy always cherished every moment of it. "well that's cool. I bet it sucks being an empath though because you are always feeling what everyone else is feeling. how do you know what your feeling?" |
[/i] mercy asked curiously as she waved one of the workers over and ordered a cup of tea. the guy looked at her oddly but then went off to get it. "sorry about the bluntness of my question. I was just curious is all. I've known a couple empaths in my life time."[/i] mercy leaned back in the booth sighing. the group of vampires that had come in early were just that. a group of vampires. nothing to cause panic over. . god she was so edgy lately. everything seemed to make her jump and freak out. "you got at it with a witch? damn!"[/i] mercy was impressed. from what she has seen and heard about witches she was very surprised that lack of sleep was all this girl had come away with. her parents used to use witches all the time to clean up messes after kills and the witches loved it. mercy couldn't help but laugh at her comment about vampires over witches. "trust me I'd rather take the witches sometimes. these vampires can be very brutal at times.[/i] mercy laughed and paid the man money when he handed her the cup of tea. taking a sip, her shoulders relaxed almost instantly. mmm god she loved tea. nothing like a nice cup of warm tea to ease your pain after getting your ass kicked. after a few sips of her tea, the female set it back down on the table and leaned back in the booth. . "why were they after me? the same reason everyone else is. because I am a radar, that's why. I am very useful to those that want to hunt others. right now I can tell you there are three werewolves, four vampires, two humans, and a faerie. that's what I can do and a lot of hunters come to me and with the right price I'll help them find a target but usually I like to be left alone. just recently more and more vampires have been coming after me and I refuse to help them. so they have been trying more forceful tactics on me. god they are getting harsh lately."[/i] mercy muttered rubbing her wrist were the chew marks were from the vampires. they hadn't been trying to kill her, but they wanted her to feel pain and that was not fun by any means. "well that's cool. I bet it sucks being an empath though because you are always feeling what everyone else is feeling. how do you know what your feeling? Sorry about the bluntness of my question. I was just curious is all. I've known a couple empaths in my life time." It certainly was a question that was hard to answer. Kris was never sure of her own feelings at times but lately she had been putting up a lot of her guard and suppressing her gift for the sake of sanity. Since her showdown with the witch things had been rough, and her lack of sleep had completely thrown everything. "Well, its hard a times but I have been trying to live a normal life and ignore my gift.... suppress it enough that I can breathe and not feel the pains of the world. It was working really well until that witch came along." she sighed bring the cup of coffee to her lips.
"you got at it with a witch? damn! Trust me I'd rather take the witches sometimes. these vampires can be very brutal at times." Kris gave a slight smile. It really did seem impressive and she knew that it could have been a lot worse. Part of her was scared about that though. Did this mean that there was more in store for her and the lack of sleep was just the beginning? Kris honestly didn't want to think about that.
"why were they after me? the same reason everyone else is. because I am a radar, that's why. I am very useful to those that want to hunt others. right now I can tell you there are three werewolves, four vampires, two humans, and a faerie. that's what I can do and a lot of hunters come to me and with the right price I'll help them find a target but usually I like to be left alone. just recently more and more vampires have been coming after me and I refuse to help them. so they have been trying more forceful tactics on me. god they are getting harsh lately."
Kris's eyes grew wide slightly. "Wow...I just want to forget about my gifts but I assume that if I was in your shoes I really couldn't with all those threats. That must be a real pain. It probably keeps you well off though. You better be charging good money." she gave a slight laugh. Kris couldn't picture herself being targeted by the supernatural community to provide information for them. She would honestly find that rather annoying. "And I thought that I had it rough...."
