Tinsley needed to clear her mind, which often seemed like a loosing battle due to being a telepath, but she craved to have some fresh air. Walking around the block and heading back inside of her apartment building, just wasn't going to cut it this time. Even though it was a safe option, given all that had transpired as of late; to be honest. So, a nice and silent waltz around town is what she had in her mind; some normality. Even so, Tinsley couldn't help but feel a little selfish and sighed aloud before heading out of her apartment, now shuffling into the elevator. Soon, her critical way of thinking about herself vanished, due to figuring that one night to herself is ok. Tinsley supposed that a little downtime for everyone that she knew, would be a good and healthy thing. Her eyebrow twitched whenever hearing a collection of thoughts soak into her brain, all on the same exact subject; creepy. Though, understandable when the subject rested on the Masquerade ball. Some felt lucky to be alive and others were just freaked out about vampires, more so then ever. It started out as a fun and enchanting evening, before it quickly morphed into a disaster.
It felt like she would be the only one thinking about heading out tonight, but she hoped that she wouldn't be entirely alone. Tinsley chuckled, thinking that her assessment of things didn't make sense, but she knew better. True, she wanted to be alone, but liked the idea of having other people around. That felt safe, like she wasn't the last being on the planet. Whenever she got into her car, Tinsley finally headed out and went into a section further downtown within Jamerson Falls. Once Tinsley managed to find a parking space, she immediately parked her car and hopped out before making her way onto the sidewalk. For the current moment, Tinsley busied herself with window shopping and eyed the many displays, of which had lured many into their stores. Fancy dresses, low prices; jewelry with high prices. You can't have it all. The shoes? Forget it. Arm and a leg. Though, it did give the blond some ideas about what to save up for and that was nice, she continued to walk down the long sidewalk before her. That is, until walking into something "BIG," such as a hectic conversation and racing thoughts.Oh, god! We're in big trouble. What are we gonna do? Maybe-. We can just tell them that-.
The feminine thoughts spilled out into words. "Let's just go back, Nickolas. They'll understand we're innocent. You're the vampire here and-!" The man spoke instantly, "If you don't shut up, right now-!" Interrupted by an apology from the woman, "I-. I didn't mean it! I'm sorry. I'm just scared. How could they think we're dealing V?!" The man yet again replied, "I don't know alright? Gotta wait this Sh*t out. When I find out who did this, they're dead. Got it?" Once the vampire had snapped out from his rage, he turned his sights onto her. Tinsley seized up and at a bad moment when he sped up, grabbed her shoulders before shoving to pin her against a wall. "Who the F*^K sent you? She should probably speak, but she couldn't. Everything happened to fast, and there seemed to be another voice at the scene.

Valerius caught up with his query, a vampire and his human who were peddling his blood like some common street drug. Despicable Valerius thought, the blood is sacred. Any use of the blood other than for procreation is blasphemy. The so many young vampires of today treated their sacred blood as some common street garbage to be peddled for a quick buck. How disgusting of them Valerius thought. If they would treat their blood like so much garbage then that was how Valerius was going to treat them.
Valerius planned to kill the offending vampire's human for this trespass against all vampires everywhere. Then he was going to silver the vampire in and lock him in an empty refrigerator with her body. He then would bury the refrigerator in the nearest garbage dump for the next hundred years. That should teach the vampire a lesson about dealing his blood to humans.
As Valerius entered the exposed alley where his prey was carrying on, rather loudly, about their situation, he realized they were not alone. Another human had... no wait not human, could it be? Another one here in this backwater city in New Jersey? Now that seemed impossible, but her scent was undeniable. "Tisk, Tisk child. No one sent her, it is I who is here to meet out justice to the likes of you."
In the blink of an eye, Valerius had moved and seized the vampire Nickolas by the throat. "Unhand. Her. Now.", Valerius said in slow, deliberate words. Once the vampire complied and let go of the girl, Valerius lifted him off of his feet by his throat. Nickolas' human tried to run but in another blur of motion Valerius carried Nickolas over, still by the throat, and seized the girl by the arm.
Valerius turned back to the young blond girl, "Sorry you had to witness this my dear, but these two are criminals I have to deal with. Also my apologies for him laying his hands on you." It was at this moment the vampire Valerius had by the throat decided to strike him hard in the face. He was going to have pay for that Valerius thought.
Valerius increased the pressure on his grip around the vampires throat until he heard a crack. Valerius then dropped the man's limp form to the ground. He would heal soon enough Valerius thought. "I would suggest you never do that again, young Nickolas." Valerius turned to meet the terrified gaze of the young woman whose arm he still gripped. Valerius allowed his mind to clear as he drew her mind into his, "Young woman, do not move a single muscle until I give you permission. Do you understand?" She answered a soft yes, and continuing with the glamour Valerius asked her, "What is your name my dear?" She answered Lindsey. "Good Lindsey, stay put until I say otherwise."
Valerius walked back over to the blond, "Forgive me my duties, bringing criminals to justice is my job. But where are my manners? My name is Erastus Valerius Calidus, but you may call me Valerius." He said his name while giving a slight bow. "May I ask the lady hers?" Hopefully she would answer quickly as Nickolas was probably going to heal enough to move soon.

To her surprise and feelings of shock, she didn't imagine another voice that had arrived on scene; it was real. Tinsley silently gulped and blinked toward how things blurred out of focus, the stranger had a hand to the man's throat. He claimed no one had sent her and that he was there to deal out justice, he even asked for him to release what he had grabbed. Tinsley still felt a little on edge, even when being let go but that's probably to be expected from anyone, especially in a life and death situation. Tinsley gently rubbed her shoulders, keeping a mental reminder of how strong vampires could actually be. No wonder people were frightened, and it wasn't just that; an air of intimidation. The unknown. Tinsley shook her forehead and tried to focus, the best that she could and glanced toward the human that had tried to run. She was of course stopped and placed into some kind of trance, but before that had happened to her, Tinsley had gotten a flash of images. Tinsley rubbed her temples and blinked when instantly hearing a name of the girl, her name was Lindsey.
Eventually, the stranger that had helped persuaded Nicholas to let her go, had introduced himself as Erastus Valerius Calidus. Although, she could call him Valerius for short, and that was good enough for her; it would help. Whenever Tinsley was asked for her name, she didn't respond right away. Her tone of speech flowed into another line of response, using what she had previously seen via Lindsey. "I-. Well, I-. Don't think they're guilty." It was probably just in time as Nicholas had literally pulled himself together, bared his fangs and was just about to try and attack again. Though, his anger was kept at bay due to curiosity and due to seeing Lindsey. "They work in um-. A rather large place." Hinting that they may be framed. Of course, since they were all practically strangers, she had to protect herself from being weird looking. Even with that in mind, it didn't stop Nicholas from outburst a remark,"How the hell do you know that? I've never even seen you!" Oh. Oh, boy. "I just know things." Tinsley hoped that would be at least enough to create what she wanted, just an average being trying to keep their head down.
Tinsley really, really, really didn't want to drop her name but it felt like she didn't have much of a choice. She wanted to be trusted and for that it appeared you always had to pay a price, or give away something. "Valerius? MY name is Tinsley. What exactly is your proof, they've dealt V?" The laws and ways of vampires were equally confusing, as with werewolves. Did it ever end? Of course, she couldn't say that she knew how it worked for vampires all to much, except for what she was getting in the moment. "Do you think you could snap Lindsey out of it?" It was a little creepy to see someone so zoned out, emotionless. Sure, she was asking for a lot. It couldn't be helped, as the situation had waltzed into her and now it felt like she had to finish things to the end.

To Valerius' disappointment the young woman didn't answer the question as to her name. She just stated that she didn't think Nicholas or his human, Lindsey, were guilty. Valerius also took note of the fact that Nicholas had recovered from the neck injury that Valerius had inflicted upon him due to his rather foolish attack. Nicholas stood and bared his fangs looking as if ready to strike again, this was a particularly stupid young vampire, Valerius thought to himself. If he keeps this up Valerius will just have to bring him the true death.
It was then that the young woman spoke again about Nicholas and Lindsey's work place. Much to Nicholas' shock about the young woman knowing this, well obviously she was telepathic you young fool. Valerius didn't actually say this, though he wanted to, it was quite obvious after all. But why spread news of the young woman, if she had remained hidden this long she must be quite clever. Valerius was curious about her now, and wished to get to know her.
Next the young woman addressed Valerius finally revealing her name, but she seemed to do it with hesitation. She also somewhat demanded to know the proof Valerius had against the two criminals. This Tinsley seemed to have a rather impertinent tongue. Valerius would forgive her that, that seemed to be the way of the modern world, demanding answers to questions you really have no business asking. At least her request to release Lindsey had been a question instead of an order.
Valerius thought for a second, "Well my dear Tinsley, my proof against the accused is that vials of V were discovered by my men in their home. As well as eyewitness accounts." Valerius turned and glared at Nicholas, "The evidence seems stacked against you dear boy. However this young woman, whom I am willing to listen to, seems convinced of your innocence." Valerius would let them both wonder as to the reason Valerius was willing to listen to Tinsley, no doubt Nicholas was confused. Valerius wondered if Tinsley was equally confused or if she had figured out why Valerius was listening to her. "That being said, if you do not put away your fangs I will remove them." Nicholas' bravery seemed to melt at the threat and he put away his fangs.
Valerius locked as with the still motionless Lindsey, "You human, you can move again, I give you permission." Glamouring humans could be so easy Valerius thought. "However if you run I will take that as a sign of your guilt and act accordingly." Valerius turned back toward Tinsley with a smile, "You may proceed Ms. Tinsley." Valerius knew that Tinsley was going to read the young Lindsey's mind to find answers. This would make Valerius job that much easier, now he wouldn't have to waste time on a lengthy interrogation.
Valerius decided to add, "And Nicholas, let Tinsley proceed. If you attempt to interrupt or harm her in any way, you with be dealt with swiftly." Valerius wanted to make sure it was understood by all that Tinsley was not to be harmed or interrupted. After all she was assisting Valerius in determining their guilt or innocence.
