[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] hey guys. my name is stephen joseph descartes, but you can call me stephen. everyone else does, so i guess you can too. i'm four hundred and thirty years young, and if it isn't already obvious, i'm a male. it should be. what isn't so obvious is the fact that i'm a vampire, but you can keep that a secret for now. |
personality
You know, not many people get to know about me, I don’t like when people know exactly what I’m like. But since you asked so nicely, I will tell her a little. For starters I am a rather vicious person if I do say so myself, I’m not one of those people you can just mess with and then walk away, if you do, get ready for war. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and if I need it I have no problem manipulating other people into helping me get what I want. Humans are of course the easiest target; they fall for things so easily it’s almost sad. Though when they run out of usefulness to be I usually dispose of them, pets are only fun for awhile before you want a new one. But when it comes to those who I am close with then I am rather over protective, this mostly goes towards my creation Luna. I think of her as my daughter so of course I will protect her with my life. Though she is pretty much the only one I trust with...well anything really, I find everyone let’s you down eventually, but she hasn’t. I tend to keep more to myself, not because I’m shy but because I find the people of this generation to be rather annoying and stupid. Really where have manners gone? Ha-ha, not that I really have any myself but still, this world use to actually be worth living in, now it’s just turning into a bit of a dump.
Enough about that, you want to know what I like? Well girls, drinking and smoking are the big ones there. Have to admit, the humans have come up with some useful things. But other than that I enjoy riding around on my motorcycle and also find it quite fun to break the rules of the human world. They are all so pointless. Going away for murder, jeez, you use to be able to just kill whoever you wanted and hope that none of their family would come after you to kill you. Times have defiantly changed, but I’m not going to specify if for the better or worse, I’ll leave that for you to decide for yourself. I have to say joking around and pulling pranks is also something I find rather entertaining, the defiantly help to pass time and as a vampire you sure have a lot of it to pass.
As for dislikes, well this list could be a very long one so I’ll just stick with the basics. Humans for sure make this list, though they don’t always piss me off so they’re a few that I can stand to be around, but they tend to be few and far between. I’d stick with hanging out at my club all the time if that was possible, but the world would be so lost if they weren’t graced with my presence every once in a while. Yeah, I can see what you’re thinking ‘he’s so cocky’, but actually no I’m not, I just speak the truth, and sorry if that annoys you. Guess you’ll have to deal with that since I really don’t care what anyone thinks about me. But anyway, we’re getting off track here, back to my dislikes. Another thing that makes the list is whining, oh god how I hate whiny people, and also people who ask for everything and expect it handed to them. Go out and get it yourself like normal people had to do when they were first starting out.
What do I think of vampires? Well I am one so obviously I think they are pretty damn great; though they’re a few that just piss me off. So I guess I will reword that, some of us are pretty damn great. As for shifters, witches, ect I don’t really care either way as long as they don’t piss me off I have no reason to hate them, but they also have never really given me a reason to like them so I guess it’s an iffy situation. But, hey, you can’t get along with everyone, hell why would you want too?
history
Now you want to know about my past? Well, aren’t we a nosey bunch, but sit down kiddies and I’ll tell you a bit of a story. I was born to a mother and father quite obviously, their names were ah well who cares? I don’t remember them anyways, both of them died when I was quite young, guess they didn’t care enough about me to stick around. I lived in California most of my life, sleeping on benches and eating out of garbage cans, it wasn’t common back then for people to want to adopt others children. Though I must say, I am thankful no one did, living on the street taught me valuable things that some other people would never get to learn. I have a pretty awesome poker face. You see, it was one of the days –when I was quite a few years older, that was snooping around for somewhere warm to sleep, I believe it was winter, that I ran into an interesting young man. He had looked nice enough, but I had learnt not to trust anyone or anything you met well combing for shelter. Here he were stupid human me, over taken by curiosity that I followed the strange man. If you haven’t figured it out yet, this was when I was turned. The man who I later found out name was Charles, was actually rather nice, besides the fact that he drank my blood and almost killed me. Charles taught me everything I needed to know about being a vampire and honestly I don’t think he would have let me out of his sights if I didn’t run away.
I have a lot to thank Charles for, but I have to say I liked life on my own as a vampire a lot better. I was one of the rebel ones, getting into as much trouble as I could and upsetting as many humans as was possible. I would guess the King and Queen of California had a chair with my name on it, metaphor of course taken from the human one about principles. It was after they had decided that I needed to supervisor that I left California and came to New Jersey, this was also about the time I met Luna, my creation. Oh, she was beautiful and at the time I was rather lonely and needed company, not to mention the fact that I still had a hard time controlling my blood thirst. But in short I turned her and stayed with her.
Over the years we had a few hook ups but now I treat her like more of a daughter and she thinks of me as more of a father. I think it turned out pretty good, not to mention the fact that we now own a club. Have to say life is good, stay tuned ladies and gents for the next entry. Ha-ha, just kidding, that’s all you get to know.

Alex found herself enjoying how easily he laughed and smiled and when he smiled she felt like she just wanted to smile back and not like she had to. For some reason it seemed like talking to him made her feel less pissed off about everything else that had happened recently; which was probably a good thing or she most likely would have snapped at him by now, and then she wouldn’t have been able to go enjoy the beach with him and that would have been a shame. She knew he was probably use to girls saying yes to him but she didn’t really care, she had said yes because she was also here for a beach and company was always a good thing to have.
Listening to his laughter made her smile. ”Ah, yes, now I remember. Though I do believe you were usually with some girls when I saw you.” A knowing look crossed her face. ”You must be the one I hear the human girls talking about all the time. The charming good looking one, yup, I can see it.” As they continued the walk down the slope she looked over at him and smirked. The humans seemed so gullible these days; it was almost too easy to get what you wanted from them. And Alex was one of the types of girls that liked a challenge and it was sad that manipulating humans didn’t really present one anymore. ”You must get a lot of girl’s numbers with that smile of yours.” He had a nice smile and for herself that was one of the first things she looked at in the man. Though she said it as a joke to make sure he didn’t get the wrong idea, though she was having fun with their little back and forth flirting game.
When they reached the bottom of the trail she heard him speak again. ”I’ve been here for quite a few years, somewhere around six years if I remember correctly. What about yourself?” She asked as she followed him down onto the beach, she had decided that she was going to let him decide where he wanted to go.
Looking over at the ocean she smiled they had made it down just as the sun was starting to disappear behind the rolling waves. ”It always looks so nice with the sun setting over it.” it was said almost to herself and Alex didn’t even really notice that she had said it.[/div]
