Her feet carried her along the pier, her mind not knowing why she was here but still she let her feet decide. It was something she enjoyed doing every once in awhile, just letting her feet take her where they wanted to go. The act made her feel free and more relaxed in a sense. It was always nice just to let go of your control and see where you end up. Of course some people would disagree with her seeing as some don’t like to lose the control they posses. But to Laura, it was like testing herself each time, seeing how far she could push herself to let go. The process always helped to clear her mind of the burdens of the day.
Stopping at the end of the pier she looked out of the ocean, letting the sounds and smells seep in. It was just after sunset and the stars were just starting to show, a beautiful sight to behold. Letting out a deep sigh she slid her eyes closed. This was her relaxing time and god knew after the past few days she had had she needed it. Though she had to admit, they hadn’t been that bad, after all she did finally run into her father. When she least expected it to. The whole run in had to make her laugh; it had actually been quite awkward. And if she remembers correctly, at first Luke had no idea what to say or do. ”Ah, good times.” Letting out a small laugh she opened her eyes again to look out over the water.
After a little time pasted she turned around and leaned her back against the railing. More time had passed then she had thought, she decided as she looked around and up at the sky. Honestly she had thought she’d run into someone out here but it appeared that she was alone. Not that she minded, after all she had come out her for just that, to be alone. Though it wasn’t like she was exactly stretching her senses to check to see if anyone was near. If they wanted to sneak up on her then let them. They’d end up with a lovely surprise.

Maggie often found herself wandering the piers at night trying to find something to do. Lately she had just been following orders from the king. It wasn't something she liked either but at least she got rewarded with freshblood for each kill she made. Being an assassin had its perks but she was still fairly new at it. Her ego had walked her straight into several fights with Weres. The king wasn't happy about this at all. Seemed no matter how hard she tried to break the habit, she almost always sought out trouble. Maggie often claimed it made her feel more alive, well that and Luke. They had been dating for a few days now and things seemed to be prefect. She had never loved someone so much in her life. Everything about Luke made her heart seem to beat again. There just wasn't any other way to put it. She felt human.
A scent caught her attention and being the curious being she was she ventured forth to investigate it a little further. She knew very well this scent belonged to a witch. Her head tilted slightly as she smirked. This was gonna be fun. Although in the back of her mind she was somewhat scared of taking on such a powerful thing. Maggie had taken on Samara the kings most powerful witch and it hadn't been so bad. So why not one more?

Wind blowing through her hair Laura smiled, the person was getting closer, though the wind was heading in the wrong direction so she couldn’t pick up any scent. Not wanting to ruin the surprise Laura kept her head turned to the water, using her ears to keep track of the person behind her. She tapped her fingers lightly on the wooden bars in front of her; she almost wished she wasn’t too lazy to use magic to help tell her who the person was. She had an idea...of course she did; Laura never went into anything without taken an educated guess at who was there or what would happen. Plus it was always fun to see when you’re right.
Laura was feeling a little full of herself at the moment, she could admit that. After all she was learning more fun things she could do with her powers and she could feel them growing. Having power was one of the best things she had ever felt and she wasn’t up to letting it go. ”Having a small power trip are we Laura?” Laughing at herself she turned around on the bar and looked at the person approaching. A look of surprise covering her face for a short period of time. ”Well, well who do we have here?” Grin creeping across her lips Laura walked forward a little, eyeing the vampire.
”The ever so famous Maggie, what brings you here? I know it couldn’t have been to see little old me.” Her voice made the sounds of a sweet lullaby as she stopped and looked her over.

" Well, well who do we have here? The ever so famous Maggie, what brings you here? I know it couldn’t have been to see little old me.” Maggie rose her eyebrow as she approached her. She knew that witches could be impressive, which is why she didn't really bother to act that surprised at the fact that this one seemed to know who she was. She didn't remember ever meeting her, at least she thought she hadn't. "Who the hell are you?" she said with a cold stare. "Whoever you are I can tell that I don't like you already. I would wipe that smug grin off your face. Just because your a witch means nothing!" she said narrowing her eyes.
There was a part of her that was slightly scared, one that had remembered what great power her sister as a witch processed but she knew that her vampire speed and senses could do almost just as much damage. If she needed to defend herself she probably could, then again she might have been getting a little too comfortable. There were a lot of spells that could be cast that would leave Maggie nothing but helpless.
