“I would never cheat on your father asshole…” Buffy sputtered between breaths. He was in the middle of a jog when a man jogged up next to him and started conversation. He was sure it wasn’t intended but the guy had seriously insulted Buffy. He started talking about his hate for vampires but believed in gay rights. Buffy looked at it as one in the same. Most people in Jersey didn’t see it the way he did. It was really irritating for him though. The man asked him if he had ever fucked a vampire so Buffy got wise and answered him. The guy stopped jogging and started shouting curses as Buffy sped up a little bit and turned into the trail.
“For someone who doesn’t like vampires, it’d be wise to go inside…” Buffy warned as he glanced to the pale full moon. It was dark but Buffy loved running in the moonlight. The cool air on his hot skin, his blood pumping through his veins harshly, his feet making crunching sounds against the littered ground of twigs, it was all quite addicting. He would be lying if he didn’t say that some of this was for an adrenaline rush to be out this late.
Something was always happening this late. He loved it, but he had no idea that this time something would be happening to him. He made a turn into the graveyard where he saw a woman standing off in the distance. She waved to him, a light coming from her hand. “Woah..” He said coming to a halt. He started to walk towards her but she started to look panicky. She was looking around and her light was fading. “What’s wrong?” He asked as he got closer to her. “We have to go now! I’ll explain later, come with me.” She beckoned. Buffy took a step back.
“I don’t know you, but why do I feel like I know you?” He told her. She looked around again and Buffy looked around too. “What are you looking at and what is that light?” he said looking at her hand. “I’m sorry, but I have to go. You need to get out of here now…they’re coming.” She said before running off into the treeline. Buffy followed her, “wait! Please!” He pleaded. The strangest feeling of euphoria came over him when she was nearby. In the blink of an eye, she was gone. Leaving Buffy standing in the woods, alone.

This situation was often typical. In fact it was slightly boring. It seemed like she had been doing the same damn thing for the past 111 years. She supposed that she needed to find new ways of entertaining herself. Considering she had just feed she was now in the business of scaring the crap out of anyone that happened to cross her path before getting a quick snack. Killing them just seemed so boring now. Humans really did disgust her, especially those that seemed rather disgusted by her kind. Seeing that Maggie often had quite a temper it was no surprise that she had once shoved picket signs down several fang bashers throats. Maggie had never been one to negotiate.
As the cold crisp night air kisses her cheek her eyes narrowed. There had been several people she had been following that night, spoking them into a tizzy. It was just this one she was currently studying was really catching her interest. It wasn't hard for Maggie to pick up on the presence of another supernatural being, but his scent and feel was nothing like she had experienced before. In a blink of an eye she was by his side running her fingers across his neck, debating whether or not it would be safe to bite into such an unknown creature. "And who might you be?" she smirked before walking around so she was dead in front of him. Her fangs were no visible as she continued to study him wondering why he seemed so appealing to her. He seemed so human...but something was slightly off.

“Gah!” Buffy said feeling something running along his neck. Could it just be the flow of the wind against the peach-fuzz hair on the back of his neck? A completely harmless fly landing on him for a second before launching off? Nope, not with Buffy luck. It was a girl, who he was pretty sure was a vampire. Vampires scared him at times, which he tried not to let happen because it would cause him to feel bad. He looked at being scared of a vampire just as wrong as being scared of someone based on their race, it wasn’t logical.
But this girl, gave him a feeling he couldn’t shake. Maybe it was because of the lustful look on her face or because of whatever he saw earlier. “I’m Buffy…and before you ask, yes like her” Buffy said trying to lighten the mood a little. The woman was now in front of him. Shame, he couldn’t read vampires thoughts. “A-And who are you?” Buffy tried to relax but it was very clear that he was scared.

"Maggie Evans." she said with a smirk as she tilted her head. Not only was his scent rather fascinating to her but his name seemed slightly amusing. "I don't have to pat you down for stakes do I? I hope that you don't take after your female tv twin and think that you can take down something like me." she said with a slight growl. When at all possible Maggie wanted to make sure those that encountered her were well aware of her abilities. The more intimidated her person of question or interest was in the better. " So...what are you. You certainly are not human...if you are human, your the first one that has smelt...well this appealing."
Try as Maggie might she could not stop thinking of sinking her teeth into his neck. It was almost surprising that she was able to hold back for so long. She knew though, in the back of her mind some things were too good to be true and there were a lot of supernatural beings out there that walked among the vampires of Jamerson Falls. The last thing she needed was to figure out she had just been poisoned by drinking some unknown creatures blood. Okay, so maybe she was a little cautious at times. "There is no need to be scared of me though. I don't bite...hard."

“Maybe…” Buffy told Maggie as he looked at her face. She was beautiful, this was typical vampire behavior when he was around. He didn’t know what it was exactly but they always seemed to be so attracted to him. “I smell…different…” He asked. Could she know about his powers? Maybe she could smell them in her blood. Maybe it was all just on display in his features. He was clueless as to how she knew so much about him. “I am human…” He lied. He most certainly wasn’t going to mention his powers. That was just none of her business.
“I’m not scared of you. I know that you’re not allowed to bite me. You’re as harmless as a fly. So why don’t you just get out of my face?” Buffy said getting frustrated and scared. He wondered if she could hear how fast his heart was pumping or the blood that was rushing through his veins. “I find that vampires are actually allergic to me...” He lied.

As Maggie began to circle him like a shark, she worn a slight smirk. The sound of his blood pumping through his veins was driving her crazy but she was somehow managing to keep her composure. "I think your lying." she said very matter of fact as she tilted her head. "And how can you be so sure that I would be allergic to your blood...I haven't even had a sip. You certainly don't smell human either...believe me I am an expert. Humans are like bottles of wine...the smell gives you hints as to if they will be worth drinking." She stopped again in front of him, her eyes narrowing as she could hear his little heart beating faster and faster. "Would you prefer the neck or wrist?" she smirked.
Maggie was never one for rules and just had foolishly convinced herself that she would not have to suffer for any of those that she had killed. Buffy on the other hand was just a very interesting case to her. She didn't want to kill him...she wanted to investigate the situation a little further and in order to do that she had to have a taste of his blood.

"Because when I was younger, vampires tried to bite me. They soon found out they couldn't since I have the virus..." Buffy lied. Buffy was actually a good liar especially when he had to. He had heard about the virus that hurts vampires. AIDS wouldn't affect them but would leave sour taste like cancer. But the new vampire virus would render one useless for a few days. Buffy had yet to be bitten and he wasn't going to let her sink her teeth into him now.
He shoved her back and turned to run into opposite direction. He snatched the chain from around his neck and wrapped it around his throat. From somewhere in the woods, a sharp light formed. Someone looking out for Buffy but he didn't notice it because he was busy running for his life.

Fleet of foot, all four of them, Vision was but a streak of darkness dappled from time to time by the light of the full moon that was breaking through the leaves of the trees and illuminating the forest floor. This was his place, the forest, though he had wandered out of the more protected area around the den. It was not really much concern to him at the moment though, the pack was far, doing their own thing, getting more acquainted with each other inside their bounds. This time around he got to explore. The forest was no trouble for him as everything around him had it's own aura of color. The color was not caught by his eyes. Instead it was his nose that lit up this night. He could smell further than any wolf he had come in contact with, and that was saying a lot for one of the Napaski wolves.
He was following the trail of big game. It was the brusque brown color of the earth, and large predator. If he kept going in the direction he was going he would meet up with the bear in about fifteen or twenty minutes, and he would satisfy his craving for fight and flesh both. He had not had many chances to wage war against a predator that was bigger than him, but this hulking beast left enough scent behind that he knew it was probably around nine feet if it were standing straight. It would be a fight to remember, or at least he hoped so.
As he was envisioning the coming fight, his nose caught something that did not belong here. Not one, of course not, but two things now. The latter was harder to scent, it smelled of forest, almost as much as he did. The second though, it smelled of freshly turned dirt, old blood and decay. He knew this scent. He once had issues with things that bore such a scent. It was a Vampire. In his woods none the less. If he was honest with himself this wasn't quite his part of the woods, but it was close enough.
Turning aside from the bear trail he made his way swiftly and silently along the forest floor to the more interesting smells. The vampire might not be bigger than him, but they were always trouble. They were much more crafty than natural predators. They were faster and stronger too. Then again so was he. This may turn out to be one of the more interesting full moons he had for quite a while. He was getting closer. Enough so that he could hear the conversation that the two were having. The first thing he heard 'I am human' from the one that smelled absolutely nothing like a human. It was a lie. He could hear the tinny ring of the lie even as it left the thing's lips.
He couldn't even tell if it looked human, but if it was making that claim, he was pretty sure it normally passed it's self off as human. Then the next lie came. The male said something about vampires being allergic to him. The vampire was calling the other's bluff. With a deep inhalation through his nose and mouth he concentrated on the vampire's scent. Luckily the wind was in his favor and blowing towards him from the direction of the vampire. The vampire was female. She also did not smell of ancient times like some of the older ones did. She was maybe twice his age. Another odd thing about her is that the smell of desperation and frustration did not exude from her as it does from hungry vampires. So she was a girl, twice her age, and not hungry, but still she was trying to make this male her prey.
The situation did not sit right wit Vision but his alpha's instinct to protect the weak was still kicking in. It was too late to turn back now, and he could not just sit by and see this male drained. He padded forward with his usual silent paws. The silence was of course ruined by the deep rumbling that came from deep within his chest as his hulking form came into a particularly bright patch of moonlight. Then he abruptly lifted his snout in the direction of the moon and issued an eardrum shattering howl. The howl would be heard by the pack, though he conveyed no need for them to come yet. If he couldn't stop this single female vampire from draining this poor male, then he would call them through the bonds of Pack. As a complete stillness swept through the forest he lowered his muzzle and bared his rows of teeth, the skin forming uncountable ripples over his massive jaws as the rumble became a full bore growl.

Emile had been in the area when Vis had howled; he didn't even have to think about it before he was off, sprinting on his paws through the trees and leaping ditches. He was smaller than any Were in the pack - or indeed in the town - but to anything human sized he'd still be intimidating, the same way that guard dogs worked, really.Of course, his nose had already picked up on the scent of a Vampire - communicating what the howl hadn't. He growled softly at the thought. Emile consciously had no problem with them, but Wolf Emile DID. He hated them being in the packs territory, and this one was assaulting a human, or so it seemed.
He burst through the bushes and landed rather neatly behind Vis; assessing the situation quickly. Emile wasn't a child now; he never was on full moons - he was a predator first and foremost, and a wolf. His instincts kicked in and he padded up beside his Alpha, muzzle wrinkling to expose teeth as he snarled at the Vampire himself, ears back. He was tense and ready to attack; at full strength Emile wasn't a slouch despite his size.
He knew technically Vis hadn't asked for assistance right now but Emile was close enough and he was very protective of his pack; at the moment he hadn't even noticed Buffy - he noticed the female though, and every nerve was telling him to attack. Vis hadn't, so he wouldn't. He broke off from beside Vis and stalked around to her right side, still snarling at her.
He stopped, paws sinking into the earth as he tensed himself to charge her at a seconds notice. He was fast - faster than Vis probably due to his size - so if she ran he'd probably be able to keep pace with her for a while-
And then get his jaws on her throat and end her miserable life.

Maggie had expected Buffy to run off. What she didn't expect to happen was on her pursuit to reclaim him as her little snack that she would be stopped by wolves. Two to be more accurate. Her fangs were now fully extended as she came to a halt and glared at the beasts before her. One of them, the smaller of the two had came around to her side while the bigger one stood back debating whether or not to attack her. "Apparently baths aren't apart of your vocabulary or lifestyle." she hissed as her noise wrinkled. The smell was a whole lot stronger now that she was in direct contact with these canines. She stepped back slightly wondering if it was even worth trying to chase after Buffy. With three against one it seemed like a rather unfair advantage but Maggie had always been unbelievably stubborn and never really gave up easily.
Without much thought she jumped into a near by tree, hovering for only a second before she reached its rough bark. Flying wasn't really something she had accomplished since she was still rather young. Her speed picked back up as she found Buffy's scent again. She was now jumping from tree to tree to capture her prey. She wanted a sip, and by god she was going to get one. Killing him didn't seem to be an opinion she wouldn't have enough time. She needed to get to Buffy before the wolves got to her. A slightl laugh escaped her lips as she jumped in front of buffy landing only a few feet away from him. "I want a little bite before our furry friends catch up so if you would just stop running this whole thing will go by a lot faster." she smirked.

TASTE ME, drink my soul
Just run…don’t stop… Buffy told himself. His feet were pounding against the forest floor as he dashed as fast as he could. He was very fast for a human, but he did have a slight limp that only supernatural creatures seemed to pick up on. In the back of his mind, he could hear his mother’s mantra ‘words have meaning be careful what you say. If you say you can’t then you already lost.’ He would have to lie to himself that he could outrun a blood thirsty vampire, which wasn’t easy. He remembered that she told him that every time before a ballet routine. Granted, this was nothing like doing a pirouette, but he had to stay positive. His heart was racing which betrayed him since the vampire would surely hear it. Damn, his blood and stupid genetics!
He could curse the name of all the Dior’s later; right now he needed some plan to live. The chain around his wrist slipped off and he hesitated for only a second before just leaving it behind. One would think that he would have a natural defense that any human would have some sort of defense against vampires, but he wasn’t so lucky. Even being a psychic didn’t help him since he couldn’t read vampires minds, which sucked. Not only was his blood intoxicating as he had been told, he also couldn’t read vampires thoughts to boot. Yeah, the odds weren’t really in his favor. He should have listened to the warning of the woman with light in her hands. She had told him to run but he just shook it off.
A cold shiver going down his spine brought his thoughts back to earth when he heard the first howl of a wolf. He turned his head to see behind him and didn’t see anything even the vampire. “Seriously? Now wolves?!” He said as he stopped and put his back against a tree to catch his breath. It would not be a surprise with Buffy’s uncanny ability to get into trouble for him to hear a bear next. Buffy wasn’t one to run from a fight even if he knew he would lose, lord knew he couldn’t fight but maybe he could to save his life, adrenaline and all that jazz. He looked at the ground and grabbed a stick as he saw a flurry of leaves fall around him. He looked up to see Maggie in the tree before she landed in front of him.
Buffy stood up quickly and took a step back but tripped, he still moved back, the stick tight in his hand. He finally used the tree to stand and looked at Maggie as she talked. “Furry friends?” He asked, giving her a mean yet unsure look. He stiffened and raised his head a little out of false courage. “What did you do feed off some heroin addict?” He asked her not sure if he was serious. He raised the stick to her and narrowed his eyes. “Listen here sweetheart. I’m not going down without a fight. They don’t call me Buffy for kicks babe.” He told her before he rushed at her with the stick held out like a stake. If he was going to die, he wasn’t going down so easily, at least in his eyes. Around vampires he could let down his mental wall since he wouldn’t hear anything but he stretched out his mind so he could take in anything nearby he picked up on something but it was difficult to read it was just like animal instincts but human at the same time. Weird…

The instant the vampire jumped, she became prey. There was no two ways about it. If it fled, it bled. His leap was seconds late, His jaws snapped over the air that her leg had just occupied, and he snarled frustration. He was running nearly before he made contact with the ground. He was moving as she was, tracking her movements as she went from tree to tree. Twice he tried to reach her as she moved, bounding up and twisting so his feet struck a tree across from the tree that Maggie was about to jump into. Both the attempts fell slightly late, snapping the branch from which she had just vacated.
He was not going to give the corpse much time to stalk her prey. It did take a few seconds for Vision to catch up to Maggie and start circling around, trying to get closer or in between the male and the vampire. He was to the vampire's right, hoping that Emile would circle the opposite way, to her left side, when the male went and ruined things. Letting out a snarling cough, he could do nothing but watch as the male put himself within reach of the vampire. Stick or not, Vision didn't see this coming out well for the human. They were too close together now for Vision to make his own attack, If the male was hurt by Vision, things would go from bad to worse in an instant. [/blockquote]

The one thing you shouldn't do when faced with an aggressive canine was turn and run, even indirectly. The second you turned your back, instincts kicked in and you became prey. Vis launched himself after her a split second before Emile himself did; paws kicking up dirt as he threw himself into pursuit.
Unlike Vis though, Emile couldn't attempt to leap up and grab her; instead he simply kept pace from the ground, barking and snapping at her as he weaved his small form through bushes and across ditches. As they came to a stop Emile trotted around to her left, a rumble in his chest. His eyes scanned the situation even though his instincts screamed to attack - they where too close for either of them to attack her without attacking the human himself.
The smaller wolf snarled in irritation at the Vampire, pacing back and forth along his line, watching for any opening. Vis was too large; if he attacked it could hit the human because of his size.
Of course the male would run at her, but that gave the smaller wolf the opening he needed.
With a burst of speed he threw himself to his left and kicked off the dirt with his paws and straight at her left side; the momentum of his small body would hopefully be enough to collide with her and knock her to the ground and utterly miss the human - who by that time would either be on the floor dying or in her arms. Either way, if the blow connected with him slightly it'd simply be his impact, not anything dangerous - no claws or teeth. That wasn't the aim, not yet.
Of course, once she was on the ground, Emile could get at her throat, or allow Vis to crush the life out of her. He personally hoped for the former. ((So Emile is basically trying to use his weight and momentum to knock her down, he's not trying to bite her or anything ^^))

Laughing came naturally. Especially when her prey attempted to form a makeshift stake out of a stick. It would be deathly to her none the less but she was going to make sure that he wasn't going to be able to use his arm to stick it into her. As Buffy ran towards her she braced herself evaluating what she was going to do the moment he got close enough. She could smell and sense the wolves close by and she knew she needed to work fast or she was going to be having to deal with the mutts. Unfortunately for her she found herself on the ground only seconds before she was going to rip the twig from Buffy's hands. A loud growl erupted from her as her fang revealed themselves to the young wolf. Doing about the only thing she could at that point, she bite into the front legs of the beast so that he would draw back just enough that Maggie could wiggle out from underneath.
In one swift motion she managed to scramble to her feet before launching herself towards the wolf. She dug her nails into the beast fur hoping it would break skin as she proceeded to bite into his neck. Her hand grabbed from his back leg yanking it as hard as she could hoping to hear a snap and successfully break a bone. Her eyes grew darker before she picked the beast up and threw him towards the other. Looking at Vis with a cold stare. "Back off this isn't your fight. Keep the pup in line or I won't have a problem snapping his neck." she growled before looking at buffy. The smell of his blood once again distracting her. With all she could she raced up behind him and grabbed his neck, before yanking the stick from his hand. "One more move and the he gets it." she hissed as she looked at the wolves with utter hate. They couldn't do much now...at least she hoped they couldn't.

TASTE ME, drink my soul
Buffy launched towards her, feeling something grow inside him. When he did, something fast and black flashed across his vision and knocked the vampire aside. He almost fell over but caught himself which didn’t happen too often. He looked at the black fur on top of Maggie and his eyes widened with realization. It was a wolf! A wolf had saved him? He still held onto the stick tight and had it risen as he backed away from the wolf. Turning to run, he came face to face with another wolf. “Oh dear…” Buffy said swallowing. Were the wolves here to help him or to kill him? With animals, he could usually tell their emotions since they thought differently than humans. He could see images and just feel what they felt. His heart was still racing as he stood there frozen looking at the wolf. He looked at his stick ready to launch it to see if the wolf would chase after it or at least turn his head. He grew up with dogs and knew it only angered a wolf to turn your back on it. He stayed looked at the wolf as he moved to the side.
He took his eyes from the wolf and looked at the smaller one that was on top of Maggie. He let down his wall to listen into the thoughts of the wolf. He heard the voice of a prepubescent boy and shut it back off. He looked at the two wolves realizing that these weren’t your average wolves. The small one had human thoughts, he couldn’t make out what it was saying, and it scared him to hear a coherent thought too much to actually listen to it. He looked back to the bigger wolf, unknowingly using his scent sent out a calming effect towards the wolf. He was sweating which made his scent more potent. “You guys are thinking…” Buffy said completely forgetting Maggie. Before when he let his walls down he say a man running through the woods under the full moon.
He could hear voices but was unsure where they were coming from and now he was pretty sure the four of them were the only ones in the forest. But wolves didn’t think, he gasped and took more steps back as he realized what they were. “You’re a were-?” His attention turned towards the cry of a wolf then the massive wolf got hit with the smaller wolf and he could feel cold hands around his body. He struggled to get off of her but it was useless to fight her. He felt stronger as if something that had been sleeping inside of hi was finally awaking. His skin was bright now, he didn’t notice and it would have been unnoticeable by human eyes but it had. Only a few shades but it was as if something inside him was starting to glow but then died back down. “Please. Just let me go. I don’t want to die…” Buffy pleaded with the vampire.
He looked to the wolfs again realizing that they were not what they seemed, I know what you are. And I know you can hear me as I can hear you. If you get us to edge towards the tree, I can kick off of it and then you can go for her throat when he hit the ground. Buffy said mentally to both before struggling to get free. “Crazy bitch!” He just didn’t know when to quit.
