She'd came to the pier alone, but had spotted a few of them along the way. They had chatted and walked the pier for a bit and had a great time. "It was great seeing you guys!" She told them as she hugged another friend "I wish we could stay, but Cheryl is our ride and her mom wanted us home half an hour ago." Adelyn giggled. Ambry just smiled and nodded "Okay, I'll see you guys around!" The girl waved at her retreating friends and started down the pier once more, still smiling. It had been a hot day, thankfully Ambry was in jean shorts and a light blue tank top, and now it was starting to cool down as the sun set. She stopped by a food stand and ordered a pretzel on the way to the end of the pier, and ate as she walked. Normally she would pick tiny pieces off her snack and toss them to the sea gulls, but there were too many people here and she knew they wouldn't want a swarm of sea gulls swooping around them. The girl passed many small shops set up on each side of the pier, so many different things were set out. There were shells made into lights, ear rings and necklaces. Jamerson Pier magnates and pins and, the strangest of all, a stand where a man would write your name and what ever you'd like on a grain of rice and put it into a tiny pendant filled with colored water to wear around your neck. She made a note to come back to some of those shops later. Ambry looked at the setting sun and watched it for a while, she'd been to the pier so many times through out her child hood, but she would never get used to watching the sun set. It never got old and was always breath taking. mikey! of caution 2.0 |
