"Your highness there is something up ahead." Corbin held up her hand and gave a nod as she tried to silence her guard. She could hear the moans of distress and pain. "Stay close." her eyes met her guard's as the two of them walked towards a man that was hunched over. Normally Corbin took her walks by the college campus because she like the small trails the weaved in and out of main mall that lead to the administration building. When the two of them reached the man Corbin approached him cautiously. Her eyes softened as she could sense the pain the man was in. He looked to be in his late 30's and it seemed like someone had beaten and bruised him pretty badly. "Sir are you ok? The man looked up at Corbin and gave an out of place smile the threw her off. "I knew your kind would be around, looking for people to suck the life out of. I'm here to prove a point. I'm dying for the truth." he said raising his voice slightly.
Corbin didn't know what he was taking about until the sharp scent reached her nose and her eyes darkened. The man had cut into his arm deeply before pouring what looked like more blood on top of it. Corbin tried to hold herself back but it was no use, the blood smelt unlike anything she had ever smelt before and her lips soon were tasting it as growls escaped her throat. She wasn't a queen any longer but a monster. It wasn't until the man drew his last breath that she realized what had happened. This was a set up, he had been looking for a vampire to take advantage of his act of weakness (probably self afflicted) and had mixed his blood with something else, something irresistible. Unknown to the young queen the man had taken advantage of fae blood and mixed it with his own to create a irresistible combination. One that would grant him his death wish. To him he would be dying to prove a point.
Corbin's eyes widened as she stood up from where she had been kneeling, her whole body was shaking as her eyes narrowed on the man she had been trying to help, that was until every ounce of control in her body snapped. Her guard, who was only human had watched the whole thing unfold to his horror. It was supposed to be just a simple night walk, but it had turned into a disaster. "Your highness is he...." "Dead..." her voice was shaking slightly as she looked at the blood that had stained her dress. This wasn't supposed to happen. "Your highness..." Corbin looked back at her guard. Crimson streaks where already running down her cheek. She didn't know what to say and she could tell the guard was struggling for words. Everything happened so fast and it was apparent the two of them were both in shock.
