[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] hey guys. my name is callie rachel moore, but you can call me KK. everyone else does, so i guess you can too. i'm twenty years young, and if it isn't already obvious, i'm a female. it should be. what isn't so obvious is the fact that i'm a vampire, but you can keep that a secret for now. |
personality
Callie Rachel Moore is that girl you can see laughing at the most simple things as though she doesn't have a care in the world. Granted, like no one else on this world, she isn't so lucky, but throughout the years, she has learnt that sulking about it does nothing for her mood. It is for this reason that she has learnt to roll with the punches and take life one step at a time. Exempt the same detail that she has no idea where she's going, she keeps telling herself that the journey and the adventure that is her life will fulfill her more than the destination in itself. Callie hates plans, or knowing where she's going. Her ideal vacation would be to get lost in a foreign city and taking random pictures of passerbys, family, and the heirlooms of the heritage. In her view, the best path to go is the one you're not sure of. It is for this reason that she refuses to live with regrets, and has brought it upon herself to live in the moment. The future is subsequently something she tries to forget, eventhough her past has given her to subconsciously yearn for some stability in her life. It is for this reason that she doesn't fear commitment and instead opens her arms to it willingly. In her view, to really be spontaneous and take ones life into their own hands, the person needs to be passionate of all things ; It is for this reason that she is very much so in tune with her thoughts, and feelings. Being as outspoken as she is, others can read her quite easily also. In this sense, one could deem her to be an open book, which can prove to be a complication.Being as emotive and open as she is, for example, Callie is the kind of girl to get jealous and protective -- borderline posessive -- of those she loves.
Her openness is a bittersweet quality. Even if she does believe that honesty really is the best policy, situations she has been put in have proved to portray as bitchy or too in ones face. Its true that Callie doesn't sugar coat anything and doesn't plan to.
Furthermore, she can prove to be quite insensitive and lacking of compassion to those who need it. If you screwed up, she'll tell you, and won't offer you sympathy if you won't be willing to something to change your stance in regards to said problem. She doesn't lecture, however, and will therefore call you out on your shit before letting you take your decision wile keeping her thoughts to herself, unless asked for specifically. It is for this reason that she scarcely ever voices her opinion on the presence of vampires in Jamerson Falls, in spite of her strong views on the matter. In reality, however, Callie believes vampires to be humans who were forced into their situation by circumstances beyond their control and shouldn't be reprimanded or feared for it. Vampires are but another thing ignorant people need to hate in order to keep their lives going, and Callie knows this, yet can't help getting wound up when shoved in said situation. Being the pacifist that she is, she doesn't understand why the supernatural and humans shouldn't just coexist together in peace and tranquility;
history
Children grew up with the idea that their parents wanted the best for them, through all odds. To Callie Moore, however, it was a very different fairytale picture. At the age of three, she was admitted into foster care after her parents were deemed unsuitable parents as Mr. Watson after far too many selfish acts of irresponsibility.In reality, Barry and Judy Watson were unprepared to enter the tumultuous and terrifying world of parenthood. Modern day hippies, the only real duty they were determined to accomplish was saving the planet, no matter how weighty the cost. The Watsons had dedicated their entire life and every precious moment of their time taking radical actions in the name of the planet. Such activity went by the name of eco terrorism, and consisted in the spreading of fear and turmoil across the globe asto send a universal message: screw the planet up, and we'll screw you up. Eco terrorism, although with more noble intentions than that that was traditionally labelled such actions, has the same disastrous consequences. As the Watson began their careers as bomb makers, their beautiful toddler was growing into a young woman.
You would expect them to have some remorse for abondoning their child, but in reality, they had succumbed to such a degree to their cause, that they couldn't imagine their life with her. Due to Callie's boisterous childhood fantasies, however, at the age of sixteen, she decided to put it upon herself to fulfill her childhood fairytale and go in search of the parents who wanted little to nothing to do with her. Needless to say that after formal gestures of approval and a few awkward stares, they sent her packing; That night, after too many sorrowful drinks,she found herself in the hands of a stranger, only to wake up one morning to find four corpses each drained of blood laying lifeless nearby. Disoriented and not knowing what to do with herself, she soon discovered the secrets of her condition and learnt that life as a vampire wasn't the worst thing that could happen to a girl like her.
Since then, Callie had learnt to love the people who took her in so happily. She began to interest herself in photography, thanks to surrogate family's collection of old postcards post scriptumed from different times, and began to see that, no matter what the date, it always held its own beauty and charm. Callie,fond of how a difference of perspective could alter the entire signficance of the image in question, decided to do something about it. Transfering to Jamerson Fall's university with a major in photography she hopes to live every moment of her immortality. She chose Jamerson Falls for obvious reasons and hopes to live a normal life in the town -- or as normal as can be while staying true to her new state of being.

Grabbing a few fruit loops and what looked like orange juice, she sprinted out into the open sunny air, cursing the heavens for the weather. At least if it was pouring cats and dogs, she would feel a little more irked at the thought of sacrificing her day to listen to some bald guy who was probably the age of her great grandfather tell them about the rudiments of sketching. See, that was the funny thing about Callie. Her spontaneity sometimes – often -- caught up with her. Indeed, during that one morning where she had enrolled online for her first course, it didn’t hit her that having an AM class on a Saturday morning would be the death of her, and her plans for the summer. Now, habitually, she wouldn’t care about being an hour or two late for her first class, but for the first time in her life, she was actually doing something she loved in an institute that encouraged it. Having spent the last while in university life majoring in something that she just didn’t feel comfortable with, majoring in photography with other individuals who truly cared for the subject seemed like a gift she wasn’t about to underrate. She knew that, eventually, once it all became a routine in her life, she would just move onto the next best thing, like most things in her life, but for now, it gave her the will to run half way through campus, veering through teachers and students alike, in order to head to the art centre, not having the convenience of having any other form of transportation but her two slender legs.
Little did she know that it was such a huge campus, with such singular attributes. So, out came her most prized possession, causing her to forget everything she had spent the last twenty minutes worrying over. Photography was one of the rare elements of her life that seemed to be never changing. If she was hurt, or angry, or jubilant, she would always have that one companion in her life: the digital Kodak camera that caught every element of the life around her. So, as she stood there, not caring that she was supposed to be cooped up in a classroom learning about the techniques of drawing, suddenly the reason why she had worked her ass off on her portfolio came back to her. The truth was, everyone had something they couldn’t see themselves not doing; Whether it be writing to purge ones emotions, turning to music when the words you were too afraid to utter which coincidently were so well put in a song, or in any other form of self expressionist art; All people need to know that they had a way of expressing what they feared no one would ever take the time to understand. As she stood there, capturing the simple beauties that nature had to offer, she reminded herself why she was here: to fulfill herself the only way she knew how, and that was through the intricacies of photography.
Tearing herself from the spectacle that were the infinite potential landscapes that she could have lavished it, she kept mumbling herself that it would be the death of her. Brain telling her to get to class, knowing subconsciously that she had enough time afterwards to explore her new playground, she finally arrived to the lecture hall, where she thought the class to have finally started. Quietly stumbling through the doors, Callie found her way in the back, before blushing at her impoliteness. “Oh hey, um, do you know what he’s going on about?” she yawned , running around hand through her brown tendrils of hair, before eyeing her ‘doodling’, or potential works of art curiously. “Callie,” she introduced bubbly, awarding her with irritated glances from the students and an exasperated glower on her part. And here she thought students of the liberal arts would be liberal enough to let freedom of speech not be a federal crime.
