The scent of blood was appealing to the redheaded woman as she lapped up the blood from a dead man's neck. The people of New Jersey had a different taste to those in her state of New York and it was nice to have the new flavor slide down her throat. Fresh kills were always the best and she wasn't a messy eater, always striking when the victim wasn't expecting it and draining them dry as she covered their mouth with her hand so that they couldn't scream. As much fun as it was to be in trouble, she didn't need it all the time. If she wanted trouble then she would be the one starting it, not letting a worthless human do it for her.
Once the man in her hands had ben drained she lifted his body with ease and dropped it in a trash can, no doubt the person who it belonged to was going to get a big shock when they opened it. Her hand slammed the lid down before she walked away, her movements resembling that of a feline creature. A smirk was on her face as she put one foot in front of the other and gracefully strolled down the streets, her fiery hair blowing in the breeze as the moonlight lit up the area. The female knew where she was headed; she had been there once before back when there was just a king. Things were different now though.
The king had a wife now and, from what the female had heard, she was quite a fascinating person. Human emotions getting in the way of her duties. Now that was a new one. She had heard a lot of stories in her time but this one had made her laugh as soon as she had been informed about it. No doubt a magister would visit the New Jersey monarchs soon, if one hadn't already, and that was going to cause a few sparks... but she couldn't help but want to get an inside view on things. See how it all played out and what was really happening. Maybe she could even get the bitch to bow for her and become her maid for as long as she stayed with these people. Now that would be amusing.
Once at the manor she pushed open the main doors with both of her hands and just walked in as though the place belonged to her. "Bow down people, your highness as arrived!"

Corbin had been showing one of the new servants around when she head an ungodly noise. The queen of New York for lack of better words was just as loud and annoying as her gaudy jewelry and extravagant clothes. Corbin gave a sigh, as if dealing with an attention seeking child. The other servants looked at Corbin for some kind of permission wondering what it exactly meant for two queens to be in the same room. "We weren't expecting you Clarice. If I had know I would have gotten some fresh blood. I'm afraid your going to have to only settle for some old bottles of it,"she remarked with a less then thrilled tone. Her eyes wandered back to the paper she was signing before handing it to the servant to take to Heath to inspect. Some vampires had killed a bunch of the homeless, they needed to watch the situation closely after the murders.
"What do I owe this occasion?"Her thin black heels tapped slightly on the marble beneath her feet as she glided over to where Claire was. A professional manner was about the only way she could address the queen of New York. She always held her own when dealing with any of the other monarchs, it was just common curtsey. Although at the back of her mind she wandered if she was now face to face with one of her accusers.

"Someone get me a drink before I snap each of your necks." The female glanced at each of the servants before taking a small mirror and tube of red lipstick out of her pocket, applying a layer before putting them away and looking around at the servants. Then she heard a soft voice speaking to her and instantly her eyes rolled before she glanced over at the other queen, "We weren't expecting you Clarice. If I had known I would have gotten some fresh blood. I'm afraid your going to have to only settle for some old bottles of it." The female's face was not impressed as she now practically glared at the younger woman that was now passing a sheet of paper to one of the servants. "Good job that I took the time to have a little snack on the way here, isn't it?" Her voice was harsh as she spoke, her eyes almost trying to penetrate that soul of the younger woman that was before her.
"What do I owe this occasion?" A small, shrill, laughter escaped her lips as the younger queen walked towards her. As professional as the little queen was, she was not doing much to keep in Clarice's good books. In fact, it seemed like she had a death wish with the way she was talking. Professional or not, the attitude wasn't appreciated. "So full of yourself, aren't you sweetie? Perhaps I am here to visit the King or maybe i'm here for another reason?" She circled the younger queen a few times before standing in front of her again, almost face to face, her hand reaching up and flicking Corbin's hair slightly. "You'd think a Queen would at least try to impress." Her words were aimed to mock the way that Corbin looked compared to her. She was the real queen in the room and Corbin, at least in her opinion, was just some poor person that the King had pitied.
"So where is your darling husband? I bet he would be pleased to see me." Clarice stared at the woman in front of her with a cold glare as a smirk spread across her face again. It was fun to tease people; especially considering she saw everyone as being weaker than her. "Wait... He'd be busy filling in paperwork because of the little incident that took place here. What was it again, entertainment?" Another shrill laugh escaped her mouth as she tapped her hand against Corbin's cheek, "couldn't have been you though, could it? You don't seem like the type to kill." Once again she was mocking the younger queen, mocking the fact that her human emotions were getting in the way of her vampire side. Oh how pathetic this woman was to her.

"So full of yourself, aren't you sweetie? Perhaps I am here to visit the King or maybe I'm here for another reason? You'd think a Queen would at least try to impress." The queen's eyes followed her visitors with every move as she suppressed the low growl from crawling up her throat and out of her mouth. Corbin was aware that Clarice was picking and prodding, trying to find the right thing to set her off."So where is your darling husband? I bet he would be pleased to see me. Wait... He'd be busy filling in paperwork because of the little incident that took place here. What was it again, entertainment?" Her eyes narrowed as her lips parted. "That event that took place at my party wasn't something that I planned."her professionalism never weaved as she keep her mind focused. She wasn't going to let Clarice get to her. "couldn't have been you though, could it? You don't seem like the type to kill."
There it was, an attack against her emotions. So it was true, she was the laughing stalk of the vampire monarch. The others saw her as weak, unable to kill. Her eyes darkened as they locked with Clarice's. Her pearly white teeth now sporting her fangs as a bit of anger surfaced. She was going to prove them all wrong. Corbin refused to be put to death. "Sorry to rain on your glamorous and overrated parade but I have killed plenty." she hissed. Who did this woman think she was? She had no right!!

Clarice's eyes just stayed fixed on Corbin, her eyes getting darker just as the younger queen's did. If this turned nasty then things certainly weren't going to be pretty. The queen's eyebrows lifted slightly as she saw the fangs in Corbin's mouth extend, the smirk on her own face still in place as she knew that the younger queen was starting to get a little angry. Good, that would be fun. "Sorry to rain on your glamorous and overrated parade but I have killed plenty." The hissed words made the queen laugh again and she tapped Corbin's face once again, the scenario that she was in just amusing her, "why don't you just be a pretty little thing and go find me something to drink."
Her feline movements were sharper now as she strolled through the mansion and into the lounge, once there she took a seat on the couch and glanced around. "Who decorated this place, a chimp?" She snickered slightly before an expression of disgust came on her face, "I suppose it was your doing. It's clear you don't have a good taste in things." Suddenly the queen stood up and pushed Corbin down onto the couch before laughing again and moving at vampire speed to the ballroom. "Oh, that smells good. I can only imagine what it was like when it was fresh."
The scent of the blood was still in the air, lingering around the room. It always did after a kill. The scent could last for days unless the blood had been drained, and with this being a murder investigation then that was highly unlikely. The thirst for blood was hard for her to ignore and before she knew it Clarice had her hand over one of the servant's mouth and her fangs deep in his neck. Her tongue lapped up the red liquid as it poured into her mouth and down her throat; enjoying the taste. Then before she knew it she was throwing the body to one side. "Now that was good!"

"why don't you just be a pretty little thing and go find me something to drink."The queen had never been ordered around before. It was clear that Clarice was trying to let her know exactly what she though of her. Corbin was nothing more then a servant, a stepping stone. "Who decorated this place, a chimp? I suppose it was your doing. It's clear you don't have a good taste in things." Corbin bit her tongue as she watched the queen before being pushed into the couch.
Clarice didn't stop with her insults. Each tone of mockery was returned with an increasing rumble building in Corbin's throat. It wasn't till she smelt blood that things snapped and Corbin found herself holding the queen by the throat before slamming her into the marble tiles below her feet. Corbin pressed down on her body with the back of her heel. Leaning down slightly the young queen lock eyes. Cold and undead hands still grasping her throat. "How dare you come into my house and insult me like that, on top of all that you managed to kill one of my staff. I don't appreciate it in the least bit you pathetic tramp."

The queen found her throat being gripped before she was slammed into the marble floor, the impact of it causing the marble underneath her to crack. A low groan escaped her lips as the younger queen pressed down on her with her heel and stared into her eyes, still grasping onto her throat. "How dare you come into my house and insult me like that, on top of all that you managed to kill one of my staff. I don't appreciate it in the least bit you pathetic tramp." Her eyes stayed fixed on the younger queen's as she put her own hands on Corbin's arms and used very little of her strength to move them enough so the hands let go off her throat.
Then in an instant the queen of New York grabbed hold of Corbin's throat, gripping it tightly, and slammed her into one of the walls, her eyes staring deep into the younger female's. "Unless you want that pretty little face of yours to be messed up, I suggest you keep your mouth shut." She slapped the right cheek of Corbin, allowing her nails to drag through the skin after the impact, before throwing her to one side. "I am a lot older than you, sweetie. I could kill you in a heartbeat. I would suggest that you treat me with respect and I shall try to do the best I can with you." A small smirk flickered across her face and then suddenly she was gone.
Clarice pushed open the door to the kitchens and walked inside, "I want a bottle of human blood in my hands within five seconds! Get moving!" The staff just stared at her and she looked at each one of them with her eyebrows furrowed, "did I stutter or are you all just stupid?!" A low growl escaped her as one of the female cooks stepped forward and spoke up, "with all due respect, we only serve Queen Corbin, Miss..." Her eyebrows raised and before anyone knew it she had hold of the cook's hair and had one of the stoves turned on to full, "you want to say that again?" The female cook gulped but nevertheless repeated her previous statement. The consequences of which left her holding her face and screaming as she ran out of the room. "anyone else want to refuse my orders?"

Corbin found herself on the ground, cradling her cheek as it slowly healed itself with a sharp sting. Her eyes only caught the faint blur before Clarice was gone. There was a scream and Corbin appeared in the kitchen with a growl. It wasn't hard to smell what had just happened, the staff looked horrified and Corbin's eye fixed on Clarice once more."Get out of the kitchen now." she growled before shoving a bottle of blood against her chest. In one swift motion she was back in the entry way with Clarice."I want you out of my house," the young queen growled, trying to remain as authoritative as possible.
She knew that Clarice was capable of a lot of things but as of right now her anger was giving her strength. This red headed queen had walked into her territory and threatened her staff. The last thing Corbin wanted to do was lose it, prove to the rest of the mansion that she deserved true death. Keeping her human emotions in balance she shoved the queen out the door and locked it. Corbin gave a sigh as she leaned against the door. It was then, that she started to realize the paper work she would have to fill out given that a staff member was dead and another badly injured. "Bitch..." she said under her breath as she pushed off the door and walked slowly back to the kitchen straightening her dress..

Clarice spuns around in time to see Corbin staring at her, once again the older of the pair had a smirk on her face and was finding all of this rather amusing. "Get out of the kitchen now." A bottle of blood was shoved into her chest and then before she knew it they were by the entrance to the mansion. "I want you out of my house," Queen Clarice practically hissed at Corbin as her anger began to rise and her fangs extended as she stared into the eyes of the younger queen, trying to break her down. Clarice was far older than Corbin and therefore more powerful and if she wanted to then it would be easy to execute this pathetic being that was before her. Before she had time to do anything though she was pushed out of the door and she heard the lock click. Another hiss escaped her lips as she banged on the door, "you have no right to throw me out of the King's home, you pathetic worm!"
Within seconds she was at the back of the mansion, strolling in through the back door with her feline movements being sharper than ever, her fists clenched as her face showed the anger that she was feeling. Suddenly she was out in the hallway staring at the younger queen, "how dare you treat me like that?!" Once again Clarice hissed as she walked forward. "how dare you think you are better than me. You were nothing when the King took you as his own and you are nothing now." If Corbin was going to throw her out of the mansion then Clarice was going to play dirty and she knew one certain way to hurt any vampire that wasn't a coldhearted bitch, "what is it like to not be able to have a nice little family? How much does it hurt you to know that you will never have a child growing inside you and that you will never be a mother?"
The queen got face to face with the younger female, staring deep into her eyes. Trying to break into her soul and into her emotions. She wanted the younger queen to break down and be the new gossip for the staff that worked for her. Clarice wanted the staff to see Corbin for the pathetic being she was. "I intend to stay here until the King throws me out. It looks like he needs professional help with running this state anyway. Shame you can't give him the family he wants or be a good wife."

"how dare you treat me like that?! how dare you think you are better than me. You were nothing when the King took you as his own and you are nothing now." Corbin didn't say a word, she just stared back at the women she had just unsuccessfully thrown out. There were no words to describe the feeling of anger deep inside of her now,"what is it like to not be able to have a nice little family? How much does it hurt you to know that you will never have a child growing inside you and that you will never be a mother?"
Her eyes soften slightly knowing that those words hurt. More then anything in the world she wanted to have a child. She had dreamed of that moment of starting a family with Heath when she was still human. Unfortunately for her she was never aware that Heath had been a vampire that whole time and the chances of that happening weren't even in existence to begin with. "I intend to stay here until the King throws me out. It looks like he needs professional help with running this state anyway. Shame you can't give him the family he wants or be a good wife." Corbin growled as she looked up at Clarice. "None of that is my fault." she could feel that she was on the verge of tears.

It was quite clear that Corbin was breaking down slowly and that she was close to crying, and that was what pleased Clarice the most. Her game was working, she was bringing out the human emotions that the younger queen had and exploiting them to the world, allowing everyone to see just how weak the Halloway monarch was. It was satisfying to know that if she did manage to break Corbin down until she was nothing but a mess then the magisters and other monarchs would have no choice but to sentence her to death; after all, a queen needs to be strong and determined. "None of that is my fault," the younger queen was trying to be brave and put up an act but Clarice saw straight through it, straight to the very weakness of this pathetic being that stood in front of her. Soon the Halloways would be no more; the queen would break down and be sentenced to death, Heathcliffe would rebel and also be sentenced to death, and as for the little redhead they called a daughter, killing her would be a mercy.
Clarice circled the younger queen, her feline movements showing just how dangerous she could really be. She moved like a feline creature and just like a large wild cat, she pounced for the kill. Tearing people apart, metaphorically as well as literally, was her speciality and right now she was having fun toying with Corbin. "I suppose it's the king's fault?" She stood in front of the young queen and flicked some of Corbin's hair with her hand as she gave a fake pout, "did the mean old king take away your virginity and your life? Poor little Corbin." With vampire speed and a little grace she moved behind the young woman, her hands on Corbin's shoulders as she pressed her body into Corbin's back, "did you get your hopes up? Did you think that you finally had a chance to be a mother?" A smirk crosses her lips, "silly little girl. What child wants you as a mother?"
Clarice let go off the young queen and stepped away from her, once again walking around with feline movements as she made her way up the stairs. "So, is the king in the bedroom all ready and waiting for a real woman?" She smirks again as she teases Corbin, tryin to get under her skin as well as break her down. "I bet he's bored of you by now, just keeping you around out of pity. The poor lonely girl that had her dreams taken from her. Never able to have a child of your own or have that bond only mothers can feel. Isn't it such a shame." Winking she strolled along the corridor and into the young queen's study, glancing around as she waited for her prey to arrive at the room.

She kept tearing and tearing at her with each of her words. All of them were aimed for her undead heart. This attempt probably seemed impossible since Corbin's no longer beat, but because of the emotional state that Corbin often found herself it was the best way to attack her. She could feel the tears just screaming to be released. As a lump formed in her throat she closed her eyes and tried to control things before following her guest scent up the stairs and to her office. This was probably what the b***h wanted but Corbin would try everything in her power to get her out of her home.
"You need to leave now..." she growled from the doorway once more. "You aren't welcomed here by anyone, not even my husband. If you think he would ever consider a tramp like you, you are completely out of your mind!" she hissed. Her crimson eyes followed her cat like movements every step of the way as her fist clenched. She wasn't pleased. This women needed to leave her house and now. "You know nothing about my life or my abilities! How dare you stand there and make judgements about me!" [/blockquote][/size]

"You need to leave now..." Clarice lifted her head slightly but didn't respond in any way to what was said, she didn't care what Corbin thought. "You aren't welcomed here by anyone, not even my husband. If you think he would ever consider a tramp like you, you are completely out of your mind!" A smirk crossed her lips once more, "better than being with someone that doesn't know how to control herself." She walked around the room, examining things, never looking at the other queen. Her aim was to make her spiral out of control and show her human side, not looking at her was a way to do that as it was almost as though she was ignoring her, like Corbin wasn't worth the attention; that being said, Clarice didn't think Corbin was worth any attention. In the eyes of the queen, the younger woman was dirt. Plain and simple.
"You know nothing about my life or my abilities! How dare you stand there and make judgements about me!" The queen raises her head more and turns to look at Corbin, anger starting to show a little in them both. "your ability to have human emotions? You really are pathetic." She walks up to the young queen, her eyes staring into hers, "you can't have children of your own so you steal another person's daughter. You let your emotions get in the way, putting stress on the king and making him hate you. Nice ability." Her hand touches Corbin's cheek before she smirks and pushes the young queen out of the door and into the hallway. "You are weak and pathetic! The king doesn't love you he only stays with you out of pity! You are nothing but dirt and all you are good for is crying and being a pathetic toy."
Clarice keeps pushing the young queen until they get to the stairs, at which point she grabs Corbin's throat and lifts her of the ground slightly, "you're not so tough now, are you?" Yet another smirk creeps on her face as she dangles the young woman over the edge of the top step. "Don't worry, you can heal." Her hand let go of the younger queen and she took a step back, a massive grin on her face as she rubbed her hands together and then ran to the bottom of the staircase with her vampire speed. Her foot tapped on the floor as she closed her eyes and waited for what was to come. It certainly was fun to do this, especially to someone that was supposed to be respected.

"better than being with someone that doesn't know how to control herself." It wasn't a surprise now that the queen was avoiding eye contact with her. Corbin felt that whatever words she said merely dropped to the floor when Clarice was around. It was just as useless as taking to a wall. "your ability to have human emotions? You really are pathetic.you can't have children of your own so you steal another person's daughter. You let your emotions get in the way, putting stress on the king and making him hate you. Nice ability."
Corbin's eyes widened as she pushed her out the door with such a great force, catching her completely off guard."You are weak and pathetic! The king doesn't love you he only stays with you out of pity! You are nothing but dirt and all you are good for is crying and being a pathetic toy."The pushing continued before her throat was soon in the queen's grasp."you're not so tough now, are you?" In a matter of seconds her body met the ground with such force that her bones snapped as the marble floor and a cry of agony was let out as she tried hard to hold back the tears. Her emotions were now slowly seeping through. "Don't worry, you can heal." The marble was now cracked and Corbin was sure it would take a while to replace the floors.
Stumbling to her feet again she felt the tears. They weren't a whole lot but the combination of pain and hurtful words had finally caused her to snap emotionally. "You bitch!!" she growled stumbling backward to the wall in order to hold herself up as she healed some more. There wasn't anything that Corbin could do. She had tried everything but yet Clarice wasn't going to leave. It was the realization of how hopeless she was, and how true the other queen's words had been that she finally allowed more and more tears to flow. This display of her weakness only made her lose it more. The human part of her now coming out as full force.

Clarice heard the cracking of the marble and opened her eyes, staring at Corbin as she stumbled to her feet and began to cry tears of blood. It was so satifying for her to see the young queen break down and a smirk crossed her lips once more, this time looking more sinister and almost as though she had her next move already planned. Which she did, but she was going to save it for a little while. "You bitch!!" Clarice's head tilted slightly as she watched the young queen stumble into a wall, breaking down more and more. "As I said, pathetic." Her feline movements take her to Corbin, her eyes staring into the young queen's, "death would be a blessing for a weak person such as yourself. You're not worthy of being a vampire, let alone a monarch of the species. You disgust me and you disgust your husband."
Her hand grabbed Corbin's arm and with one swift movement she snapped the bone just like a twig. "I'm not leaving, so you better get used to this." Her eyes scanned around as she noticed that the servants were all flocking around, wondering what was going on, each of them in shock as they saw what was happening to Corbin. "Leave her alone." Her head snapped to the side as she focused on the man that had spoke, a waiter by the look of his suit, her attention being drawn away from Corbin as her anger came to the surface again and she pounced at him, knocking him to the ground as her fangs dug into his neck and she drained him of his blood, leaving his corpse on the floor. That was when the true nature of Clarice finally began to show. All the other things she had done, burning the woman's face and tormenting Corbin, that was nothing compared to what happened next.
The queen's hands took hold of two people's necks and she slammed their heads together, smashing their skulls open before throwing them over her shoulder at the wall. Then she snapped the neck of another man before ripping another person's arm off... And then her eyes fixed on the young queen again and she slowly walked towards her, one foot in front of the other, before finally reaching her. "This is what happens when someone pisses me off. Next time it'll be you getting ripped apart. Understand?"
