Her finger tightly wrapped around his as she smiled and pulled her small frame closer to him. She felt safe when he was by her side and nothing could take that away from her. There hadn't been a moment in her undead life like this. All this time she had been on her own, fending for herself and trying to get by another day without being staked or burned to death. None of that mattered now. Luke was her strength and always would be. They would spend forever getting to know each other and she hoped that they wouldn't drive each other crazy.
Kissing his cheek softly she drew back from him slightly and pulled him forward as they approached the end of the prier. "I would suggest that we sit here until sunrise but I would rather not burn ourselves to death."She looked back at him with a smirk and her eyes glistened slightly in the moonlight. "The moon will be our sun....I always thought it was much better anyway. She doesn't know its beauty really;just get out shined by the sun and thinks it sucks cause it surrounded by darkness..." she said with a slight sigh.
It all sounded corny but sometimes she often found herself connecting with the moon. There really wasn't much beauty identified with being a vampire other then those traits used to deceive. The moonlight could illuminant the way for some but most saw the night as a time over shadowed by evil. That of course was when all the Vamps were free to roam the streets. The sun was connected to so many good, while the moon seemed to bring out the bad. Monsters were ruled by the moon and the "good" walks around in the sun. Well there were a few exceptions but the humans hardly knew anything other then the fact vampires were out there.

When Maggie kissed his cheek, it felt like there was nothing in this world that he could not do. Her touch made him feel invincible and every time he was near her it felt like a new breath was put into him, making that spark and love that he had always felt for her grow that little bit more. They approached the end of the pier, their first date as a couple finally happening after all the years Luke had spent wanting her by his side as his girl, the moonlight shining down on them as though they were under a spotlight and all the focus of the world was on them two. "I would suggest that we sit here until sunrise but I would rather not burn ourselves to death." At the best of times Maggie knew exactly the right thing to say; sitting there until sunrise would be beautiful but deadly. Just like a certain little vampire. "The moon will be our sun....I always thought it was much better anyway. She doesn't know its beauty really; just get out shined by the sun and thinks it sucks cause it surrounded by darkness..."
Luke looked at her and raised an eyebrow after she had spoke. Perhaps this wasn't one of those times when she knew what to say without making things morbid. "The moon is a symbol of the fact there is always a light in the darkness. No matter how bad things get, there's always that light which guides you through." He took hold of her hand and pulled her close, quickly putting his other hand on her waist as he began to take her into a ballroom dance right there and then on the pier, singing 'Moondance' as he stared lovingly into her eyes; "Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance, with the stars up above in your eyes. A fantabulous night to make romance, 'neath the cover of October skies..."

"The moon is a symbol of the fact there is always a light in the darkness. No matter how bad things get, there's always that light which guides you through." Maggie gave a soft smile as she looked into Luke's eyes. She tossed the words around in her head a few times before he began to sing, guiding her through the night smoothly with a dance. "Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance, with the stars up above in your eyes. A fantabulous night to make romance, 'neath the cover of October skies..." Her laughter chimed through the night as she pulled herself closer to him and rested her head on his chest allowing him to guide her feet across the pier. She closed her eyes and hummed along with his words as she took in that moment, trying her best to ingrain it in her memory.
After the dance was finished her lifted her head and opened her eyes to see Luke peering down at her. She smiled and pushed back a few of her blonde curls before standing on her toes to plant another kiss on his lips. She was such a small and fragile thing. She hardly looked like the killer she had recently been assigned to be. "I used to think about you....after you left that was all I could think about. I want to belong to you fully, but I know that those bonds have been broken by the king." she stroked his cheek as her eyes darkened with despair. She felt trapped. "Tonight you belong to me though, just like every night I wondered where you were." she smiled before she guided him along the pier and began to sing a song that had become popular in 1926, a few years after her transformation.
i know (i know) you belong to somebody new but tonight you belong to me although (although) we're apart you're part of my heart and tonight you belong to me...
Song
ooc: yes, the song really was written in 1926. Also I know the lyrics don't really fit the moment but keep in mind this was what she used to sing when she thought of luke all those years. She thought he had left and was with someone else. It's more remembering the past type thing and enjoy that she is his.

They finished dancing and Luke stared down at her, loving her with all of his heart. Then she kissed him again and he couldn't help but smile, glad that they were together at last. Luke had never stopped thinking about her since that night they had met, he loved her so much. "I used to think about you....after you left that was all I could think about. I want to belong to you fully, but I know that those bonds have been broken by the king." She was right, as much as he wanted her to be wrong, he knew she belonged to the king and until he gave Maggie her freedom back then the bond they shared would only be as lovers; they wouldn't have the other connections. "Tonight you belong to me though, just like every night I wondered where you were."
He listened as she sang, holding her close to him as he took in the moment. He didn't want this to end. He wanted his girl to be with him forever. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he gently swayed with her, a small idea forming in his mind, "i'll visit the queen. I will make her a deal that I will serve her if she will get permission for us to be together." He looks into her eyes and puts a finger on her soft lips, "no arguing. I've made up my mind." After smiling for a second he pulls her into a passionate kiss, holding her close to him.

Maggie wanted to protest but Luke was one step ahead of her. She could only give a slight groan, followed by a roll of her eyes before she was pulled into a passionate kiss. His kisses made her melt and forget about things. He probably could get away with murder with lips like that. Well he did get away with murder, and so did she. Ah, the life a vampire. It certainly was different from any other life. There was so much controversy and blood. Maggie supposed that is why she liked it. She had never been one for following rules. Maggie had always been a rebel.
"Technically I don't have to follow your orders considering our bonds were broken by the king. I can sit here and protest until you give into my distress and beauty Mr. Johnson." She gave a playful smile as she looked into his eyes before giving a sigh. "What on earth did you do all those years without me?" She wondered how things had been for him. She had lived her days as a vampire to the fullest, trying hard to push the memories of her creator to the back of her mind. "The sixties and seventies were some of the best years for me. With all those drugs filling the year it was easy to numb the pain. There was some damn good music then too."

"Technically I don't have to follow your orders considering our bonds were broken by the king. I can sit here and protest until you give into my distress and beauty Mr. Johnson." He stared at her and admired her smile, loving her very much and doing everything that he could to not kiss her lips again, watching them move as she spoke again, "What on earth did you do all those years without me?" Truth was that Luke didn't want to think about those years. Fighting in the second world war, alongside King Heathcliffe, spending time after searching for Maggie... Not to mention the one time a wolf nearly killed him. He wanted to forget the past but he wouldn't be able to ever move on from his history.
"The sixties and seventies were some of the best years for me. With all those drugs filling the year it was easy to numb the pain. There was some damn good music then too." He frowned a little and stared at her, even the sixties were a bad time for him. "November the twenty-second in ninteen sixty-three, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I will never forget that day." Stepping back a little his eyes looked away, "I had been assigned to follow and watch, to scan the area with my senses and destroy any dangers. I failed. He was shot dead because I failed him and didn't sense anything." His eyes looked back at her, "I may be badass and enjoy the thrill of this life but until the year of sixty-five I was the bodyguard for anyone that needed me. I don't know why but I was and it was all I knew at the time."

The sadness in his eyes wasn't hard to miss. He had been weighted down by a lot of pain over the years. "Your lucky you are a vampire. All this worry and pain would age you." she said softly placing her hand on his cheek. "Babe all of that is in the past. You need to let it go or it will make you miss everything that is important to you. I missed so many years upset about how I left the family. It's guilt I have always held on to." her eyes softened as she looked into his. She loved him and it hurt to see him so upset. Not knowing what else to say she kissed him again and held him close. "I love you so much." she said wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. She didn't want to let him go and she wanted to fix him, to take away all the pain.
"Are you sure you want to belong to the queen? No offense but I hear she is a bit of a bitch." Maggie smirked as she looked into his eyes. "Either way It would be nice to see you more. We could even make love in the royal bedroom." she winked. There was no boundary that Maggie wouldn't push.
