[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] hey guys. my name is randy alan dalton, but you can call me randy. everyone else does, so i guess you can too. i'm twenty eight years young, and if it isn't already obvious, i'm a male. it should be. i consider myself to be straight, for those that want to know what isn't so obvious is the fact that i'm a vampire, but you can keep that a secret for now. |
personality
Randy is generally down to earth and gentle for a vampire. He's loyal and compassionate but is stubborn and he tends to get easily jealous depending on the situation, but mostly when it comes to a pretty girl. He can be shy around females of any species. Once his mind is set on something, he rarely changes his mind. He is determined and loyal. He is the type to go out of his way to help those in need, including humans. He isn't the type to hate anyone. He can be impulsive and jump to conclusions alot but once he realizes his mistake, he will apologize, though it's a bit hard for him to do so. On occasion he hears things that he wants to, but then he'll try and work out any problem he might have. Randy is the type of person that can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. He can fight well, but only when deemed necessary.
Randy thinks its a good idea for vampires to be out in the open. He feels that the more the pulic knows about a particular species, the less frightened they will be if the ever bump into one. To him, knowledge is the best thing. Some humans probably won't see it that way, that they'll hate anything out of the ordinary regardless of how much info is put out there. He understands this, though tries hard not to hold it against them, but ignorance can be highly annoying. He won't kill humans for blood, instead uses blood banks. He would never intentionally harm a human.
history
Luke knew that he was unique growing up. He had odd cravings and enjoyed rare steaks and food.
In school, grammar/high school, it was pretty much the same. He tried to get along with other kids, but for some reason, he always ended up being the 'outsider' simply because he could do things most kids couldn't. He felt alienated and felt he was some kind of freak.
At the age of 14, his parents pulled him aside and finally told him he was a vampire. They were vampires as well, but didn't kill humans to get the blood. They acquired blood from the blood banks and drank it that way. They had a whole freezer full of blood they've accumulated over the years. They had instilled in him that killing a human was wrong and taboo. Howeve, there were some vampires that didn't follow their way of thinking. There were some out there that happily killed innocent humans.
His niece, Emma , lives in New York. He often keeps in contact with him frequently. They're very close. About a month ago, Luke recieved a call stating that Emma's parents were killed in a car crash. Being he was the next of kin, Emma was sent to live with him. She knows about him and what he is.
Luke was never married and works as an EMT with the local hospital. He enjoys helping humans very much. He decided that the best way to deal with the humans, was to interact and show them that some vampires were good honest working people that not all of them were monsters.

His wheat brown hair was neatly brushed back, his blue eyes were behind a pair of thin framed glasses. He was wearing a pair of dark blue slacks and a powder blue shirt, which held his name tag. One the sleeves were the EMT patches and the city patches. He checked his messages. Emma had left a text message. She had stayed home earlie because she had a bout of depression. She wanted Luke to pick up her favorite movie from Blockbuster. He immediately texted back that he would and if she wanted some of her favorite ice cream. She did.
His heart went out to Emma. She'd just lost her parents a month ago. She still had bouts of depression that hit her. It was only normal. Luke did his best to be there for her and comfort her as best he could. Growing up, she had become very close to him. Now, he considered her a daughter.
Luke gently slipped his blackberry back into his pocket and sat on the back of the ambulance on the chrome bumper that jutted out a bit. The sky was lovely blue color, fluffy white clouds drifted lazil across. He looked up and sighed.
He missed his sister too terribly. She and he were close too and apparently, the connection had stayed and materialized with Emma. Up until that month, Luke's sister was alive and well. Now, she was gone. Emma reminded him so much of her. He swallowed, causing his Adams apple to bob slightly. A gentle breeze brought the scent of plants and medicinal from the ER entrance every time the doors opened.
