------------- VAMPIRE GUIDE
[/size]
our vampires are modeled off the true blood vampires with some slight modifications.
Immortal and undead beings that were once human. The primary characteristic being their need to drink blood to survive.
Becoming a Vampire
* A vampire must drain a human to near death before feeding the human his or her blood. The maker then buries him/herself with his/her creation for three days, it is then that the transformation takes place and they are reborn as a vampire.
Common Facts
* Vampires are immortal beings; which means that they do not age and can potentially live forever.
* As the vampires age increases so does their speed and heightened senses, only with their strength. Their resistance to silver does not improve with age, nor does their resistance to sunlight. In fact the older the vampire the quicker they die when exposed to sunlight.
With that being said vampires must bury themselves and sleep during the day.
* Vampires drink human blood. Although consuming human food and drink is avoided by most vamps because of the fowl taste, it is possible as long as they consume human blood not long after. Too much human food or drink without blood can slowly poison them.
Appearance
Vampires appear as they were when they were changed. Their skin is slightly paler and they have retractable fangs. Vampires appear extremely beautiful and graceful to humans. This is part of their charm and ability to "glamour" humans into various things.
Powers & Abilities
Strength: A vampire's strength gets stronger with age. Newborns are weaker than older and more experienced vampires.
Speed: Vampires are faster than humans. No human can outrun them. Newborns aren't as fast as older vampires. A vampires speed often resembles a blur to humans. Vampires also have the ability to easily sneak up on people without being detected.
Healing Factor: Vampires heal fast when injured except in cases of being (staked, burned by the sun, etc)
Glamour: Vampires glamour their victims to do their bidding, force them to tell the truth and even make them forget about any recent events. It can even be used to gain access into a home.
Senses: They can hear, see, and smell much better then humans. Their blood has the ability to allow humans/shifters/witches/psychics to experience things as well. If a were gets hold of a vampire's blood they can become just as strong as a vampire.
Flight: Some vampires are known to fly, others are known to hover.
Calling a Progeny: Vampires have the ability to contact their creation. Vampires have a strong bond between their creator/creation. They are able to sense and feel where the other is and what is happening to them.
Voice Disguising: There are some vampires that can disguise their voices and make them sound like other people.
Weaknesses
Sunlight: Vampires will die if in contact with sunlight. The younger the vampire the longer it takes.
Wooden Stake: If a vampire is staked they are instantly killed. Contrary to common belief, the explode rather than turn to dust.
Silver: Vampires can't touch silver without being burned.
Fire: If trapped in fire their body break down and turns into a red goo.
Entry to homes: Vampires have to be invited into homes in order to enter them. Invitations can be revoked.
Vampire Monarch
In the US each State is governed by a Vampire King/Queen or both. The Vampire Monarchy is in place to keep the peace between the spices and keep the vampires in line and not give the rest of them a bad name. Anyone that caught disturbing the peace will be sent before the monarchs.
