Maggie scrambled to her feet. She held herself by the trunk of the tree leaning aganist it to keep herself from falling back over. Her hands gripped the branch that was still in her and yanked it from her chest as her fact twisted from the pain. This situation wasn't one she wanted to be in but she had no choice if she wanted to stay alive. It was obvious that this vampire was stronger and more powerful then her. He wasn't going to put up with her bullshit and the wooden stick that had been driven almost through her heart a matter of seconds ago reminder her of this fact. "What do you want from me?" her voice was still weak but her wounds were healing and for that she was thankful. She wasn't going to go running off again that was for sure.
All her wit and cleverness could not save her now. That was probably one of the biggest let downs. Maggie wasn't use to not getting her way. As she threw the chuck of wood back on the ground she looked into the other vampires eyes. Fear clearly written all over them. "Come on now out with it. You obviously got my attention." she growled as her thick Australian accent finally began to surface. If she still had a functioning heart it would have been racing at full speed.

Luke stared at her as she got back up and started talking, his head tilted slightly before he held out his hand for her, "Luke Johnson. You really don't remember who I am, do you?" He frowned slightly before speaking again, "then again, why would you? It was such a long time ago. Plus we never actually talked." Luke looked up at her, his eyes fixed on hers as he asked a crucial question, "did you get the note I left you?" Hopefully she would know what he was referring to. She wouldn't be able to forget the biggest change in her life.
He smirked as he looked at her, wondering what her next move would be but also thinking about the past and all the things he had done to hurt people. There was a lot of things. Right now the list seemed endless. Not that he really cared, he did what he wanted and no one was going to stop him. The smirk grew as he stepped closer to her, his hand raising to touch her cheek, "come now child. You know the rules of our kind. Honor thy maker." Luke licked his lips as he pulled the female close to him, "and obey them."

Maggie's eyes widened as she took a step backwards almost stumbling over the branch that he had gotten close to ending her life with. How was this possible? Maggie found it difficult to speak. Her heart would have been racing at this point if it even still bumped blood through her body. It was then that she found herself crying...the crimson streaks raced down her cheeks as she continued to back away. "Why?" Her thick Australian accent finally surfaced as she gazed into his eyes. She could not understand yet remember everything that had happened that night. All that she could recall was the note he had left her. That one piece of information cluing her into the fact that this wasn't a joke.
That night in 1924 was like any other night. She had spent it dancing and drinking like she normally did. A few men were likely to have surrounded her because of the accent she didn't try to hide back then. There was something about foreigner that drove men nuts, her beauty was only a plus. Free drinks were always certian with a few men by your side, so she often kept them around. One of them had to have been him. He had gotten to her last. Three days later she woke with what was mistaken as one hell of a hangover but in reality it was only a craving for blood.

Luke growled slightly as he moved closer to her, "why what?" This girl was starting to piss him off now and that wasn't going to end well. He grabbed hold of her hands and pulled her towards him, staring straight into her eyes, his own a light shade of crimson at this point in time. "Tell me, what does it feel like to meet your maker? I never met mine." His grip on her arms tightened as he slammed her into a tree, the lower half of his body pressing against her as he stared into her eyes some more. This girl was his creation, and all vampires had to obey their makers; it was a law. All those that didn't obey had to be executed.
The scent of her latest victim's blood could still be smelled on her lips. It was reaching out to him, begging for him to taste it... and oh how he wanted to. He desperately wanted to taste that blood, it smelled so sweet. His eyes wandered to her lips as one of his hands placed itself on her waist, still holding her against the tree. Luke's vampire instincts were kicking in, he wanted that blood but his male primative instincts were also kicking in and he wanted to kiss her lips so badly. He wanted her right there.

It wasn't hard to tell that she had once again successfully upset him. Hazel eyes stared back in horror as she felt the weigh of him pressed up firmly against her tiny frame. For a vampire she was such a tiny little thing, looking almost harmless. Maggie's lips parted slightly as she pressed her hands against his chest, stopping him from going any further. She could see the look in his eyes and it scared her. "Why did you do it? Why did you turn me?" There was no mistaken her Aussie accent as she spoke to him, the fear in her so great that she almost felt human. No matter how she felt she was bond to him, forced to listen to him or be killed. "Please don't kill me." she pleaded as she stared back up at him. All the attitude and wit had now completely vanished.
There had only been a few times in her existence that she had been frightened. Luke had been responsible for three of them. Her born, her near death, and that moment right now. The other had been a close call with a werewolf, one she had been lucky to get out of. The power that he held over her though was enough to send her into a panic.
