To James' mild surprise and his even greater delight, Lyn kissed him back! He could hardly believe what was happening right now, here he was taking a night swim with a beautiful woman, and they kiss. Wow, he didn't think this actually happened, especially to him.
The kiss was soft at first but the it seemed to become more passionate as it continued. James had kissed in the past of course, but they all seemed to pale in comparison to this kiss. The other women he had tried to romance in the past, had to be kept at arms length, because he was afraid of how they would react to him being a witch. That obstacle wouldn't be there with Lyn. This wasn't what made the kiss better than the others though, Lyn was just a really good kisser.
When the kiss finally ended, James felt a little disappointed, he wouldn't have cared if it had lasted forever. When James found himself staring back into Lyn's eyes he realized he couldn't think of anything to say. All he managed to muster up was another, "Hi."

Wow... just... wow. Wow. This was... this was just... amazing! Incredible. She had never really kissed anyone before. Well, there were those two times... but they were both when she was playing truth or dare. She hadn't meant a thing by them. She had to do them. Besides, neither of them had been this magical. This... wonderful. This...
Though the kiss had started off subtle and timid, the longer it lasted, the more she seemed to get into it. And the more she started to really like it. She felt the butterflies. And, not just that, but she started to feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Her blood was rushing to her cheeks, she just knew it. Blushing seemed to be her only real defense. Oh well. She wasn't going to let that ruin this for her. Besides... he was such a fantastic kisser. Absolutely... amazing.
The kiss did eventually end, though she didn't really know if she had been the one to end it or not. She hoped that she didn't. But, then again, it wouldn't surprise her if she did. That's just the kind of person she was. Sabotage her own kiss. He said hi again and she giggled. "...Hi..." She stared into his eyes and god, they were gorgeous. She could stare into them for hours. She started to bit her lip out of nervousness and, after a moment, finally mustered up the strength to look away. Okay, maybe not the strength... more like the will power. The stupid will power.
"You... wanna... maybe... go somewhere with me? Like... a movie?" the second she asked, she shook her own head. "Ne-never mind. Do-don't mind my silly que...questions."

He heard her question and felt a little silly, he should be the to ask her out. "No, no it wasn't a dumb question, I'd love to." Although he wasn't the first to ask, he would be the first to call it a date. "Although I'd like it to be a date, if that's ok with you?" He was pushing past all his nervousness now, "So will you go out on a date with me sometime?", nice recovery he thought to himself.
As he waited for her answer he thought about what they should do. She suggested a movie, which is good, but should they go out to dinner afterward? Yeah, he thought, dinner would be good. Maybe he could take her to that fancy restaurant, he tried to remember the name... Belva, that was it! But did she like places like that?
I'll bring it up if she says yes, when she says yes he corrected himself. After a wonderful kiss like that she couldn't turn him down, right? The kiss was just as magical for her as it was for him, at least he hoped it was. Ugh, stop trying to sabotage yourself James, he thought, she suggested the movie.
James stopped his internal monologue eagerly awaiting her response! He hoped to the heavens above she wanted to go on a date with him.

"No, no it wasn't a dumb question, I love to."
Really? He'd love to? He'd... really want to go with her? Well... anyway? That was... that would be so... so... amazing. Like this whole night had been. Absolutely amazing... like James himself. The male witch was just so incredible. She was sure that she was going to have a lot more fun with him. Or at least she hoped. The man was just the most magical person she had ever met! No pun intended, He was nice, hot... and.. well... it was hard to explain.
"Although I'd like it to be a date, if that's ok with you? So will you go out on a date with me sometime?"
A date? She'd... never been on a date before. She smiled sheepishly. "Ye-yes. I... I'd love to... go on... a date with you..." she said with a smile. She didn't look at him but she still smiled. A date. A date! This was... this was incredible! She wanted to kiss him again.. but... well... that wouldn't be right. Would it? 'Why am I so shy? I need to take some advice from Buff,' she thought.

She said yes! She even said she'd love to go out on a date with me. He was suddenly glad they were still in the water, otherwise he would have broke out into a happy dance. That would have been embarrassing. He probably had the biggest grin in the world right now.
James noticed she was smiling too, but she wasn't looking at him. Wow, he thought, she is even more shy than me. He thought it was cute, then again he thought everything about her was cute. He's never felt like this about anyone before, an he'd never thought that it would happen so fast, be so easy.
James probably wouldn't admit it aloud, but he hasn't been on a date in a while. He began trying to think of all the logistics involved. Where to go? When? Should he pick her up, should he meet her there? Would they kiss again? Man he really liked kissing her. Her soft lips, her hesitant tongue, the taste of her. The passion, wow he tought I really need to kiss her again!
That past few minutes were beginning to make him bold, he placed his hand on her chin and turned her head so he could look back in her eyes. "I really want to kiss you again", James didn't wait for her to respond, he just leaned back in and began kissing her. He really liked kissing her, he hoped she wouldn't stop him.

He was just so... amazing. Her pale cheeks were growing redder and redder. She could just feel it. That, and she could see her slight reflection in the moonlit waters. But... not only did she see her blushing cheeks, she could see the faint glisten of a grin on James' face.
James was so cute. And that smile on his face just seemed to shine. Well, maybe it was just the moonlight. Maybe it was the magic. Either way, it didn't change how she felt at that moment. She felt happy. Happier than she ever had been. Actually, she couldn't ever remember a time that she had felt like this in the past. She felt so... so different.
Lynette felt him place his hand under her chin and turn her head to face him again. She stared into his eyes, her own bright blue ones sparkling. He said that he wanted to kiss her again. She was about say something when he started to kiss her again.
At first, she was as hesitant as ever but, as she slowly closed her eyes, her hesitence let up. She liked this. She liked this a whole lot. Hell, she liked it a lot more than she thought that she would. Slowly, her arms moved out of the water to wrap around the back of his neck. She didn't want this to end. She wanted this to go on forever. And she wasn't going to be the one to make it end. If it ended, it would be by him... or an incoming tide.

As they kissed again James noticed Lyn was hesitant again. He began to think the second kiss wasn't such a good idea after all. After a few seconds though Lyn's hesitance faded, and she slowly wrapped her hands around the back of his neck. James responded by slowly moving his hands to her back and began to pull her closer.
James didn't want this kiss to end, Lyn was an amazing kisser. As they continued kissing the world and whatever troubles he had seemed to melt away. He forgot about the recent friction, that's putting it mildly, he had with his mother and grandmother. He forgot about how rough his workday was today, everything was swallowed up by that one amazing kiss he shared with Lyn now. James never wanted this kiss to end, he just wanted to stay here for all eternity, in the embrace of this extraordinary kisser... he meant woman.
Alas as all things did, the kiss ended. Stupid tides, James thought. The warm water he had conjured up was being pulled out by the tides. The water was becoming chilly again, that he could have ignored while he was entangled in Lyn's arms. It was the wave he could not, sure enough a wave had begun to crest a few feet away from them. It wound up catching them right upside the head, nature's way of saying 'Get a room!' he thought.
As James began to wipe the saltwater from his eyes, he couldn't help but laugh. Sill chuckling he said, "I guess that was Mother Nature's way of telling us to get a room!"

Goddess, she never thought that she could feel this way about someone she just met before. It was so... strange. It was almost like the two of them were meant for each other. As if they were created for each other. The Goddess did work in strange ways. It was very possible that her thoughts were along the right lines as to what had been planned for her... but it didn't matter. All that mattered was him and her. And their kiss. Had she said wow yet? If not, then... wow!
Then the kiss ended. She must of jinxed herself because it had indeed been the waves that had ended it. The warm water had been taken away and a slight chill ran up her spine. She barely noticed it, though. The water crashed over them. She wiped the ocean water from her own eyes. The sound of his laughter made her giggle a little too. And his words made her laugh all the more.
"I guess that was Mother Nature's way of telling us to get a room!"
"I guess so," she laughed. Strange enough, she didn't really want to move. But the longer she seemed to stand there, the colder she got. Another shiver ran up her spine and her teeth started to chatter lightly.
"It's starting to get a little cold out here... Ma-maybe we should go back up to the shore," Lynette said, looking up into his eyes. Wow, they were so pretty. She just wanted to stare into them for forever. Though it was really getting late.
She grabbed his hand without thinking. "Com'on," she said, tearing her eyes away from his a little begrudgingly. She looked over towards the shore, hoping he'd let her lead him over there.
