[atrb=style,background-color: 000000,bTable] James Michael Corbin |
[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] hey guys. my name is James Michael Corbin, but you can call me James. everyone else does, so i guess you can too. i'm twenty six years young, and if it isn't already obvious, i'm a male. it should be. what isn't so obvious is the fact that i'm a witch, but you can keep that a secret for now. |
personality
Well where to begin? Lets start with likes, top of the list, women. Ok a little cliched, but I can't help it, its not my fault the world is full of beautiful women. I also find the goth/alternative look really sexy, not a prereq to getting my attention just a preference. Also I know what your thinking, but I'm not a womanizer, I like women that doesn't mean I don't want to be in a relationship. Plus I think I lack the confidence to be a womanizer, sure I'm good looking, but I also have to keep secrets, family secrets, witch stuff. Being afraid to let others close to keep your secret actually doesn't inspire confidence. So my lack of confidence has made me a little shy, its hard to be outgoing when you hide so much about yourself, at least thats the way I see it. Ok, second on the list, sports, I know another cliche. I like sports, Lacrosse in particular but also Hockey, I played both in college and high school. This also doesn't mean I am another dumb jock, I love to study and learn knew things too. In fact studying is a big part of being a witch. Show me another kid that had learned to speak, fluently I might add, two dead languages by age ten. Yeah I didn't think so. Third on the list art, and yeah yeah, your probably asking are you sure women being number one on the list isn't just overcompensating. What, I've been drawing mystical symbols since... forever really. If you haven't figured it out, drawing... another big witch thing. You know what I'm done listing stuff, beyond the witch thing, I think I'm a pretty ordinary guy.Now on to dislikes I guess, I don't know... brussel sprouts. You know I like what I like and dislike what I dislike. I think we should move on. I don't really like to be put on the spot to much, unless I'm really prepared. I guess being prepared means your not really put on the spot, but hey I still don't like it. Hey theres one for the dislike list.
Vampires, you know they've gone public, but I'm still not sure about them. I've read a lot of horrible things about them. I guess you could say the same for witches, how many wicked witch stories are out there? I guess not all vampire can be evil, but I don't think I going to go looking for them.
history
My history, well lets start before I was born. The Corbin's as their now known as, are actually a long line of witches. Back in the day my family used to be very sexist, women were always the leaders of the family. Women power and persecution, fortunately for me that changed for the better. Boys were always treated as second class in the old days, at least in my family. Men eventually got equal rights in the family, which is why I am a witch today. The men of the family were not allowed to practice magic. Anyways enough ancient family history on to me. I was born to be a powerful witch or so I'm told. I was also told I was suppose to be a girl, thanks grandma. So from a young age I was trained to be the best damn witch I could be. By age ten, I spoke Latin and Ancient Greek, fluently. So my childhood wasn't always full of fun, but I still had fun with it. I enjoyed the praise I received from my families elders. Lets face it, I kicked ass. My leash got loosened a bit in high school, I was aloud to play sports, as long as they didn't interfere with my studies. Don't worry I never cheated by using magic on the field, tempting as it may have been, I had instilled in me the consequences of doing so before I was aloud to play sports. Thanks again grandma. Plus a family member was always at my games, just to be sure. I graduated high school valedictorian, and it was all Ivy Leagues from there. What did I end up graduating as you might ask, a very skilled linguist. I know dozens of language, including sign. What did I end up going after college, becoming a starving artist. I joke, my family is too wealthy for me to starve, plus I sell my services as an interpreter when I need extra cash. Arabic and Chinese are popular for those dishing out the big bucks. Now why did I move to Jamerson Falls, New Jersey one might ask, my family has little influence here. For the first time I am truly on my own, and am looking to build my life.[/div]

role play sample |
"Nonsense", Brodir responds to her questions, "you are never late. In fact, I am beginning to suspect that time actually waits for you. And as far as I am concerned this night is lovelier now that you are here". Brodir gently takes Luna's hand and brings it to his lips. At the last moment he allows his fangs to unsheathe. They may just be friends but Brodir sees nothing wrong with being playful. Besides he has a feeling Luna loves the attention. Brodir looks into Luna's eyes as he finally kisses her hand.
Brodir puts his fangs away as he releases Luna's hand. He offers the crook of his arm to Luna as he asks, "Shall we walk"?[/div]
