The nightlife had been something that Maggie had always admired. Even in her human years she had preferred the night over the day. Then again she was almost always too hungover during the day to even enjoy it. The nights of bootlegging and dancing certainly had added up before her transformation. She really did live her life to the fullest, so much that she had decided to bring a vampire unknowingly home and the rest was history. Times had really changed since the 1920's but she had made it her goal to keep up with them, that was just how she had always been. She needed to have the latest and greatest things. Unlike most vampires that lost touch with the modern world, Maggie was constantly engulfed in it. It really was the only way to bring in her meals faster. It was a lot easier to tell that you were the undead when you had know clue how to work a cell phone.
It wasn't long before Maggie had found her meal for that night. A Drunk, prefect. Leaning against one of a trash cans a man began to really understand the reason as to why he should have consumed more water with his vodka sours. Maggie looked like a mere blur as she raced up behind him. She wasn't even going to sweet talk her meal this time, it wasn't worth it to her. Her fangs extended and bit into him in one swift motion. The warm taste of his blood only made Maggie more aggressive as she took in all she could. His body getting lifeless by the second. As Maggie dropped the body at her feet she licked the blood off her lips and gave a smirk. Her smirk quickly vanished when she sensed someone near. Growling, Maggie lifted her head to see who happened to be watching.

Alex walked down the street a cool breeze blowing through her hair. She liked being out at night, she didn’t know why but it was when she felt the best and when she felt the most free. ”Probably because there are no annoying humans around to watch you walking.” She smirked at the thought; the human race had really turned into quite a noisy species, wanting to know what everyone was up to and why a woman happened to be walking in the dark, really it was all quite much. Alex was the type who didn’t really care what was going on around her and unless it directly affected her she didn’t really pay any attention to anything.
Alex’s head jerked to the side when her sensitive ears caught the sound of a human gasp that quickly turned into a moan of agony and then ended. ”Vampires.” Shaking her head Alec started toward the noise to see what had happened. As she had expected the body of a male human lay slumped on the ground, dead, she could tell by the gross odder that was now coming off of the carcass. Stepping closer to take a look she spotted the vampire; a petit blonde, not what she had expected. ”Bravo, bravo, you should be very proud of yourself.” Alex said jokingly and she walked out of the darkness clapping.
She could tell the vampire would be a danger so she got herself ready to change if she needed to get away. But right now, it just looked like another fun vampire for her to mess with and piss off. ”Ah, my two favourite things, on such a nice night. Someone must be looking out for me.”

"What do you want?" The last thing that Maggie needed was some shifter sniffing around in her business. Maggie wasn't a fan of anyone watching her eat so the rest of her dinner was going to have to wait. She supposed she could pick off a few more drunks in a few hours or so. There always seemed to be a few stumbling about Jamerson Falls here and there. In a blink of an eyes Maggie was now face to face with her visitor. From the smell of it it appeared she was a shifter. They disgusted her. Part human, part beast...at least in the regards they could change into one. The thought of consuming animal blood disgusted her. She thought that those poorly written vampire books that suggested vampires even resorted to that made her want to vomit. She had never attempted to suck a shifter dry but she could only guess that their blood would be foul and not even worth the effort.
"Run along little one. You don't need to be messing with a Vampire. I won't have a problem ripping that little smirk off your face in a heartbeat." Maggie gave a low growl before promptly displaying her pearly white fangs. She was like a venomous snake ready to strike at this point...then again she never had a problem with shooting down her victims with a few words before doing some damage. Maggie liked to think she was quick on her feet and could take on anything. Her ego and pride almost always were greatly inflated.

”What do I want? Oh, I was merely just taking a stroll down the street and happened to hear some muffled screaming. You know, you should be more careful, if some humans were to ever see you draining a poor innocent drunk, we’ll I’m sure all hell would be raised.” Smiling Alex stayed where she was, her voice and face was genuine, but inside she wanted to cut the vampires teeth out. For some reason this one just rubbed her the wrong way. Casting her gaze downward Alex watched as the drunk started to wiggle on the ground, amused she almost laughed out loud. If nothing else, vampires were very amusing and so were they’re prey. All scared and helpless, soon everyone would be walking around with wooden stakes.
”And I was thinking that we were going to be best friends!” She exclaimed fake heartbreak spreading across her face. ”I’m surprised those aren’t stained with blood.” Alex said gesturing to the vampire’s fangs as she showed them, in no doubt trying to scare her off. ”With how many bodies you’ve probably drained.” Finishing her statement Alex walked over to the drunk and lightly taped him in the side to see if he was responsive. Not getting much of a response from him she shrugged and walking away.
”Now, I thought it was against vampire rules to drink human blood? Or can you just not kill them?” Thinking Alex lightly paced back and forth, she didn’t actually know much about the vampire rules, so the question was just as much mockery as her actually wanting to know.

With each question, Maggie's anger rose. She couldn't believe that she was actually being talked back to. "Do you ever know when to shut your big mouth fur ball?" she snapped as she narrowed her eyes. It was very rare for someone to stand up to Maggie and as of right now she didn't like it very much. "For your information I can rip apart whoever I please. I also like to pride myself in the fact that i am not much of a messy eater" It was very easy to see that Alex had managed to work this petite vampire up. Every inch of her undead body seemed to give off a strong vibe of irritation."I'm surprised your smartass mouth has even managed to be speaking trash this long." She folded her arms as she gave her a cold stare making sure it was clear that her presence wasn't wanted.
"If I were you I would turn around and walk away. Go turn into a mutt for all I care. Get out of my sight before I make you my next meal." Maggie honestly didn't have much more to say. She had certainly been caught off guard by the fact this the shifter in front of her had even worked up the courage to challenge her in this way.

”Anger, you should really learn to control that. It can get you into a lot of trouble.” Laughing at the vampire’s reaction Alex smiled. ”I keep my mouth shut when I have nothing to say, and that doesn’t happen too often. I happen to like to speak my mind.” It was true Alex wasn’t one to keep quiet when she had something to say and she didn’t always think before she talked. It could get her into trouble, but it was who she was and liked it that way, can’t go through life without getting into shit sometimes, it would just be plan boring. And boring wasn’t something Alex did well.
Watching the vampire Alex was getting bored, it was too easy to piss this one off and she liked a challenge. And this wasn’t turning out to be much of one, sighing she rolled her eyes. ”Whatever you say, but you got some blood here.” She said tapping around her mouth. Gasping Alex put a hand over her mouth. ”That was rather rude!” Shaking her finger in the air she turned around. I was already planning on it. Mutts happen to be very nice dogs, just so you know. Also, you wouldn’t be able to make me you next meal, sweetie. It doesn’t work that way.” Sending one last smile over her shoulder Alex started her walk home, she was done here.

Before Maggie could get another word in edgewise Alex was walking way. Maggie felt embarrassed, not because she had made a fool of herself (at least that wasn't going to be something she would admit) but because it seemed like she had been one upped by the smart mouthed shifter. Maggie scoffed and rolled her eyes as she watched her walk away. This truly was unbelievable. She was sure if they ever met again it wouldn't not be pretty. Maggie fist balled up slightly as she fangs extended. There was no hiding this petite blonde's anger.
After a few minutes Maggie thought it was best to leave. She darted off in the opposite direction in search for a few more people to kill out of anger. Nothing, not even vampire rules were going to stop the bloodbath was was about to occur. Maggie had always been good at staying under the radar and covering her tracks, as long as she was careful this wasn't going to be a problem. Maggie's temper wasn't the best in the world...there was no telling what kinds of things her anger would lead her to.
