[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] hey guys. my name is Kathryn Nicole Lee, but you can call me Kit, Kat, Kitkat, Kathy, Kate, Katie, Kitty, or Kitten if we're close enough. everyone else does, so i guess you can too. i'm twenty-five years young, and if it isn't already obvious, i'm a female. it should be. what isn't so obvious is the fact that i'm a Witch |
personality
Kit is a very guarded person, and it is very hard for her to relax and actually show her emotions. The only time she can relax fully is when she's with Alex, preferably at home or out in a field or meadow. Most of the time her expression is a guarded or determined one. It also isn't that uncommon to see an uneasy, suspicious, tense or even anxious expression on her face. She isn't easily flustered or embarrassed; in embarrassing situations she is mildly-to-extremely uncomfortable and a tad bit annoyed or irritated (all depends on the situation), but that's it. She isn't all that awkward or insecure, though she is prone to jealousy and envy. Surprisingly, she is easily confused and when she finally understands, she usually feels silly or foolish, although she would never show it. Instead, she may appear discontented, or cross. Now, just because she is not easily embarrassed or flustered, does not mean it doesn't happen. And when it does, she blushes. A lot. Kit is easily angered and bored although she attempts to control both. She goes scarlet when she is angry. Kit is surprisingly lonely. She has many stages of anger. She usually gets disgusted, irritated or annoyed first, then she gets pissed off, miffed, cross or frustrated. That gradually builds it's way up to anger, then fury, lividness then rage. She would go into a black rage where it is almost impossible to calm her down. Until she gets tired and passes out. Some say that she reminds them of a toddler having a temper tantrum, until they fall asleep, and that's.... oddly accurate.
Surprisingly, Kathryn is easily upset, especially if she feels under appreciated. Then she'd feel trapped, used, hurt and over burdened. On the other side of this, she can't STAND feeling useless and inadequate.
Kat isn't easily frightened, though she is terrified of water, being alone and guys for the most part. Being touched freaks her out. She is also afraid of needles and death, although it's not easy to tell this, really.
But of course, there's always a balance. Because she's so serious, she is also very focused on her work. She is very protective, especially of her daughter, and feels incredibly guilty if someone dies because of her. Yet, she doesn't cry. Or at least, she tries not to.
Although her fury can be downright terrifying, sometimes it seems like she is an angry kitten (adorable, in other words) and it also proves that she is, in fact, passionate. Very passionate. She is currently taking anger management classes because she is 5'3 of pure fire-cracker style anger that is ready to explode anyyyy moment now.
Kit is a bit of a dreamer and has been known to let her mind wander a bit. Her mind works very fast and she is able to grasp ideas very quickly. This is partly because she was diagnosed with ADHD at the early age of seven and takes medication to control it, somewhat. However, she still forgets to take her medicine so although she is focused and determined, she is also easily distracted, a dreamer and basically a child when she doesn't take her meds. People tend to over look this fault though, because of her quick wit, sparkling satire, slick sarcasm and live-wire personality. She has a fast moving brain and is often described as "the quirky, child like girl down in the K9 Unit who is a joy to have on the team."
But of course, there's more negative. Because of the trauma she's suffered (both what she's seen and what's been done to her), she suffers from both depression and insomnia, complete with recurring night terrors. Although she is medicated for all of this, they still affect her badly. And nothing helps the night terrors.
Kit has been described as "as stubborn as a pug but as cute as a beagle puppy." She's headstrong and once she gets a hold of an idea, she won't let go. She has the tendency to rush into things without thinking, which gets her into a lot of trouble. Luckily, Alex is always there to help her, to have her back.
As for her opinion on Vampires coming out? Hates it. Absolutely hates it. As if it wasn't hard enough to protect the innocent, now she has to deal with leeches, too?! Oh, don't get me wrong, she LOVES her job, she wouldn't trade it for any job in the world. But sometimes... sometimes it could be a bit too much for her.
All in all, she's just like everyone else. She has her good traits and her bad, her ups and her downs, and she's no different than the next guy. Witches, shifters, vampires or weres, they're all alike in a way. She's no different.
history
Kitty's early years were fairly simple. She grew up with her father Rowan and her mother Kestrel. Kit didn't know she was a witch, as her parents wanted to have a simple, regular life. So Kit went through her life, an only child, knowing she was different but not knowing why.
Kit's best friend growing up was Alex, her next door neighbour. Often they would play in the forest or by the river, just the two of them. Kit had a hard time making friends; she was just too DIFFERENT. But Alex was also different, though he never told her why. That differentness, though she wondered about it, was part of the reason why they became friends so easily.
Of course, that easy friendship had to turn into a complicated crush. Was it one sided? Did he feel the same way? Was she willing to risk their relationship? Was he? IN the end she just left it, letting her feelings grow.
And that's how they ended up in the situation they did, the summer before seventh grade, both of them crushing on the other, neither one of them to make a move.....
And then he died.
Kitty was devastated. Absolutely heartbroken. And that's when the troubles began. Her high grades plummeted, she was very emotional, would go into sudden crying fits or black rages for no good reason, she couldn't sleep, wouldn't eat and screamed herself awake when she did manage to fall asleep. Not only that, but she became an alcoholic at thirteen.
She was fairly tipsy, but not drunk, when she was at a party in grade eight. She was going upstairs to the bathroom when suddenly she was slammed into another room, pinned to the floor and raped mercilessly. Four weeks later, she found out she was pregnant.
She raised her daughter Kaitlyn Elisabeth Lee to the best of her ability, despite her daughter's familiar differentness and despite being only fifteen and therefore still a child herself. She got medicated for her depression and insomnia, smartened up her grades and got her act together. The only thing she didn't stop was the drinking, although she started doing it only on the weekends.
The moment that Kit was old enough, when she was twenty-one, she enrolled herself into police academy where she trained for little over six months before the year long probationary period. After that year, she was paired up with Alex, the husky dog from the K9 Unit, and has been working with him ever since.
Her daugter, Kaitlyn Elisabeth Lee, who takes after her father and is a shapeshifter, although she hasn't shifted yet.
