[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] I’m Kyon Adele Girard, and please don’t try to call me anything “cutesy”, I don’t like nicknames. I am twenty seven years young, and I’m obviously a female. What isn't so obvious is the fact that I'm a witch, but seriously, you are going to keep that a secret. |
personality
Basically, she’s psychotic. Literally, she has a medical diagnosis, though she won’t take her pills that are supposed to control her certain ‘quirks’. Kyon is incredibly charming, at least when you first meet her. She is an expert at turning on the innocent, sweet girl act, just to reel you in. Most of the time, your relationship with her will end here, since she doesn’t put much effort into keeping people around unless she is planning on harming them or just freaking them out, or if, on the very, very rare occasion, she is genuinely interested in them. If you ever did manage to get that deeply into her personality and under her guard, you’d find that she is rather neurotic and a bit tortured. However, you would have to be an expert in psychology to dig that deep into her mind, since she has been holding a strong, confident barrier around herself for as long as she can remember. Care and sympathy also aren’t things that you’d usually associate with her. Kyon does show concern every once and a while, but it is usually directed toward something that would affect her directly, such as if she got her skirt dirty. Really, she has never shown anyone real empathy, and certainly not love. Her life’s philosophy is based around ‘survival of the fittest’; if you’re stupid enough to fall for her phony ‘girl next door’ bit, then you deserve to fall victim to her magic or her knife. Whichever she’s in the mood for. And if she had the chance, she’d use her teeth, but as it were, she isn’t a vampire, though she is working towards becoming one. She absolutely admires the vampires for what they are.Likes:

history
The household that Kyon grew up in was a broken one. Her mother was a single parent and had never married. She had two children; the oldest, Geoffrey, and then, of course, Kyon. Geoff had been a handful, even before Claire had known she was going to have another child. The boy was autistic. Claire had found this out when she had been pregnant, but she had been in an alright spot at the time and had thought that it would be easy enough to take care of one special needs kid. For a time, it was, at least until she lost her job as a sales clerk, and almost went bankrupt. Kyon was born during the time that Claire was at her worst, and was neglected by her mother, as she was so busy with Geoff all the time. Kyon was five when Claire finally gave up trying to take care of her children. Geoff was sent to a special home and the girl was sent off to foster care. This was when Kyon really started to develop her problems. Her mother had known that the girl was special in some way, she’d always caused strange things to happen around her when she was little and her foster parents noticed it even more. Though the girl had no idea what was wrong with her, she was starting to gain control of her powers and used them to try to get whatever she wanted. However, her foster parents would always punish her when they found her using her magic and it soon got to the point where they would physically hurt her to get her to stop. Eventually, she started to show up to school with bruises on her arms and neck. Thankfully, child services stepped in then to take Kyon away from the foster home to take her to a new one, though it was far too late.
She was ten by now and the next home she lived in was much, much better, but her behavior was even worse. She began to make nightly trips into the city so that she could test out her powers on the people there. This also led to her meeting vampires. The first ones she encountered tried to kill her, but that didn’t make her hate the race, it make her realize that she wanted to be like them. They were so strong and persuasive, and they got to do whatever they wanted. That sounded like the perfect life to her. Sadly, her foster parents found out her going out at night, and despite their kindness to her earlier, they reacted rather negatively to this revelation. They locked her up in her room after dinner and even went so far as barring her windows, fearing that she would kill someone eventually, since she never admitted that she already had. While this did put an end to her nightly jaunts, it pushed her to start acting out toward her foster parents; trying to bite them, scratch them, or just hurt them with whatever in the room could be used as a weapon, since she didn’t hate them enough to use magic to harm them, afraid it would actually kill one of them.
The girl was sent to two other foster homes after that, the first of which she only stayed in for a year, while the other she managed almost seven, being as one of her foster parents was a witch and knew how better to control her, and even teach her a few tricks. At the age of 18, she was finally free to do as she wished. This was when the ‘for fun’ torture started. The first night out that she had by herself, not having to worry about being reprimanded or punished for sneaking out, she found herself a very handsome human male, brought him back to a hotel, and just slaughtered the poor bastard. From then on, she was addicted. For the next three years or so, she made her money through theft form her victims and odd jobs, but then she found Clint.
For the very first time, one of the men she brought to a hotel was not killed. When she had whipped that knife out, made even more deadly by the fire she had flickering over it, and ran at him, he had wrestled the weapon from her then pushed her to the ground, where he proceeded to tell her that he was looking for someone just like her. The very next day, she was set on her first assignment; killing the owner of a bar who was a bit too late paying Clint back on a large loan. It was the start of a wonderful relationship between the witch and her vampire employer. With the money that this work gave her, Kyon was able to live as she pleased. She bought herself a huge wardrobe, and a very nice apartment. It almost all seemed too easy, that she should be paid so handsomely for something she would willingly pay to do.

Lifting a hand to make sure that her hair was staying in place, Kyon moved away from the window to move through the front door. Shifting her purse for easier access, she moved straight to the display housing a beautiful pair of pearl and diamond chandelier earrings. "Do you need any help?" She looked up at a woman's voice and smiled up to the woman who was standing behind the counter, smiling right back. "I'd like those earrings please," she said, pointing just for clarification. The human unlocked the case and then reached in to pull out the jewelry. "These?" Kyon nodded. The woman smiled. "Is there anything else you're interested in?"
"No," the witch said sweetly, "that's all for today." The woman muttered in understanding and then moved around the register, where Kyon paid for the earrings, honestly for once, since it only cost 350 dollars out of all that she had on her in cash. And it was completely worth it. As she left the store, she pulled off her small crystal earrings and placed them in her purse before taking out the new ones from their slim, velvet lined case and putting them on instead. She had to stop on the sidewalk for a few seconds to admire herself in the small mirror of the compact she always carried with her. She thought that she looked even better, those earrings were beautiful! Now she just needed somewhere to show them off.
Scooting to the side of the walkway to let an older man past, she looked around to see if there was anywhere that would be popular as the night wore on. There was a rather nice looking restaurant across the street and a few people were milling around the entrance while a small group was walking through the door. There had to be plenty of interesting people in there and if she was lucky a man or two that she could bring home; she hadn't been able to do that in a while and she missed the fun!
Putting on a sweet, innocent, "I'm a spoiled daddy's girl' facade, she practically pranced across the road, pulling her purse closer to her so that it wouldn't bounce around on her hip. Stepping up to the building's front door, she grinned as a young man opened the door for her, thanking himvbefore moving through the doorway. A hostess greeted her then and led her into the dining room, seating her without sparing any time on small talk since they must be having a busy night. Kyon appreciated that; she hated having to humor people with the idea that she actually cared what they had to say.
Settling herself into her seat, the witch took to scanning the room for anyone especially interesting. She was slightly disappointed to see that many people were not here alone, they were either in couples or in small groups. She needed someone who would at least not be missed if they left their table. Eventually, her eyes rested on an older looking man, grey-haired even, but he looked irresistibly wealthy despite him not being dressed much different than the other man in the room. He carried himself like a rich man, and she loved that. After thanking a waiter who handed her a glass of wine that she'd ordered earlier, she turned her eyes back to the stranger across the way. Lifting the glass to take a sip, she didn't try to hide the fact that she was staring at him and that she was very interested in saying "Hello." [/div]
