"Happy Birthday Ambry!" They all shouted, not caring about the annoyed looks their group was getting from the staff of the theater. Ambry and her friends were all standing together at the entrance to the theater, after the movie, presents had been unwrapped and the party was coming to a close. Ambry grinned and laughed as Cheryl and Lynsey made faces at each other and started playfully bickering as they walked out the door. "Great Movie choice Ambry, and happy 19th birthday. "Her friend Adelyn told her with a hug. "Thanks Addie, I'll see you all tomorrow!" she called out as the last of her friends started to move towards the door "Oh, hey, need any help with bringing your presents to the car?" Mary Katherine asked, stopping at the door and tilting her head to the side. "Nah, its fine, I can handle it, you go ahead." Ambry reassured Mk before turning back to go into the party room.
Once there she took out her phone she checked her messages, sighing and shoving it back int her purse then collecting her presents in her arms. Her father had been gone all day today, doing god knows what, probably having too much fun gambling their money away, and hadn't wished her a happy birthday, not even through text. She had thought maybe he would surprise her with something at the party, but he hadn't showed up. She hadn't seen him at all for the pass three days. With a heavy heart she trudged across the parking lot. It was very late, and the theater was getting ready to close for the night. She let out a sigh and tightened her arms around her bags of presents, her father seemed to be less active in her life more and more each day. He was changing too. Her father was a very handsome man, but over these pass few months he was looking over tired and unhealthy. Lately she thought he was even avoiding her, he looked so desperate and lost that she had caught him in a hall way before he could shut himself in his office all day and tried to console him and help, but he had brushed her away abruptly and forbade her from coming anywhere near his office again.
She was distracted with thoughts of her father, so she didn't hear them until it was too late. A hand grabbed onto her waist and a body press against her back. She dropped her bags in surprise, cards and gifts spilled out onto the ground. "Hello, Birthday girl." a deep voice chuckled in her ear. She struggled, trying to twist around and see who had her. Ambry's breathing hitched as an arm circled her stomach to pull her closer. "What's you name princess?" she saw another person in the corner of her eye and gathered breath for a scream that was abruptly cut off by a large hand slapping across her mouth. She saw the second man reach down and pick up one of the cards. His eyes scanned down to the bottom where her name was written amongst birthday wishes in Jessica's cheery writing. "Yep, thats her. Who else has that name?" The man behind her started to move, taking her with him. She fought, twisting around to try to break his hold and lunging away from him, reaching in her purse for her keys, brandishing them like a weapon.

That night played over in Luke's mind, the night of the events at the arcade. He had killed everyone in the building without any mercy or thought. The bodies of his victims had been littered across the floor and all he had done was ran away and left them. What else was there to do though? All he could do was either stay there or run; and staying would have been stupid. It may not have been ideal but he had taken the best option out of the situation. It still got noticed though. Sure enough he had found himself being punished by one of the monarch's assassins, under direct orders from the royals themselves of course. That meeting had been eventful in so many ways, but he wasn't going to think about the fighting or the mess his house was in... or even the sex... Now wasn't the time; he was hungry.
That was exactly why he was now at the cinema. Even though what he had done at the arcade was wrong and had proven to be punishable, Luke never learned a thing from his mistakes, and right now he figured that it was time to replicate what had happened and drain everyone in the cinema. This would be his feast and probably one of the biggest killings ever done by a single vampire, no doubt it would even be punished by death. Not that he cared right now. There was nothing much to live for. In fact, with Maggie out of his life, there was nothing at all. Perhaps death was the best thing.
Stepping out through the doors after watching some film about wizards at a school Luke spotted a fairly young female walking out of the party room with her hands full of what seemed to be presents. His eyebrows raised slightly as he watched her exit the building, his mind working up a curiousity about things. Perhaps she could be his first victim if he started to talk to her and get her trust? Now ideas were forming. A smile crossed his mouth as he followed her outside and kept a safe distance as he practically stalked her across the parking lot. Then something completely out of the blue happened and even Luke was surprised he didn't notice it but a guy stepped out from behind a car and had grabbed the female. This, of course, made Luke wonder what exactly was going on and he didn't like that.
As he watched the scene involving the female and the two men Luke carefully approached. The last time he had helped someone things had turned out quite awkward and now the person he had saved, for all he knew, was dead. It had been a while since Luke had seen Christine. Perhaps she had left town or been killed? Maybe perhaps both? This was exactly why Luke was a little hesitant about helping this female out at this point in time. Of course there was always the chance that if he did help her then a visit to the bedroom may be required and that would please him very much. He was a ladies man after all and the female was quite pretty, for a human. Yes, perhaps saving her would be best after all.
A smirk appeared on his face as he moved closer, "did you know that it's not safe to attack people at night? Never know what you might run into." His fangs extended and his fists clenched by his side, Luke was ready to fight if the situation called for it but right now he wanted to just scare the men, any chance of the female getting hurt wasn't worth the risk so it was best not to attack straight away.

Both men glanced from her to the keys then back to each other and snickered as her sad attempt at a weapon. The larger man, the one who had grabbed her, held his hands up and wiggled his fingers, a nasty smile on his face "Ohhh, So scarey, She's gonna key me!" She mocked. just then she heard a new voice and jumped, taken by surprise. At first she thought he was another man come to join the other two but when he threatened then and flashed fangs at them her mouth dropped and she froze. 'A Vampire! A real live vampire! And he is saving me!' She was so shocked at the fact that she was really standing right next to a vampire she didn't notice the other mens reactions at first, but when the smaller man stumbled back and fell to the ground she managed to tare her eyes away from Luke and turn towards the two men.
Ambry quickly ran behind Luke, still clutching her keys in a death grip. The one on the ground was shaking, his eyes wide with fear, but the larger one just clenched his hands and puffed himself up, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a hand gun. "You take one more step leech and you're dead. You don't know who you're messing with." He told him, motioning to one of the many tattoos on his arm " You know what that means eh? You don't want to mess with this gang, man. we don't mean you any harm, we just have orders for the girl." He threatened, but Ambry could hear the quiver in his voice that told her he was scared out of him mind. She looked from Luke to the gun "be careful... maybe we should just run?" She voice was soft and a bit shaky. She didn't what was true about vampire or not, for all she knew Luke could be killed with one shot like the rest of them. She didn't want him to get hurt trying to save her.
The man with the gun glanced at his partner motioned for him to pick himself up "Get up and get in the Car, man." He growled at him before turning his gaze on Ambry and Luke again. "Now, no one wants to get Shot eh? just make this easy and walk away man."
