[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] Hey guys. My name is Jacqueline Rose Frost, but you can call me Rose. Everyone else does, so I guess you can too. I'm twenty eight years young, and if it isn't already obvious, I'm a girl. it should be. What isn't so obvious is the fact that I'm a human, but you can keep that a secret for now. |
personality
I tend to be rather shy at first but once I get to know you I am very friendly. I have been called the Girl Next Door type most of my life. I take things pretty much to heart which can sometimes make me a little vulnerable and easily hurt. I am not one to yell at people or throw things, that's just not my style. I try to be classy as much of the time as possible. Though I am very comfortable in my worn out jeans or party dress either one. I actually prefer the jeans most of the time. I am conscious of my appearance and hardly ever go without at least eye make-up. Even though my mother says I have natural beauty I at least want my eyes to look great! LOLI am just coming out of a three year relationship with the man I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. Still reeling from the hurt and a little confused I have decided to move to Jamerson Falls and start my life over. My Dad owns a local car dealership in our small town and gave me a brand new car to try to take away some of the pain of Chris dumping me.
Chris..........oh Chris......... the absolute most perfect man I ever have known. When he decided he wanted to move on and broke up with me it devastated me. I am lost without him and probably very vulnerable. He will always be my own and only true love.
I am stubborn and not easily persuaded to do things that I don't agree with. Have never done illicit drugs and don't plan to. I am very fit and do enjoy the out of doors.
Hopefully, Jamerson Falls will be a good place to start my life over.
history
I am the oldest child of three. My family lives in a small town in rural Kansas. As I said before my Dad runs a local car dealership and my Mom is his bookkeeper. They have been married for over thirty years and are very happy together. I have a younger sister and a younger brother. They are both in college now. My brother in his freshman year and my sister is a junior in college.
Growing up I got most of what I wanted but not all. I was never the Homecoming Queen. Never really cared about all that high society crap. I had my friends, well, til I met Chris, then I just dropped my friends and spent all my time with him. I see now that was a huge mistake but, live and learn on that one I guess.
Mom and Dad just want me to be happy and are hoping this move will do that. I plan to rent a nice apartment here in the city and then probably look for some kind of job.

There was a halo to the moon and the air was damp as Rose set out for a walk in her neighborhood. She was glad she had put on the light jean jacket that skimmed her hips. Wearing her favorite pair of tennis shoes and her form fitting slim jeans she jammed her hands into the jacket pockets and headed off toward the park. She didn't know anyone in town just yet but she was not afraid to be by herself. In truth, she found the silence welcome.
Her last couple of weeks at home had been anything but peaceful it seems. She had just ended a long term relationship, or rather Chris, her fiance' had ended it, and she wanted to try to erase all that from her mind.
As Rose rounded a corner she could see the park a couple of blocks ahead of her. The moon was shining but masked as if it was veiled. The clouds seemed to make a misty shadow across the moon's plateau which looked very eery to her. Rose kept on walking.
She is wishing that she had a huge Labrador retriever like Jack with her as she sees a hooded figure heading her way on the same path she's on. Jack was her dog from high school and she had left him home til she gets established here. He's a very protective dog and she tells him all her deepest secrets.
She puts her head down more as if she doesn't see the guy but she's pretty sure he's already seen her. She tries crossing the grass to another area with more light but he seems to cut her off. Her heart starts beating a little faster then she remembers the mace in her jeans pocket and quickly moves her hand from the jacket to the jeans pocket and fumbles for a split second til she finds the trigger end and pulls it out.
She drops her hand to her side and is ready in case ............ the man suddenly yells at someone on the other side of the street and runs over to them.
*Sheesh, guess all those stories about Vampires and Werewolves and Witches have my nerves on edge.* she thinks quietly to herself as she stuffs the mace back deep inside her pocket again. *I wonder where such stories get started anyway. I seriously doubt such creatures exist, and especially not in this sleepy little town* She gets another eery feeling as the rain starts coming down harder. *What if it's true..........what if .......... there really ARE Vampires and such here? I wonder if they look like 'us' or if they are easy to pick out? And if there are Vampires then what about Werewolves? They usually are in each others's company if for no other reason than to fight over the so-called 'food chain'. YIKES! That means I AM PART OF THAT FOOD CHAIN if this is true!* she can feel her pulse quicken and her breathing a lot more rapid as she ponders these possibilities for her new found home town. Rose notices her palms are sweaty yet she feels cold in the rain. She hurries her steps back the way she just came half an hour before.
She wonders who the poor guy was that she almost maced. She is both relieved and embarrassed to think she almost maced some innocent guy out for a walk. She decides to head back home since the mist now turns to a full blown rain and the wind has picked up.
