[atrb=style,background-color: transparent,bTable] hey guys. my name is samantha maria ashby, but you can call me sam. everyone else does, so i guess you can too. i'm eighteen years young, and if it isn't already obvious, i'm a female. it should be. what isn't so obvious is the fact that i'm a psychic, but you can keep that a secret for now. |
personality
What am I like? Well I like to think that I’m pretty easy going, go with the flow type, you know? Nothing really fazes me I look at the world as shit happens and we get over it. There’s no point in letting things that you can’t control get you down. But that’s just how I look at it, I know they’re some people who just can’t handle everything that happens in life, really I think if I wasn’t so hard headed then I wouldn’t be able to do anything. I guess I’m just too stubborn to give up on well anything, at least that’s what everyone tells me. Besides being so stubborn I am rather sensitive to everyone around me, I find that I am very venerable to other people emotions, but that may be because I am a psychic. Which I should probably tell you about; my power is that Clairvoyance, which pretty much means I can sense things beyond the normal five human senses. I would guess that’s why I get so upset when other people are, though it also makes me very trusting towards my friends. I’m the go to girl when you need someone to talk to or just hang out with; I always keep the secrets I am told, unless not telling them can hurt the person who told me or someone else.
I find making friends a fairly easy thing to do, but I’m not really one to tell anyone else anything. I guess I just have a hard time trusting people, besides my boyfriend Nathan, I can trust him with anything. I’m pretty loyal when it comes to anyone I’m close to, I won’t throw you under a bridge as they say or leave you if someone gave me a “better deal”. I don’t believe in lying, cheating or being rude to someone’s face. I find it just terribly hard to tell people off, but don’t mix that up with me not being able to stand up for myself, I’m just more inclined to stick up for my family and friends then myself. Pretty much mess with my family and friends and you’re dead, I myself couldn’t care less what people have to say about me, freedom of speech, right?
According to my report card throughout school I am pretty smart and I am planning on becoming a lawyer later on once Nathan and I decide what we’re doing. I figure I just like making sure justice happens. As for vampires? Well I’m not incredibly fond of them but they haven’t given me any reason to hate them, so if I meet any then I’ll give them a chance. The same pretty much goes for all the other supernaturals too, I’ll give anyone a chance, I don’t think judging “a book by its cover” is very fair.
history
You want t know about my past? Well I have to warn you it is not of any exciting nature. I was born and raised in London England to my mom and dad, Alice and Steven. Though don’t let them catch me calling them by their first names, they were always very strict about that rule. I had a very formal lifestyle, not to rich but also nor poor, I got what I needed but if I wanted anything else I always had to raise my own money for it. I found this good for me in the end, even though it may have seemed terribly mean of my parents at the time. I find it helped teach me how to take proper care of money and when it is okay to spend it. I have to say, my parents taught me a lot of things that I didn’t see when I was younger. As I grew up I still lived a pretty normal life like that of any other British daughter. Even as I discovered my powers to be able to sense things that other people couldn’t, it didn’t change much. My parents were always telling me stories about other creatures living among us, of course at the time I had thought of it all as hock us pock us, but it turned out to be true. So I do have to thank them, if they hadn’t told me those stories then I would have been incredibly lost when I first started noticing my powers.
It wasn’t until I had just turned fourteen that my parents decided that they wanted me to come and live here and Jamerson Falls New Jersey. At the time I didn’t understand why, other than I thought they didn’t want me anymore and they were shipping me off to the highest bidder. But of course that wasn’t true, it turned out that they were just having trouble with money and couldn’t afford to get me the things I needed for High school. But I have to say once I got to my Aunts (who they had sent me to) I was quite happy, she turned out to be really nice and I also met quite a few people my age that were very nice.
It wasn’t till about grade eleven that I met Nathan, now I have to say that was the best part of my moving here even if it was a couple years after. We became friends rather quickly; he was a very nice gentleman, but I have to say, I don’t really know when our relationship turned romantic. I guess it just kind of happened, but I’m happy it did.

Alex found herself enjoying how easily he laughed and smiled and when he smiled she felt like she just wanted to smile back and not like she had to. For some reason it seemed like talking to him made her feel less pissed off about everything else that had happened recently; which was probably a good thing or she most likely would have snapped at him by now, and then she wouldn’t have been able to go enjoy the beach with him and that would have been a shame. She knew he was probably use to girls saying yes to him but she didn’t really care, she had said yes because she was also here for a beach and company was always a good thing to have.
Listening to his laughter made her smile. ”Ah, yes, now I remember. Though I do believe you were usually with some girls when I saw you.” A knowing look crossed her face. ”You must be the one I hear the human girls talking about all the time. The charming good looking one, yup, I can see it.” As they continued the walk down the slope she looked over at him and smirked. The humans seemed so gullible these days; it was almost too easy to get what you wanted from them. And Alex was one of the types of girls that liked a challenge and it was sad that manipulating humans didn’t really present one anymore. ”You must get a lot of girl’s numbers with that smile of yours.” He had a nice smile and for herself that was one of the first things she looked at in the man. Though she said it as a joke to make sure he didn’t get the wrong idea, though she was having fun with their little back and forth flirting game.
When they reached the bottom of the trail she heard him speak again. ”I’ve been here for quite a few years, somewhere around six years if I remember correctly. What about yourself?” She asked as she followed him down onto the beach, she had decided that she was going to let him decide where he wanted to go.
Looking over at the ocean she smiled they had made it down just as the sun was starting to disappear behind the rolling waves. ”It always looks so nice with the sun setting over it.” it was said almost to herself and Alex didn’t even really notice that she had said it.
