Alex had escaped the forest but the events of what had just happened still hung in her head and it took all she had not to fall forward on the ground and just cry. ”You’re stronger then that Alex!” She scolded herself, if she pretended it didn’t happen then it didn’t, right? That always worked for people, they just kept telling themselves that nothing happened, that it was all a dream or that it was their mind playing tricks on them. If you said it enough it worked, at least that’s what she had heard. ”That’s all I have to do; nothing happened it was a sick mind game, that’s all it was. My mind was bored; it wanted to fool me into thinking something happened. Nothing happened, I won’t let it win.” Denial, she knew full well she was in denial, but she couldn’t stop herself if she let the truth of the events worm there way through she would break down fully.
Making it to a bench she collapsed, it was dark now and no one was out. ”Now it’s time to break down Alex, no one can see, you can shove it deep down once you get it out.” It was now that the sob broke loose. Tears spilled down her cheeks as she pulled her legs up onto the bench and rocked back and forth. Her body was starting to shake and she was hyperventilating. ”You’re stronger then this Alex!” The voice inside her head said to her, it was calm so she should be calm right? Having this reaction would only make it worst, it wouldn’t help her or anyone who found her.
Taking a couple deep breaths Alex stopped the violent shaking that had taken over her body. But the tears still kept rolling and sighing she placed her head on her knees and let them come. No one was here to see, plus it usually helped to get this entire thing out, didn’t it? Or was that talking to someone about it...? Sighing Alex rolled her head on her knees, ”There will be no talking about this.” She swore to herself, that wouldn’t help it go away.

A lot was rolling through Brodir's mind right now. He was currently caught in a trap forged by his own sense of honor. It was situations like this that had caused Brodir to become disillusioned with vampire politics in the first place. Brodir just wanted to own a club and mainstream, for now, as a "normal" member of society. Vampire politics be damned Brodir thought, time for another trip to the park after its closing. Brodir had begun a petition with the city government to allow the park to be open after hours, at least after its restriction of sun down. Brodir would love to see a police officer try to arrest him again for being in the park after dark, oh the things he would do. Actually he would just glamour him away, Brodir wasn't the brutish vampire he once was, but it was fun to entertain the thought now and again.
Brodir entered the park from above, so no one would see him enter. Brodir landed without a sound, as vampires seemed to have a natural affinity for stealth. Brodir also moved very quietly by habit as well, trust me its a vampire modus operandi. As Brodir continued through the park he heard a sound he was all too familiar with, the sound of a woman crying. Brodir closed on the sound and saw the source, a woman sitting with her head in her lap, just crying. Brodir approached silently, maybe he could comfort this poor, aggrieved woman, and maybe earn the chance to feed he thought. What, sometimes it was hard to be completely altruistic when you possess such strong hunting instincts.
Brodir crept close enough to catch the scent of the woman's blood. Brodir immediately recognized it, for he had tasted of the blood before. Alex, the woman crying on the bench was Alex. A woman Brodir had known to be so full of life and whimsy was reduced to sobbing alone on a park bench. What ever was responsible for Alex's current state, Brodir felt obligated to try to right, he considered Alex a friend after all. And woe be to anyone if they were responsible for this, for Brodir was in a foul mood. Brodir had stopped several paces away from Alex, damned his quiet approach, he didn't want to startle Alex. "Alex..." , Brodir whispered, "...what is wrong?"

Lifting her head up she rubbed at her wet cheeks with her hand, this was pointless, what could was crying doing her right now? Other than keeping everything in her mind, and that was the last thing she wanted. ”Come on Alex calm down, deep breaths...” She spoke to herself in a soothing voice trying to get herself to believe everything was going to be okay. After all he didn’t mean it right? He had said that himself before she ran off. ”I shouldn’t have ran, what if he comes and finds me?” The thought had her swallowing a gulp, she knew she shouldn’t be afraid of him but she couldn’t help it. After what had happened she doubted she’d feel great being around any weres.
Her ears picked up movement and it made her jump and her stomach drop. Taking a deep breath she turned her head when she heard the person speak and the speed of her heart slowly calmed. It was only Brodir, he wouldn’t hurt her...At least she didn’t think so, then again she had thought that about him too... ”Stop it Alex! You need to stop thinking about it!” Taking a deep breath Alex choked back a sob before giving him a thin weak smile. ”Nothing’s wrong? Why would you say that? I’m fine.” Her voice was shaking and she wanted to hit herself for it, she was stronger than this.
Letting her legs slip off the bench she sat up and whipped at her wet cheeks again. ”It’s nice to see you again, how have you been?” Her voice was steadier now, though she figured that it was only out of sheer will and stubbornness, but it was still better then crying in front of someone. She was about to stand up when she realized her clothes were slightly tattered and very dirty. Taking another deep breath she closed her eyes and forced the tears back before curling her legs up against her again.

Brodir didn't buy Alex's weak attempt to cover up her emotional turmoil. Something had obviously happened to sully Alex's usual high spirits, and that something must have been awful indeed. Alex's face was wet with tears, and she was just barely holding back the sobs. Her clothing was also tattered and dirty, which Alex tried to feebly hide once she realized Brodir could see them. Alex was back to sitting on the bench with her knees tucked against her.
Alex had been attacked, Brodir knew, he had seen the aftermath of thousands of attacks, across many lands, across many eras. Brodir took stock of Alex's condition as quickly he could, and saw no real visible wounds. The damage to her clothing had also been localized, Brodir knew what kind of attack Alex had suffered, for this too Brodir had seen thousands of times. At one time it was even an accepted practice to inflict upon the women of those you have conquered. The more people claim that things have changed the more they stayed the same, Brodir thought.
Brodir removed a handkerchief from one of his pockets, it was an old habit of his to carry one, one that still persisted into these modern nights. "It is good to see you as well Alex, although I wish the circumstances were better." Brodir just decided to confront Alex about what she was trying to hide, "You know I am old, I have seen this thousands of times, so to put it into modern slang, I'm not buying what you are selling. Something happened, something terrible." Brodir offered the handkerchief to Alex, "Here, dry your tears. I know you have not asked for my advice, but I have found the best way to deal with this is to not ignore it, denial will only serve to kill your spirit." Brodir didn't want to see Alex destroyed, he liked the person she was, the person he hoped she could be again.
"Say the word, and I shall kill whoever was responsible for this." Brodir regretted saying that, although he meant it, it didn't want to imply Alex couldn't take care of her self. "Better yet, say the word, and I will help you kill the one who did this." Brodir liked that option better, that way Alex could get the revenge she deserves.

Alex could tell by the way he looked her over that he wasn’t buying anything she was saying. She wasn’t sure if that bugged her or made her feel better. On one hand she wanted to be alone and just curl up in a ball and cry but on the other she wanted someone to hold onto. Her fears of him not buying it were only strengthened when he said he didn’t and Alex couldn’t even find it in herself to be annoyed, no one in their right mind would have believed the lies that she was telling right now. But that didn’t stop her from continuing to lie; she was prepared to lie through her teeth.
”What are you talking about? I only fell down a hill in the woods, nothing bad. Really, I’m fine. “ Now she wasn’t sure if she was trying to convince herself more or him. She wasn’t fine and she knew it, but it was just so much easier to lock herself away in her mind and forget about it. That’s what people always did, wasn’t it? They never faced their problems, it was a fault of the human race and Alex knew she wasn’t like that, but it didn’t stop her from wishing she was.
When he passed her the handkerchief Alex gave him a shaking smile as she accepted it. Whipping at her cheeks Alex took a death breath and really thought she had it under control until he spoke again. A shaky sob broke loose before she could control it and she found herself burying her head between her knees again to muffle the sound. Who was she kidding? Oh yeah, no one. She wouldn’t be able to stop crying. Lifting her head from her knees she offered Brodir a thin smile. ”That’s very sweet of you, but no one is to blame for this.” She replied as the tears continued to roll down her face. ”No one but me at least.” The whispered the last part before breaking down again.
She probably looked like a fool right now to him but she couldn’t help it, she just really wanted someone to hold onto through all this and she didn’t have that. Her whole body started to shake again and she tried feebly to make it stop. ”I’m so weak.” She thought. This shouldn’t have affected her so much. And moving her hand up to her shoulders she tried to force her body to stop the violent shaking but it was no use.

Brodir removed his jacket and hung it around Alex's shoulders, keeping one of his hand's on her shoulder. Brodir sat down next to her, and hugged her tight, hoping his proximity didn't make her uncomfortable. Brodir just didn't want to leave Alex alone right now, the fact that she was blaming herself was not a good sign, Brodir was worried for her. In Brodir's personal experience some victims would do foolish things, he didn't want Alex to join them.
"This isn't your fault, why would you even think that?" Brodir was actually curious as to why she would want to blame herself, as so many victims often did. He just didn't understand the mindset, even the mightiest of warriors can be felled under the right circumstances. "You do know that even the strongest of warriors can fall. In the waning moments of my life, even I fell in combat. Against a foe I considered inferior." Brodir decided to relate the tale of his death to Alex.
"I once managed to kill a king and his bodyguards, in a battle that the bards of Ireland told for many years. Although I knew as I left the king's tent that I was not going to survive my wounds sustained in the fight." Brodir hadn't told this story in a long time, but it was one of the most defining moments of his life. "As I collapsed, with my life's blood spilling forth, more of the king's men came upon. I was terrified... of them, of dying." Brodir had never admitted that part to anyone before. "I blamed myself, if only I had been faster, stronger...", Brodir didn't have the words to finish that sentence. He hoped Alex would understand the reason behind him relating the story to her, especially the part about his own fear.

When he placed his jacket over her shoulders she grabbed the edges of it and pulled them tight around herself. Wanting to cover her head with it and just stay in the dark. Fighting off the feeling Alex turned her head to look at Brodir, letting go of one of the coats edges just long enough to brush the hair back out of her face and whip her cheeks again. This had to be the most she’s cried in a very long time. When he didn’t remove his hand from her shoulder she couldn’t help but flinch a little. It was going to be awhile before she was comfortable with that.
But when he hugged her, she couldn't help but lean into him; this was what she needed right now. She truly did not want to talk about, out of not wanting to provoke him or thinking it would hurt her more in the end to say it happened, Alex was not sure. Sighing she rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. ”Thank you...I needed this.” She didn’t like to admit that she needed anything from anyone, but she figured that it may get her out of telling him what actually happened.
When he asked her why she thought it was her fault she sat up from leaning on him. ”I ask to hangout...I shouldn’t have. Stupid move.” The words stumbled out of her mouth and it took all of her power not to start sobbing again. She should have known what was wrong with him to begin with; it shouldn’t have taken her so long to realize it.
She turned her head when he started to speak again; she wasn’t sure where he was going with it for the first while. But soon she found herself nodding in understanding. Taking another deep breath she got the shaking to stop. He was right with saying that everyone went through at least one thing that made them break down, but through it all she couldn’t help but be sorry for him. ”I’m sorry to hear that, but that wasn’t your fault at all.” Her voice was sympathetic but she kept her eyes casted downward.

Brodir sat there still hugging Alex tightly to himself. It has been a long time since Brodir has consoled someone. However Alex was one of the only non-vampires that Brodir has considered a friend in a very long time, so he felt he owed her what comfort he could give. "Well if you maintain that I was not to blame, why continue to blame yourself? Perhaps we are both blameless, slaves to circumstances beyond our control."
Brodir had learned over his long years that sometimes no matter how hard you try some things are just beyond your control. "I know I do not wish to see the incredible person you are drown under a river of self doubt and denial. So I will be here for you as long as you continue to blame yourself for circumstances beyond your control, I have an eternity after all." That was the big picture of course, the smaller picture was that he only had about twelve hours till sunrise. However he meant the platitude, he would be here for Alex, for he did not like to see those he considered friends in pain.
Brodir could feel Alex's warmth against him, considered what she may be going through right now and how he could best help her. Although he couldn't help but wonder what happened to some of the victims he had left behind in his days as a young vampire. In the first hundred or so years of his time as a vampire, Brodir had been much like any young vampire. He reveled in his powers and fed on, killed and abused those mortals around him. Brodir had let some of his victims live, so they would live out their days wondering when the night would come for them again. Brodir had been quite the monster in those nights.
These nights Brodir considered himself beyond that. True he certainly was no saint, he liked to believe he was no longer a monster. Brodir no longer tortured and killed for the pleasure of it, such things he had found were just unnecessary. There was just no point in wickedness for its own sake. Brodir liked to think he had matured as a vampire, though he wondered if Alex would still except his comfort if she knew how he had been. Actually Brodir wondered if Alex suspected the truth or not, after all so many vampires are quite monstrous, even some older than he. Perhaps they use such behavior to combat the ennui of age, Brodir had found, at least in his experience, that it only added to it.
Brodir shook himself from his own thoughts, he was here to comfort Alex after all. It was time to concentrate on her, not to once again debate my own past and morality Brodir thought.

Alex let out a shuddered breath; she could see where he was coming from and couldn’t help but agree with him. She wasn’t usually one to blame herself for anything, unless of course the blame was rightfully hers. But in this case it wasn’t, and even though that was hard for her to admit to herself she knew it was true. There was nothing she could have done to change the situation, she had believed that he wouldn’t hurt her and she had got it wrong. There was nothing else to it other than that she laid her trust on the wrong person. ”How sad considering I don’t usually trust people...” Shaking her head at the thought Alex knew she was going to have to be even more careful around people. Getting close wasn’t a good idea, not in this day in time.
”You just don’t understand...” Shaking her head again Alex looked up at him her eyes filled with sorrow and under lying pain. There was no way he could understand this, after all, he hadn’t gone through it. ”That doesn’t mean he can’t understand it...” The voice inside her head was trying to bring reason back to her, of course it wasn’t really working, Alex felt rather close to hysteria. ”People can understand, at least slightly from seeing it or knowing about it.” Taking another shaking breath she acknowledged the stern voice. It had to be true; someone had to be able to understand, even if not fully at least they could be compassionate. ”Is that really what I want?” She wasn’t really sure.
Her lips curved up in a dim smile when he spoke. ”Thank you...” She whispered leaning her head back onto his shoulder. This wouldn’t last but Alex knew she was going to take the help for as long as it was offered. He really was at least helping get her mind off of it a little. ”Tell me a story please.” Not really sure where the request came from she pulled herself closer to him before pulling the coat around herself again. Finding herself really hoping that he had another story he could share with her, she truly appreciated that he was here right now. After all, he could have ran off as soon as he saw what was wrong, and Alex wasn’t naive enough to think that he hadn’t figured it out.

Brodir pondered a bit, he had never been much of a storyteller. Brodir of course had many stories, most of them about battle, the rest about the intrigue of vampire politics. Brodir had many a tale of warfare on the front lines of many conflicts, or the assassinations he has carried out at the behest of monarchs. Brodir wasn't sure what type of story to relate, he was pretty sure she wouldn't want to hear a tale of combat and bloodshed. I should also avoid the tales of his first few years as a vampire, Brodir thought to himself. Though there was a story from about four hundred years ago of a woman Brodir once knew and had cared for. In fact Alex and her had a lot in common Brodir thought, they were both strong women full of life, and they had both been brought low by the heinous actions of others. But Lucita, that was her name, recovered and so too would Alex.
"I have one tale I can tell you, it was the year of our Lord 1187, and I was traveling through the country of Aragon. Aragon is now part of modern day Spain." Brodir wasn't sure if Alex had known that or not. "I had been more of a hellion in those nights, though I met a young noble women, a daughter of the Argonese king, Alfons I, in fact. I guess you could say she tamed me a bit at the time." That was true enough, the time he spent with Lucita had been sobering, she helped him garner more of an appreciation for life.
"Lucita was a rebel and often defied her family and father. She had snuck out one night, and that is how we met." Brodir had at the time considered draining her dry but she had been so alive and full of energy, Brodir couldn't bring himself to harm her. "Needless to say I became quite enthralled with her, and we had a whirlwind romance." Brodir smiled at the memories, "Actually we had met in a tavern, not unlike our first meeting." Brodir smiled at how the two chance meetings had been so similar.
"Although things were not to last, as I had said I was more of a hellion in those nights, and my activities before meeting Lucita had attracted the attention of some church sponsored witch hunters. Think of them as an early precursor to the Spanish Inquisition." The memories of the witch hunter and what they had done to Lucita still angered Brodir, even though they were long since dead. "One day as I slept in a hidden area of the house I slept in, the witch hunters stormed my house declaring me a demon. Unfortunately Lucita had slept through into the day at my and they took her." Brodir couldn't help but have anger in his voice as he spoke of them.
"They visited upon Lucita many tortures in order to try to get her tell them where I had gone to ground for the day. She never broke, she endured everything they did to her to keep me safe." No one else had ever done that before for Brodir, and none since. "Lucita had partaken of my blood, so I could feel her pain, it was intense enough to awaken me during the day." This was one of the reason Brodir was hesitant to share his blood with mortal these nights. "Come nightfall I ran to Lucita's side, her having my blood allowed me to sense her location. I killed her captors, they had been unprepared for the ferocity of my assault." The assault had been ferocious, and only lasted mere minutes. "I used my blood to heal Lucita's wounds and took her back to my place."
"Lucita eventually recovered in both body and spirit, it was shortly after that, that I had left her." It had been difficult to leave Lucita but Brodir had known it was for the best. "I told her I could not bare to bring her such harm again, and after a very fond farewell, we let each other go." Brodir hugged Alex a bit closer, "You remind me of Lucita, you are both strong and full of life, she survived, and I believe so will you. You must not blame yourself for the base actions of others."

Alex curved her head into Brodir’s shoulder as she listened to him start his story. She wasn’t sure what type of stories vampires had but she was pretty sure most of them wouldn’t be the cuddly and cute type. Though she was quite certain that Brodir knew she wouldn’t want to hear one about anything to gruesome. ”Hopefully he has something...” She was just about to tell him to forget she had asked because he was taking a little to think it over. Just as she was about to open her mouth he started talking and Alex moved her head slightly so she could look up at him.
When he started to speak of a woman and the things they went through she couldn’t help but feel like she should be trying to comfort him in some way. ”I shouldn’t have asked him.” Alex found herself looking up at him sympathetically, she wanted to tell him something that would make him feel better but she just didn’t know what. ”She loved you.” A small nod formed from her. ”It’s hard to find that these days, someone you can trust to not throw you under the bus. You’re a lucky man.” Smiling towards him she continued to think. ”I’m sorry you had to leave her.” She could only imagine how hard that would have been, but when you really loved someone you put them before yourself. Alex could see how at the time it would have been for the best for them to go separate ways.
”Thank you for sharing that with me.” Not being sure if it was something he told many people Alex couldn’t help but be thankful. She could tell that it hurt him to speak of the memory and that the actions that took place still angered him. When he hugged her closer she moved in with him arms. It seemed they both needed their own type of comfort at the moment. ”She must have been lovely.” She replied to his comment about her reminding him of Lucita and couldn’t help but wonder if she was still alive or not. Deciding it was probably better not to ask she let out a small sigh before focusing back in on what Brodir was saying.
”It means a lot that you think so.” Alex smiled weakly at him, she felt like all of her energy had been fully drained from her body. ”I guess time will tell right?” Letting out a sigh she let her eyes slide shut, her head still rested on his shoulder. ”I know you’re right...I do really. It’s just so hard, it’s not like he’s here to blame.” She sat up abruptly gesturing with her hand towards the forest. She was starting to get angry about it now, and really, she wasn’t sure which emoticon was worst.

As Brodir listened to Alex's reply to his story, he began to wish that there was something more he could do for her. Alex after all was probably the only real friend he had in Jamerson Falls, that wasn't a vampire. Brodir had vampire friends here, but he tended to keep his vampire friends and mortal friends in different categories. Brodir didn't rally treat them differently, he just thought they belonged in different categories. Then again Brodir can't remember the last time he was comforting a fellow vampire like this, maybe he did treat them differently. Or perhaps it was just Alex, he couldn't recall the last mortal friend he comforted this way either. Damn, who was my last mortal friend, Brodir thought to himself.
Then Alex mentioned 'he', the 'he' who was responsible for this. The 'he' that Brodir suddenly imagined seeking revenge on, on Alex's behalf. Brodir suddenly became angry again as he played through the events in his mind as he imagined them. Yeah, someone was going to die for this, Brodir told himself. Suddenly Alex sat up too, her self appearing to be angry as Brodir was looking at her. Alex gestured forcefully in the direction of the stating that 'he' wasn't here to blame. Its a good thing for 'he' that he wasn't, Brodir would not hesitate in removing his head.
Brodir turned to look back at Alex, he was suppose to be here for her after all, not his own petty thoughts of vengeance. It was Alex who needed the vengeance. Brodir remembered once reading a theory on the stages of grief. Denial was one of the first stages if he recalled correctly. Anger was one of the next stages, Brodir's favorite stage. It was often anger that Brodir found help people stop feeling like victims, although he did agree that anger wasn't healthy if it lasted too long.
Brodir just sat there staring at Alex, waiting patiently for what she would say next. Brodir was glad that he could be here for Alex.

Letting out a deep sigh Alex dropped her head to her knees feeling defeated. This wasn’t like her, letting things do so much harm. But she couldn’t help it; it was like all she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and wish the world away. This situation wasn’t one that she would have thought herself to be in...Not in a million years. Then again people do say that bad things happen to those who don’t suspect it. Or did they say that? She wasn’t too sure. What she was sure of was that she wasn’t happy to have been made a victim of and she was even less happy to have had all the control she worked so hard to posses be taken away. The person was going to pay...she didn’t know when or how, but oh yes, he was going to.
Tears were fighting their way out again and Alex knew that they were now tears of angry. She still felt the lingering blame that she had placed on herself, but at this point in time her mind was more focussed on images of what she hoped to happen to the man who did it. The were. Pfft, she wasn’t even sure if they could be classified as men. Letting out a deep sigh she forced the tears back, enough had already been wasted on him. She was determined to show Brodir she was okay or at least put on the act of it.
Turning her head she looked at him. ”What do you say we go do something?” Looking down at herself she let out a dry laugh. ”Well not in public.” Forcing a smile onto her lips she waited for his answer, she was well aware that the smile probably didn’t reach her eyes, but in the little light there was she was hoping he wouldn’t notice.

Brodir looked down at Alex as she looked up at him wearing a weak smile on her face. Brodir got the sense that Alex was just putting on a brave front yet again, but he had decided to leave to her what dignity she wanted. "I am available for anything you wish to do." Brodir looked down at Alex's clothes, "We could still go out in public if you wish, we could just stop by your place and get you a change of clothing." Though perhaps him escorting her home wouldn't be something she would be comfortable with at the moment. "But we can do whatever it is you wish to do, just let me know."
Brodir then thought of something else there was a good chance that Alex had injuries. "Alex, if I might make a suggestion? You do know of the healing properties of vampire blood right? If you'd like I could give you my blood." There were of course several side effects he she warn her of before he were to give her any. "There are a few side effects you should be aware of first however. You will become slightly stronger and faster than you already are, your senses would also be heightened beyond the enhanced senses you possess as a shifter." Those of course were the positive side effects of consuming vampire blood. "Your libido would also become enhanced as there would also be dreams. The dreams would be of me and of an intimate nature." Then again Brodir hoped she already had those. Then there was one final side effect that Brodir thought she should be aware of, "The final side effect would be that I would always know where you are and be able to sense your emotional state."
"That final side effect would allow me to defend you from harm, as I could be at your side at a moments notice." Though during the day he would still be useless. "During daylight hours though I would still be unable to help you of course." Brodir decided to let Alex think all of that over. "Think it over and let me know. Also let me know as to what you would like to go and do."

Shaking her head lightly she declined his offer. ”I’d rather not go home right now.” She knew it was something she shouldn’t be afraid of, it wasn’t like it had happened at her house. But for whatever reason her stomach knotted up when she thought of being inside the place she called home. ”Ha, very brave of you Alex.” She thought the whole time wanting to grab her shoulders and shake some sense into herself. She shouldn’t be afraid to have someone walk her home let alone enter her own house. Oh she could kill that guy...she couldn’t believe she was letting someone take her peace of mind away but she couldn’t seem to stop it from happening.
When he spoke of her blood Alex couldn’t keep the look of shock off her face, after the story he had just shared with her she had doubted he’d ever share blood again. Forcing herself to nod she replied to him, ”Yes, I do know of them. But you don’t have to do that, I heal quicker than normal humans.” She didn’t want him to feel like he had to share his blood with her. And she also didn’t want to let him know that since her injuries were caused by another supernatural species and well she was in human form it would take longer for even her to heal. ”Probably like a human.” Not realizing she had said it out loud she continued to listen to him speak. She was actually quite surprised at some of the things vampire blood could do, she had of course had it before but even she hadn’t had some of these things happen.
”Oh sweet cheeks, who said I didn’t already have those?” A part of her old self had forced its way through and she sent a little wink his way. When he spoke of the last one she shook her head. ”I can’t ask you to do that.” She let out a dry shaky laugh. ”Trust me; you don’t want to be up here.” Alex whispered as she tapped her head lightly. It was true; she didn’t feel right asking him to go through what he had before with a woman. Though she couldn’t deny that it was an intriguing thought...At least some of the side effects sounded quite pleasant.
Turning herself around, she reached up with her hand and touched his cheek. ”You’re sweet...And offering more then I can ask of you. Thank you though, really.” She wrapped her arms around him as she spoke the need for being close to someone right now was almost unbearable. Though she knew she wasn’t exactly in her right state of mind at this point. ”Maybe we could just stay here for a little...ha-ha I’m not sure what I want to do actually.” Still feeling lost she pushed herself back against the bench and looked blankly out at the trees that lined the forest. Honestly she had no idea what to do at all.
